Actually this guy is wrong in saying there was no scientific consensus about global cooling. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/347966094_The_1970s_Global_Cooling_Consensus_was_not_a_Myth]there was indeed a consensus and there were thousands of papers published on the subject at the time. But none made it into the digital age; who wants their failed predictions to be made immortal by translating them from paper to computer?
And it didn't start with the Seventies (although it got a big boost thanks to Paul Ehrlich and the Club of Rome study "Limits to Growth"). A commenter at the AT article gives a little bit of history:

European Vacation - Canadian Style

Hee is a good article about how Canada is voluntarily re-colonizing itself, moving to restore it's historic role riding bitch for the European Vienna Sausages and their budding sprouts of Brussels.
I would like to add any such agreement would be a violation of the Monroe Doctrine, that old policy of the United States that said any incursion into the Western Hemisphere by a former colonial power will not be tolerated was what ultimately led to the de-colonization of this hemisphere and while Canada may have been exempted from this in times past mainly because we couldn't beat Britain in a war (we tried to take Canada in the War of 1812) but our demand was never revoked, and now we can beat Britain. But it's not even Britain that is trying to reassert colonial authority over Canada -it's the European Bunion, er, Union. That is a new colonial power and it must not be allowed to recolonize the Americas.
(This same is true about Greenland, a large body in North America dominated by a foreign colonial government (laughably a "power") that is wholly incapable of defending their claim on the giant frozen ice chunk.)
We need to reinvigorate the Monroe Doctrine - the "Trumproe Doctrine"? Whatever we call it we should make it clear Europe is not welcome here. If they want to recolonize some place try Africa - or Asia. Somehow I think the Indians and Chinese both wouldn't be such easy pickings...
The Europeans and their spawn - Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. - ae akin to the Little Red Hen; they want no part of making the cake but when it is time to eat they tuck the napkin under their chin and reach for the pigslice with relish. They didn't want to help us protect them, insisting they were big boys who could take care of themselves, but then they want us to underwrite their whole civilization so they can enjoy themselves at our expense. Does that sound familiar? It's exactly what teenagers do.
Being an adult has it's privileges but also it's responsibilities. He who shall not work shall not eat. For far too long the elites of Europe wanted to feast while not carrying their own weight. That had to end sooner or later. If it had been later it would be when the U.S. collapsed from big spending. It's happening earlier now because President Trump and MAGA got fed up. That is actually a kindness; a whole continent cannot remain in childhood forever.
At any rate Carney is now cozying up to Europe and China in the hopes of leading the New World Order and it's international system of the Antichrist. But Canada is uniquely ill-suited to any serious leadership and I suspect most of them realize it. They only exist as a country because first Britain then the U.S. protected them, allowing them to not do the serious things necessary to be a truly independent nation. And they could barely get along with each-other; Quebec has always threatened to secede if they didn't get their way, and their way has always been to be far to the Left of the Anglos. So Canada developed this overly polite national character, afraid to offend anyone lest the fragile alliance shatter. That is not a nation capable of leading; Canadians are the ultimate yes men, true followers.
I have poking fun at Canada since they picked this fight with Trump and really do not intend to mock them so much as have a little fun with them; Canada has many wonderful qualities. But Canada is not the U.S. and they think differently than do we. We settled America individually, with pioneers who went out beyond the frontier and who built self-reliant homesteads. Canada was settled largely by government program, with the protection of the British military every step of the way. They are naturally more collectivist than are we as a result. And of course that is a large part of why Canada is under-populated; if Americans had taken Canada during the Revolution or the War of 1812 we'd have major cities all the way up deep into the Yukon, and the Great Slave Lake would be a major tourist attraction today. Canada could barely settle her own territory. Yes, part of that is that Canada is vast and cold, but part of it is that they just don't have the spunk, the pioneering spirit, as do we. We developed that through a history involving struggle and pain and determination. Grit. Canadians always had Britain to back them up - like toadies to a schoolyard bully.
So what does Mark Carney do when confronted with a strong American President who wants to renegotiate a trade deal? Does he act like a man? No - he runs off to find a big guy to help him bully America, Canada's traditional protector and prime trading partner.
At any rate Canada wants to be colonized again and Mark Carney is moving them toward it at breakneck speed. Trump should remind them of the Monroe Doctrine and make it clear he's not going to allow Europe or China to invade the Western Hemisphere and colonize the lands here. He's already doing that, applying financial pressures, but we should look at applying a whole lot more. In the end while trade with Canada is welcome it is far from critical to America, but it IS critical to Canada. Let's see how the Canadians do when they can't get shipping through to the St. Lawrence seaway.
The best outcome would be for Canada to toss out the tosser Carney. But Canada has always lacked good sense. Too much back bacon and donuts in their diets, I suspect.
One final word; Canada had for some time been letting their side of the border remain open, and allowed aliens to come to Canada for the express purpose of invading the United States. That was an act of war and we ignored it for a long time. That is not the act of a friend. If Canada wants all these aliens they have the right to accept them, but it is their responsibility to see to it their problem does not become our problem. But they did it on the theory that it should be our problem. I would go a step further and say they did it just to screw us over. They believe the U.S. should be brought down a peg or two. Pure jealousy on their parts (I mean, they made Canada Day July 1 solely so it coincided with the American Independence Day three days later, talk about an inauthentic country with a huge inferiority complex!) So Carney has no grounds for complaint. Canada needs to replace their quasi-socialist leadership now, while there still is a Canada. I predict Canada will collapse in the next couple of decades if they do not.
Not sure anyone will miss her, either.

eminist sports icon Billie Jean King is at it again, oblivious to economics and banging on about "equal pay” for female tennis players. It apparently never occurs to her that there’s one way to get the men’s money.
The same way the men do: Compete on the men’s tour and succeed.
Oh, that’s too much to ask? The women couldn’t cut it there?
Well, look at that: You just learned, Billie, why they’re not making the men’s money.
I know how the gals feel, too. A long-retired tennis pro, I also couldn’t cut it on the men’s tour (and in my day there was no such thing as donning a dress and identifying as Billie Jean Duke to cash in). So I didn’t get their money, either.
See how that works?
The story here is that ex-tennis champion King, 82, who is "married” (ahem) to another woman, needs a man — badly. In fact, she just recently criticized former men’s number one Roger Federer, 45, for not helping the women get prize money the market says they don’t deserve. Apparently, her cause is his obligation.
"‘I wish he would fight harder for equality, because I keep telling him: ‘You have two sons and two daughters. There is equality in your home,’” Tennis World quoted King as saying. "Do you think he would ever do something to create a stir? He doesn’t want to. I would like to earn more, too.”
Well, nothing proves you’re an "independent woman” like needing a man to help you make bank.
Really, though, how does King know there’s equality in Federer’s home? I mean, there isn't equality hardly anywhere else, as it’s not this world’s norm. If he’s like most parents, too, chores may be sex specific (even if servants perform them), with daughters more likely to load the dishwasher and sons to mow the lawn.
But King really, really cares about equality. That’s why she has highlighted how female fashion models are paid substantially more than their male counterparts, right?

Kevin Warsh; the Empire Strikes Back

Kevin Warsh, a Keynsian "inflation hawk" just pushed through an interest rate hike, leading American Thinker to speculate that Warsh will be a thorn in Trump's side, a point you may remember I made when the Orange Peril nominated him in the first place.
Warsh, by raising interest rates, just killed home sales. Nobody is going to be able to afford big loans when they are paying less.
That is the trouble with Keynsian economics; it assumes government always knows what is best if they hire "experts" and that they can manipulate us all to wealth and prosperity and happiness. But government does not produce anything and any actions they take have consequences, often unseen, that restrict and repress.
These guys aren't half as smart as they think they are. Warsh believes in what every Fed chair and almost every Fed board member has always believed; that the economy is best run by people like themselves. You can't make the economy work by manipulating it in this way. The economy roars when it is unleashed.
As the author points out Warsh just raised interest rates before an election and this is leading to the stock market tanking. Coincidence? I suspect Warsh is just another D.C. Insider who is purposely undercutting Trump.
Trump has got to learn to appoint better people. There are dozens of guys who have the skills to do that job. No reason to get a guy like this.
And now the die are cast and this guy can't be removed.
So the Nicholas Biddle policy at the Federal Reserve continues and there isn't anything we can do about it.
I was feeling pretty good about the upcoming elections but not anymore. Between this and the Supreme Court not letting the Post Office screen mail-in ballots and I now think we are in big trouble. The Empire has struck back.

Abstract
We briefly review the dominant role of clouds in Earth’s climate. The earliest observational
studies of heat transfer through Earth’s atmosphere, for example, those of John Leslie around
1800, showed that clouds have a large effect on radiative heat transfer from Earth’s surface to
space. Greenhouse gases also affect heat transfer, but much less than clouds. For example, "in
stantaneously doubling” CO2 concentrations, a 100% increase, only decreases radiation to space
by about 1%. To increase solar heating of the Earth by a few percent, low cloud cover only needs
to decrease by a few percent. The first half of this paper reviews observational facts about how
clouds affect heat transfer. The second half gives a brief summary of the new 2n-stream radiation
transfer theory for quantitatively analysing how clouds scatter radiation incident from outside the
cloud, and how they emit thermal radiation generated by their particulates.

Abstract
Persistent global warming is modulated by cloud changes, yet the specific contributions and associated controlling factors remain inadequately quantified. Using CERES radiation data with a surface energy-balance framework, we quantify the contribution of cloud radiative changes to decadal surface temperature trends over 2002–2023. Cloud changes exert a weak net effect on global mean warming due to near-cancellation between shortwave warming and longwave cooling, but strongly modulate the meridional pattern of zonal-mean warming. Specifically, clouds enhance warming in low- and mid-latitudes while mitigating warming at high latitudes. This pattern is associated with a systematic redistribution of cloud occurrence from low-/mid-level cloud types to high-level optically thin clouds, which reduce planetary albedo and weaken cloud longwave emission. These changes exhibit hemispheric difference. In 30–60° N, the region contributing most to global warming, the decline in the cloud-reflected solar radiation is mainly driven by decreased cloud fraction, linked to elevated sea surface temperatures, aerosol reductions, and mid-tropospheric drying. In 30–60° S, reduced cloud reflectivity resulting from decreased cloud optical thickness and increased liquid droplet radius dominates. However, at high latitudes in both hemispheres, increased mid-/high-clouds and enhanced cloud reflectivity, driven by enhanced moisture, upper-tropospheric static stability and increased cloud optical thickness, lead to greater reflected solar radiation and reduced downwelling longwave radiation, thereby attenuating local warming. Our results establish a direct observational link between cloud-type changes, planetary albedo decline, and contrasting warming across latitude zones, characterizing the cloud-radiative changes in recent climate change.

Fat, Weak, and Stupid is no way to go through Life

When he's right he's right!
Rove, Bush's brain, as they called him (sheesh; if he was THAT guy's brain...) has always been a terrible political consultant who could barely carry Bush across the finish line twice, even though both should have been easy wins. Rove is a big believer in "moving on" and letting a lie stand rather than fight back. He was the kind of guy who, in grammar school, told on you to the teacher and who hid from bullies all the time.
It was this policy that gave us Barack Obama; he and the GOP simply refused to fight back and got their collective trousers pulled up over their heads and got stabbed with their compasses. Rove never met a fight he didn't run away from.
And, following his program, the Democrats leeched power away from the GOP through the Bush era simply by being aggressive, knowing Rove would counsel backpeddling. I would say he's a counterpuncher but you actually have to counter-punch to be one.
Now he sits on the board of Fox News and there is a reason why Fox has moved to the Left fo the last few years. He's ruining our network, turning it into the Bush Network (Rove is basically the Bush family lawyer).
He is a guy whose time has passed. Even if you cut him a lot of slack, his approach is all wrong for this bare-knuckle political era. Now is time for a fighter, not a guy who wears a propeller beanie and a pocket protector. The public doesn't see him as reasonable - they see him as weak and fat and foolish. He's a man for a gentler era, at best.
He needs to rove off somewhere else.

Courts Slow-Walked USPS Case to Let Democrats Steal Midterms

Justice Alito hints SCOTUS purposely slow-walked the election integrity measure involving the USPS purposely.

The decision — which effectively bars the policy from taking effect for the fall elections — was presumably 7-2, with Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas saying they would have granted the government’s request for relief. Aside from Justice Brett Kavanaugh — who said the USPS rule seems lawful but denied the government’s request because it’s too close to the midterms for election officials to implement it — the majority offered little explanation for its decision.
Alito, on the other hand, penned a lengthy dissent (joined by Thomas) outlining several issues with the court’s holding. It was in this opinion that the Bush 43 appointee seemingly telegraphed some potentially nefarious shenanigans by the court’s Democrat appointees in the case.
The apparent hint came in the dissent’s concluding pages, in which Alito refuted the alleged concerns that the Democrat-led states challenging the Postal Service rule had regarding "the practical effects of implementing the rule close to the midterm elections.” While taking "that problem very seriously,” the justice highlighted two key points demonstrating why it isn’t enough to warrant rejecting the government’s request to implement the rule for the 2026 contests.
On one hand, the senior justice noted how not even all the challenging states agree "about the nature of these effects.” "Twelve States supported the rule below and asserted that compliance at this time is practicable,” he wrote.
The other and more significant point raised by Alito, however, is that the plaintiff states and federal courts — including SCOTUS — "bear a substantial share of the blame for the rule’s timing.”
The justice chronicled the timeline of how the challenging states immediately sued the administration after Trump signed the contested order in late March, and how such litigation "cast a cloud over the Government’s ability to issue a final rule.” He further observed how Obama-appointed District Judge Indira Talwani strung this lawfare along by "enter[ing] several injunctions months later prohibiting the Government from undertaking that rulemaking.
We are DEAD when Alito or Thomas retire or pass away. Not a single Trump appointed Justice is worth a thing.
We are equally dead if the Democrats steal this next election; if they win Trump will be a powerless lame-duck and the people who can take his mantle and run with it - Vance, Rubio, etc. will never get their chance as the GOP Establishment will reassert authority over the part and we'll always run RINO candidates "because they are electable" and America will continue it's long, horrible slide.
SCOTUS had a real chance to end the corruption that has been twisting America into an obscene shape for decades now but cowardice led them to fail to act out of fear of being spoken ill of, and they may well have just cost America her future.
They will have to answer to God for this ruling.
The problem is guys like Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and Conehead Barrett all come from inside the beltway; they are insiders and always have been, always trying to get their own snouts in the trough. They think like insiders. They do not understand the serious peril this country finds itself in and think this is something that can be corrected down the line. The are more interested in pleasing the media than in doing what is right.
So the Democrats will probably steal at least ten House seats - more like 25, and maybe five or six Senate seats. And then the fun starts as they bring back the impeachments, the investigations, cut off funding for important things like Iran, etc.
Years ago, when Trump first took office, Rush Limbaugh warned that the Ruling Class - both parties - had to destroy Trump. Not just that they wanted to, they had to, because they could not let anyone ever try that again. The message had to be crystal clear; buck them and you will be destroyed. The Supreme Court has just sided with the Ruling Class.
I fear America is doomed. This was our last chance to fix the country and it's about to flame out due to dirty tricksterism and corrupt judges.

The FBI said during its 2024 investigation that it had not identified any co-conspirators or anyone with advance knowledge of Crooks' attack.
Trump's comments followed new reporting by the New York Post based on federal records provided to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, as part of his investigation into the Butler shooting.
The records reportedly provide new details about Crooks' growing interest in firearms and long-distance shooting before the assassination attempt.
Crooks' father, Matthew, told investigators that his son became interested in firearms during the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually grew knowledgeable about shooting at distances exceeding 100 yards.
It wasn't just a Democratic plot, it was a truly bipartisan effort. BOTH parties hated Trump. It was the Ruling Class who sought to eliminate a guy they couldn't beat fairly.
I knew we would never get any useful information about Crooks or about any co-conspirators. Why? Because it was more than likely the CIA who set this up. No doubt it was they who recruited Crooks in the first place, cleared the way for him, and when he failed scrubbed the evidence. It's in their manual, for crying out loud; always use a proxy when at all possible, especially when taking action against a public official.
We've seen this repeatedly over the years, going back to the Kennedy assassination and ever since. A "lone, crazed gunman" who is either killed or locked away and never heard from again. No effort to find who that person is working with.
Clearly someone cleared the field for Crooks; otherwise the Secret Service and others tasked with protecting the President did not just drop the ball but spectacularly so. Any fool would have known to secure that rooftop overlooking the President. It's not rocket science.
Cooks was walking around before going up into the building with a long rifle slung over his shoulder. Why was he so confident?
And the building from which he shot was owned by a heavy Democrat donor.
No, this was a plot, and one run by a lot of very powerful people and they have scrubbed the evidence quite professionally.
You may need evidence to PROSECUTE anyone but you don't need any to believe the truth. Anyone who thinks this was what it was made to appear to be is a fool.
BTW I find it interesting Crooks was calling himself "Bob Dole" after the RINO former Senator and failed Presidential candidate. It suggests he had his allegiance with the Establishment wing of the GOP, who probably recruited him in the first place.
I warned they would try to assassinate Trump if it looked like he was going to retake power. They were desperate to get rid of him and get back to "business as usual". Sadly they have now gotten away with this and that means they will try it again, if not against Trump (whose retirement might be shorter than one would expect) then against another Republican who cannot be turned.

BTW by doing this Massey has just ended whatever chances he had at rehabilitating his career. He could have run for Governor or whatnot but now that's out; no Republican will touch such a vindictive man.

This is good news; not that the GOP will win this Senate seat in Navy Blue Minnesota but that the Democrats are going to have to waste a lot of resrouces dragging this DSA nutbag across the finish line.
Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, one of the true crazies from what our own Dana Mathewson tells me, is up under four points over Republican Michele Tafoya 48.2 to 44.4. A real squeeker. But of course the Democrats have been building a Chicago style machine and no doubt will use it so Flanagan should come out on top. Still, if the Democrats have to waste money dragging her across the finish line that will be less money to waste on Talarico down in burgundy Texas (and Texas is not deep red - it's pastel).

Another Massive Screw Job by the Judiciary Leaves Vote Fraud In Tact

I am thankful I had a busy day yesterday and did not have time to blog; I woas livid at this and would have probably going into atrial fibrillation.
His argument is that the USPS "overstepped their authority" by qualifying how mail-in ballots had to be posted.
How does that make any sense? The USPS did not set the rule - the Adminstration did, and they have as much authority to do this as they do to, say, set rules for applying for federal aid.
U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols of the District of Columbia ruled that the USPS has no role in elections. That sounds logical until you remember they are being asked to deliver massive amounts of mail-in ballots and they DO have a role in regulating how the mail is to be delivered - and to prevent mail fraud, which is what unregulated delivery of mail-in ballots is fostering.
The judge had this to snivel:
"Less than three weeks ago, the United States Postal Service adopted a Final Rule requiring that all absentee and mail-in ballots for federal elections—including for the elections occurring in less than sixty days—be transmitted only in envelopes satisfying new design requirements and be transmitted only to voters who are verified by the Postal Service to have been enrolled in a newly created ‘Federal Ballot Mail Portal,’” the judge’s 24-page opinion says. "As the government concedes, the Postal Service could issue (and enforce) the Rule only if Congress gave it the authority to do so, but here no statute grants the Postal Service the power to issue key parts of the rule.”
The opinion adds, "Plaintiffs have therefore demonstrated that they are likely to succeed on their claim that the issuance of the rule was ultra vires, and the record otherwise weighs in favor of preliminary injunctive relief.”
So what does the law ay?
18USC Chapter 63 1342. Fictitious name or addressWhoever, for the purpose of conducting, promoting, or carrying on by means of the Postal Service, any scheme or device mentioned in section 1341 of this title or any other unlawful business, uses or assumes, or requests to be addressed by, any fictitious, false, or assumed title, name, or address or name other than his own proper name, or takes or receives from any post office or authorized depository of mail matter, any letter, postal card, package, or other mail matter addressed to any such fictitious, false, or assumed title, name, or address, or name other than his own proper name, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
So it is clear the law directly addresses mail fraud of the kind being implemented as vote fraud. The USPS is trying to prevent that. I can't imagine how this judge could possibly rule it to be an over-reach when the law is clear in this instance. How do you catch vote fraud if you cannot put in place reasonable precautions to make it easier to detect?
What makes this worse is SCOTUS refused to hear the appeal for this. Brett Kavanaugh signed the ruling in which he admitted the USPS probably has the authority but that there is not sufficient time to implement it - even though they've been implementing it for many months now except where the courts have stopped them. So Kavanaugh is going to let another election be stolen so as not to appear to be partisan.
Let us actually remember what this is all about. During the Pandemic the Democratic-controlled states implemented mail-in voting, ostensibly because they wanted to keep peole away from the polls and thus not transmit Covid 19. Mail-in voting is something no nation does because it is not secure and subject to fraud. Former President Jimmy Carter and former Republican Senator James Baker co-chaired a commission on elections after the photo-finish in 2000, and they heartily recommended against mail-in ballots. America alway had absentee ballots which were transmitted in the mail, but they were not mail-in ballots so much; there were strict rules on who received them and on how they were processed. There were controls in place.
So along comes Covid and the Democrats had a golden opportunity. They implemented mail-in voting and won big - everywhere. Joe Biden, who did not even campaign, won by the biggest landslide in history, even though Donald Trump won more votes in 2020 than any other candidate in history - Biden received comfortably more ballots. Something was amiss and statisticians like William Briggs looked into it and said there was no way the elections were fair.
No investigation was run in any blue state and anyone who challenged the results was called an election denier and was mocked and ridiculed and blackballed.We were told this was the cleanest, fairest election in history.
Trump's re-election opened the gate on the firewall and it turned out there were all sorts of little irregularities in that election. But the biggest one was the mail-in voting; there was no control, nobody had any idea who actually voted in that election.
So Trump pushed the USPS to regulate the mail-in ballots since the U.S. Senate simply refused to take up the SAVE America Act for some baffling reason. All Trump was asking was for the USPS to maintain a database that checked names on mail-in ballots with voter rolls to make sure there was no fraud, and to have official documentation on any ballots sent out - they had to be stamped properly to prove they were being sent out by the secretary of state's offices and not some partisan third party.
That was too much for these democrat judges, who issued injunctions. And SCOTUS refused to act to rein these lower courts in because they don't want to be thought to be interfering with an election.
Now, there is no reason why mail-in ballots cannot be sent out by UPS or Fedex if they are really that important and the USPS rules are so onerous. It probably wouldn't cost much more either. BUT the rules that apply to USPS also apply to other parcel delivery companies and they are going to be more diligent in verifying there is no fraud going on. The Democrassholes know that; they've long had de-facto control of the USPS, that being one of their traditional power bases.
So Brett Kavanaugh, who owes his position to President Trump, is too cowardly to stop another election cycle fraud. And so too is this judge Nichols, which should be his salary and not his name.
This is amazing because I have no doubt that had Obama or Biden issues such a rule the courts would have deferred to him as the head of the executive banch of government.
Remember, the USPS is not a government agency under the authority of Congress but rather is a quasi-private corporation wholly owned by the United States and as such Congress has different regulatory powers than it does over, say, the Department of Energy. Trump has more direct control over it.
Then there is this:
On December 20, 2006, President Bush signed into law the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act
(PAEA) of 2006, making the most sweeping changes to postal law since the PRA. That law required the
Postal Service to accelerate the prefunding of 100 percent of our expected retiree health benefits
obligations, imposed a rigid price cap on most services for at least 10 years, and prohibited us from
offering new products and services beyond core shipping and mailing services.

Isn't asking the USPS to deliver millions of mail-in ballots a violation of this law? We are asking them to essentially be a polling place, clearly mission creep.
There is zero reason why the USPS should be dealing with anything other than very restricted absentee ballots. The rest is "offering new products and services beyond core shipping and mailing services".
This is NOT impinging on how states run their election schemes - it is merely setting qualifications for the delivery of mail. These states are free to run their elections as they see fit, but not with the forced assistance of the USPS, that's all. If they want to send out ballots they can do so by sending them Fedex or they can use easy pick up stations and drop-boxes, which many of them have in the past. How much easier do they need to make it? At what point do we stop does it move from facilitating to manipulating? Voting should not be that easy; people so lazy they won't go out to vote are people with no idea or understanding of the issues anyway and have no business voting.
So a pox upon these textualist Republicans who can't understand the purpose of the law nor even know it, apparently. If I can find this, being a non-lawyer, why can't they?
BTW Scotusblog says Thomas and Alito dissented, saying this injunction should never have been issued because the League of Women Voters, who brought the case, lacked standing.
BTW Trump signed the EO in March of this year, so there is no excuse for this being overturned so late in the election cycle, none whatsoever. This only sows chaos, which is exactly what the Democrats wanted. Trump, of course, was furious and rightly so.

French pastry chef, er, President Macron has dropped to the lowest popularity I've ever seen at just 16%, falling well below Osama Bin Laden's in all llikelihood.
In the Mel Gibson movie "We Were Soldiers" Gibson's character (playing real life then Lieutenant Colonel Hal Moore who was fighting in the "Valley of Death" aka the Battle of Drang at the start of the Vietnam War) was recruiting a pilot. He asked the man about his unusual nickname "snakeshit" and the young officer replied "that's because I fly lower than snakeshit". Politically Macron is lower than snakeshit.
I can't see how he could not dissolve his government and call for new elections. But, being an internationalist and Leftist he no doubt will not.
Macron has already nearly destroyed France, with no-go zones full of Muslims and the beautiful city of Paris now looking like Beirut back in the eighties in parts. Yet still he and his ilk cling to the notion that more immigrants will solve all their problems when it is the mass immigration that is destroying France in the first place.
Well Au Revoir France! You put up with these internationalists for decades now, and largely to screw America, which you never did consider anything but an upstart who owed our country to you. Charles De Gaulle started that after the war when he was rresentful of being told what to do by the Americans, and he made that the policy of the French Republic thereafter - to screw the Americans over at every turn. It was THEY who conceived the Coal and Steel entente' which metastasized into the European Union. It was he who promoted policies that triangulated between the U.S. and the Soviets. And it is his successors who imported millions of Muslims to work so the native born could laze about with their 32 hour workday and slurp their wine and eat their smelly cheeses and enjoy their lives under the umbella of American protection. They didn't need much of an army; they had their Foreign Legion to do the hard military stuff while they enjoyed their crusty bread and practice their wee weeing.
But now the consequences are coming back to them and the French People don't like it at all. But the elites still believe in this, still think they can forever kick the can down the road. They aren't half as clever as they think they are.
I hope France wakes up and kicks this jerk and all of his Mini-Macrons out of office and soon.

GOP MAGA Governor Candidate Almost Dies in Plane Crash

Republican Gubernatorial candidate in Wisconsin Tom Tiffany has disappeared along with his pilot after his plane crashed into a lake and there is a desperate search to recover him - or his body.
Fortunately the two men turned up after enjoying a brisk swim in Lake Wasau.
My question is, who tampered with their engine? I find it a very odd coincidence that this happened just two months from election day. As we know the Left has grown increasingly desperate, taking shots at Mr. Trump and trying to hurt other Republicans, I rather doubt they wouldn't try to do it to other Republicans.
Tiffany was an oil company executive before going into politics. He was petroleum distribution manager for Zenker Oil Company. He also owned a river excursion company.
Tiffany has been a membe of the Freedom Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives. He's as MAGA Conservative as it gets.
Current polling shows a neck-in-neck race between Tiffany and his opponent, David "The Beast Aleister" Crowley, who leads by 0.4%, meaning it's a statistical tie.
So it is very odd indeed that Tiffany should meet with such a close call at this time, is it not? I do not believe there are any coincidences in politics. And such coincidences as this almost always favor the Democrats.
This stinks to high heaven.

But this is the exact right strategy for Zelensky and Ukraine in this war.
There is no difference between Ukraine striking Russian gasoline and diesel facilities and the American attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure. Both have the goal of bankrupting the belligerent.
As long as Russian forces are operating inside of Ukrainian territory the Ukrainians are fighting a losing game. They need to take the fight to Russia itself. And the tenderest part of Putin is his wallet.
At tehe same time Zelensky has been desperately trying to get the West and particularly the U.S. into the game and this upends much of Trump's strategic efforts by driving the price of diesel way up - just before an election. The Ukrainians supported Hillary Clinton in '16 and no doubt they would love to put Democrats back in power so they would simply go over Trump's head and send a lot more aid.All along the whole West has been feeding an elephant with an eyedropper, not giving the Ukraine what it needs to win but just enough to stay competitive. If the price of EVERYTHING goes up worldwide, and it will because diesel is what powers trucks, the world may take notice. Now the Russo-Ukrainian war is old news and not getting many headlines. Zelensky needs to change that.
Causing global inflation may well change that.
It's a race against time for these two countries; who is going to be unable to continue first? Time is on Russia's side but it's going to cost them dearly. Time will run out for the Ukrraine first, even though they have more natural resources per square mile. Russia just has so many more square miles - and people.
So going after Russian energy is the only logical move for the Ukrainians and to be piqued over it is pointless and silly. Trump's a realist; he had to know this would happen.
I suspect he did; he just wants the Ukraine to play nice until the election is over. I suspect he has probably promised them things for after the election, but the Ukrainians aren't going to wait because they really can't. As I pointed out, they are now flying old fashioned open air planes and shooting at drones with pistols. That means they are nearing the end.
Right now Zelensky has leverage and that leverage is Russian energy. He would be a fool not to use it.
