When they can continually and deliberately lie at this psychopathic level, we're in a lot of trouble. This is what serious evil looks like. Not her as much as what the entire machine is doing, which is erasing history as it happens.

Tim adds:
Increasingly these people remind me of Iraq's Information Minister, Mohammed Said al-Sahhaf aka "Baghdad Bob" during the Gulf War. You remember, the guy who told journalists "we have pushed the Americans out of beyond the Iraqi borders" as machine guns could be heard firing just blocks away. He was rightly mocked for being completely cut off from reality. How is Jean Pierre any different?
We should start calling her "Baghdad Karine".

As a teacher of ancient philosophy and philosophy of art, the apologetics by the Paris Olympics that arranging their performers along the composition of Da Vinci's "Last Supper" is actually a homage to "Bacchal Banquet" is such a weak rationalization that grasp at straws. Aside from the arrangement being evocative of the more popular Last Supper of Jesus, which I think is what triggers people, I have to point out that the choices are nowhere near other Bacchial-themed paintings like that of Caravaggio, Titian, or Velázquez. Heck, the blue choice for Bacchus is weird because he is usually dark-skinned in the ancient Greek imagination, and the usual iconography of gods with blue complexions is usually evocative of Dharmic traditions that portray Rama or Krishna to represent their tranquil disposition. As such, the apologetics feel like a poorly thought-out PR statement that people with little knowledge of art and ancient Greco-Roman history might accept uncritically.
Moreover, this interpretation is odd because Bacchus, the Latin version of Dionysus, was never celebrated in the Ancient Olympics. The Olympic festival was an event that celebrated physical excellence and the rational control of the body's energy. As the name "Olympics" suggests, it honored Zeus, the god of Olympus, and in some sources, his son Heracles, known for his physical excellence during his twelve labors.
In contrast, Dionysus is the god of harvest, intoxication, and ecstasy. His celebrations were so rambunctious that even pagans reported other pagans celebrating them secretly outside the city walls and in the shadows of the forest because they were too scandalous for the conservative Romans. Bacchus is the mad and raging one and the only physical feat he is known for is how he tears animals and even people into pieces for amusement, only to resurrect them and repeat the process. His thiasus of maenads were infamous for their orgies of dismemberment and feasting on raw meat, which horrified even other pagan contemporaries.
Bacchus is such an awkward choice, especially when you look at how he was never mentioned in the official website of the Olympics' myth: https://olympics.com/ioc/ancient-olympic-games/mythology. Heck, the list they provided is what I expected would be the pagans gods they could have made homage to: Apollo, the god of health and archery; Hera, the goddess of oaths and monogamous marriage; Athena, the goddess of wisdom and controlled spiritedness; and Zeus, the protector of the family.
Unless, of course, the intention is to communicate that the gay and trans community embodies these irrational, uncontrollable traits of tearing up animals and people for amusement, which would be a bizarre and disturbing message to be proud of, especially in the context of the Olympics.

Go woke, go broke.
This week, Toyota announced that it will end its massive sponsorship deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Toyota, Samsung, HomeDepot, Bridgestone, Panasonic and 4 other companies withdrew their sponsorships of the games after the controversial opening ceremony.
Toyota’s decision comes amidst concerns about how the sponsorship money was utilized by the IOC. Toyota’s contract, valued at $835 million, covered four Olympic Games starting from the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics through to the upcoming Paris Games.

We are free today substantially, but the day will come when our Republic will be an impossibility. It will be an impossibility because wealth will be concentrated in the hands of a few. A Republic cannot stand upon bayonets, and when the day comes when the wealth of the nation will be in the hands of a few, then we must rely upon the wisdom of the best elements in the country to readjust the laws of the nations to the changed conditions.

This should be the #1 issue for both candidates.
We are trapped. If debt is increasing faster than growth, it means that without debt growth it would be a depression now.
Since no politician will touch entitlements or has the political will to reduce spending, the only option is either tax more or throttle inflation.
2024 deficit is projected to be $1.6T, ~5.6% of GDP.
Gov spend (G) is a component of GDP:
GDP=C+I+G+(X−M)
Reducing gov spend will directly reduce GDP the same amount
2024 GDP is projected to grow 2.4%. Without deficit spend, GDP is -3.2%, a deep recession.
Since January 2020 the debt has ballooned by 50% from $23 trillion to $35 trillion.
Interest on the debt is also skyrocketed with higher rates, averaging around 5% lately.
76% of all tax revenue the government collects is going g to pay the debt.
We cannot afford to support the whims and corruption of the political class.

So the newest trick of the Democrats and media is to call us "weird". Really?
Now these are the people who cannot define a woman, and tell us men menstruate and should have tampon machines in men's locker rooms. They are the ones who tell us there are 72 "genders". These are the people who tell us socialism works well and we should all have it despite all evidence to the contrary. These are the people who believe adding one molecule of carbon dioxide to every ten thousand molecules of air is going to kill us all in a horrible holocaust of acid and fire. These are the people who normalize things like men dressing as babies and fouling their pants, or having sex with the dead or with animals. These are the folks who have publicly called for the near extinction of humanity to "save the planet".These are the people who think 110 pound women are going to beat up 240 pound men and should be playing in the NFL and fighting in the WBA. These are the people who think Hillary Clinton is cool. These are the people who think two dudes engaged in anal sex is the same as a husband and wife creating life. These are the folks who think abortion should be legal until well after the child is born, or at least as long as the head is still inside the mother. These are the people who think crime is caused by too many guns and the solution is to stop enforcing the law.
Who are the weirdos?

Under the gross abuse of the 14th Amendment, Russian women come to the United States to have their babies so that the kids can have dual citizenship — Russian and American.
Was this the REAL intent of the 14th Amendment ?
It does not require a Constitutional Amendment to fix this problem. Just the proper case brought before the Supreme Court which now thankfully looks to the original intent.

The preparations for another massive steal are going on as we speak.
*Replace Biden so you can pretend that all the negatives were about him.
*Massive media campaign to pretend Harris is popular and everyone is instantly turned Democrat by her magical presence.
*Memory hole all true records of her areas of responsibility and her gross incompetence and unpopularity.
*Seed false polling data that suggests the race is a lot closer now.
* Get shills to release articles analysing how Trump is going to lose and that Harris is on for a victory.
*Commit massive electoral fraud.
* Explanations for the surprise ‘win’ are then all lined up:
Everyone loves Harris
Trump is doing the same thing as 2020 and ‘opposing Democracy’
Look at these clever fellows who predicted this in these articles that said Trump would lose
Look at the polling that predicted this
There was no fraud, just like there was no fraud in 2020.
It was safer for them to imprison or kill him, so they tried that. That failed, so it’s back to massive, massive fraud and repeating 2020. But the beauty there is that if they do exactly what they did with the first steal, they can just say that anyone noticing this one is doing what they did in 2020.
It’s like punching you in the face twice and laughing ‘you said I punched you last time and it wasn’t true’.
Understand that articles analysing how Kamala has turned it around and talking about keys to victory that Trump doesn’t have are purely about psychologically prepping you to accept another steal.
Because a steal is their only route to a win.

Why are there so many "conspiracy theories" about the Trump assassination attempt?
Because the authorities are not answering basic questions.
Everybody knows it was at least unprecedented, massive negligence. There are no national security secrets that must be guarded. The "criminal" is dead and there won't be a trial.
Therefore there should be daily press briefings answering all questions the press can think of. The only logical conclusion is a coverup.
Why a coverup? It has to be more than just embarrassment. Too many things did not go right from a security POV to be coincidental or just plain negligence.
Tim adds:
Exactly. There are so many bits and pieces of information coming to light, and most are true or are reported by credible sources, and yet the government isn't talking nor is the media asking. That suggests a cover-up.
Why cover this up? Why haven't people been fired? Yes, the soda queen quit, but she did so to avoid being called back to testify before the House.
There is something very foul afoot, no question.
And given the animus against Donald Trump, from the FBI promoting the "Russian collusion" hoax through the Hunter Biden Laptop story being suppressed by national security when they knew it was legitimate (and possibly costing Trump the last election), to the two impeachments and subsequent four major criminal cases against Mr. Trump, who was surprised that there was an assassination attempt? And given the people who have often done this sort of thing outside the country have been leading the lynch mob all along, we have every reason to suspect this was an inside job by those who were supposed to protect Mr. Trump. I predicted an assassination attempt around July over a year ago.
All this could be stopped with some candor from the DOJ and the FBI. Their silence speaks volumes.

In most discussions about EV's we hear plenty about the cost of electricity v. gasoline, and how EV's only cost a little more to purchase but are cheaper to run. I would prefer that they look at the total cost of ownership, which includes operating and maintenance costs. When I'm looking at buying a car, I want to know what it is going to cost me to keep it.
For example, my Camry Hybrid is 17 years old. The traction (drive) battery failed at round 126,000 miles. I was able to purchase the individual cells for the battery and rebuilt the battery myself at minimum cost (around $270). However, if I didn't have those skills, it would have cost around $4,500 to replace the battery or around $1,500 for a refurbished battery with a warranty. My Land Rover is 21 years old and still running strong. It has been a very reliable vehicle, requiring only periodic maintenance.
Now, let's look at a Tesla Model 3 (not the long distance version). The battery warranty is eight years. The trigger for warranty replacement is a 30% loss of capacity. If the car is routinely charged on a high capacity charger, battery lifespan will be shorter. The cost of replacing the battery out of warranty is around $20,000. The resale value of any EV that is more than a few years old drops like a lead brick.
If my Camry and LR were EV's, they would be end of life and facing very high expenses if I wanted to keep them on the road. Though, that is not the case with my Camry and LR. I'm not facing a major expense to keep them.

Selective studies of parts of West Antarctica known for it's subsea volcanoes and fissures, are often used to demonstrate a false claim that Antarctica is warming. The fact is:
Antarctica Is Colder, Icier Now Than Any Time In 5000 Years. The Last Warm Period Was 1000 Years Ago.
This is supported by recent peer reviewed research papers a couple of which are summarised below.
Antarctica has undergone rapid glacier and sea ice expansion in recent centuries, in line with the long-term and recent Antarctic cooling trend.
West Antarctica’s mean annual surface temperatures cooled by more than -1.8°C (-0.93°C per decade) from 1999-2018 (Zhang et al., 2023). https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/bams/104/6/BAMS-D-22-0153.1.xml
See the 20 year running average of Antarctica surface air temperature SAT graph below.
Read more on - Significant West Antarctic Cooling in the Past Two Decades Driven by Tropical Pacific Forcing. Here - https://journals.ametsoc.org/configurable/content/journals$002fbams$002f104$002f6$002fBAMS-D-22-0153.1.xml?t:ac=journals%24002fbams%24002f104%24002f6%24002fBAMS-D-22-0153.1.xml
This cooling is not just in West Antarctica, but most of the continent also has cooled by more than 1°C in the 21st century.
See, for example, the ~1°C per decade cooling trend for East Antarctica (2000 to 2018) shown in map of Antarctica below.
Furthermore, according to a new study, about 6000 years ago Antarctica’s Collins Glacier’s frontline was a full 1 km southwest of its current extent. See https://www.nature.com/articles/s43247-024-01245-6
The frontline advanced to today’s extent ~5000 years ago.
"Previous studies proposed that 6000 yr BP, the frontline position of the Collins Glacier was located 1 km further south west than the present, and that the current frontline was first attained at approximately 5000 yr BP.”
The glacier then continuously retreated south of the modern extent for another 4000 years, with peak ice loss 1000 years ago.
In the last 1000 years this glacier has rapidly re-advanced back to the glaciated extent from 5000 years ago, which is in line with the sustained cooling trend ongoing since the Medieval Warm Period.
Note: Most of the above is plagiarised from a much more extensive report by Kenneth Richard here: https://notrickszone.com/2024/04/15/antarctica-is-colder-icier-now-than-any-time-in-5000-years-the-last-warm-period-was-1000-years-ago/
Tim adds:
That is entirely correct; Antarctica is cooling all over, not hot and melting.
A point to ponder:
East Antarctica is a true ice cap, towering way above the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, which floats on water. The East sits on land. This is important to understand because the West sheet is more easily moved into the water.
So, if the mass of the East cap increases (as it has been doing steadily) it puts pressure on the Western ice sheet, forcing it out further from land. The end result is calving of the ice - and we wind up having shelf collapses.
It's rather like a woman's long fingernail. Women are always breaking their nails because they are so long and not supported by anything. The same holds true of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, which is floating on water - often over volcanoes. The heavier the Eastern sheet grows the more pressure there is on the Western.
Those undersea volcanoes warm and lubricate the bottoms of the ice sheet, making them move better and thus making shelf collapse more likely.
It has nothing to do with air temperature, which is generally well below zero degrees F, not just zero degrees C.
It further has nothing to do with "warming oceans" as the Antarctic is surrounded by the Antarctic circumpolar current, a very cold and very deep and very wide ocean current that blocks warm water from entering inside the Antarctic Convergence. It's a kind of border fence for illegal water aliens. Beyond it the waters are very cold and would freeze if not so saline. It doesn't matter how warm water coming from the north is; it never reaches the continent.
So, no actual net loss of ice, no warming, no warming water around the continent. What is being peddled to us are lies, or near enough - lies by omission.

So why isn't the media calling this an insurrection?
Oh....because they are LEFT WING protesters!
FTA:
A large group of pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli protesters took over the Cannon Rotunda on Capitol Hill on Tuesday. The protest against the Israeli government comes just one day before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to give an address to a joint session of Congress.
A video of Tuesday afternoon’s protest shows a large crowd of protesters in red shirts sitting in a circle in the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building on Capitol Hill.
According to Fox News, the pro-Palestinian protesters had statements written on their red shirts, which read, "Stop Arming Israel” and "Not in Our Name.”

New York HAg, er, AG, Letitia James, has filed a brief asking SCOTUS to dismiss the suit filed by Missouri's Andrew Bailey to force the delay of sentencing for President Trump and to lift the gag order.
Bailey, the Missouri Attorney General (AG) filed in court because Missouri voters are being disenfranchised by New York. Trump cannot make his arguments to the public without falling afoul of the partisan hack judge in his case. And sentencing Trump before the election is nothing but an attempt to suppress votes for the former President.
New York's High Attorney General (HAG) campaigned on the promise she would "get Trump".
There is no way in knowing how the SCOTUS will jump on this. John Roberts could go either way. So too could Amy Coney Barret and Brett kavanagh.
Judge Merchan, who has run this proceeding more like Judge Roy Bean than like a serious jurist and who repeatedly denied Mr. Trump basic rights to defend himself properly, could vacate the conviction but I wouldn't hold my breath.

The simple reason why the addition of new wind turbines, or new solar panels will increase the overall cost of electricity to the consumer -
The amount of power the extra wind turbines, or extra solar panels can be guaranteed to produce at too many points in time, is nowhere near the average amount of power they will produce. In fact at some points in time, the amount of power these renewable energy sources will produce is zero.
So for all the times these
renewable energy sources are not producing even just their average
output, or no output at all, we need to have ON-CALL electrical power
to make up the shortfall.
This might include on-call gas or nuclear powered generators, or forms of stored energy including extremely expensive pumped hydro, or batteries, or even connections to other electricity grids which will charge a premium for the urgently required, unplanned energy requirements. All these options need to be paid for, maintained and have personnel on hand.
This means that the alternative sources of power required to make up the guaranteed shortfalls in renewable energy will add significant costs to these supposedly cheap renewable energy options.
In this video Tony Heller demonstrates the dramatic variability of wind farm electricity production in the UK.
