Kevin Warsh, a Keynsian "inflation hawk" just pushed through an interest rate hike, leading American Thinker to speculate that Warsh will be a thorn in Trump's side, a point you may remember I made when the Orange Peril nominated him in the first place.

Warsh, by raising interest rates, just killed home sales. Nobody is going to be able to afford big loans when they are paying less.

That is the trouble with Keynsian economics; it assumes government always knows what is best if they hire "experts" and that they can manipulate us all to wealth and prosperity and happiness. But government does not produce anything and any actions they take have consequences, often unseen, that restrict and repress.

These guys aren't half as smart as they think they are. Warsh believes in what every Fed chair and almost every Fed board member has always believed; that the economy is best run by people like themselves. You can't make the economy work by manipulating it in this way. The economy roars when it is unleashed.

As the author points out Warsh just raised interest rates before an election and this is leading to the stock market tanking. Coincidence? I suspect Warsh is just another D.C. Insider who is purposely undercutting Trump.

Trump has got to learn to appoint better people. There are dozens of guys who have the skills to do that job. No reason to get a guy like this.

And now the die are cast and this guy can't be removed.

So the Nicholas Biddle policy at the Federal Reserve continues and there isn't anything we can do about it.

I was feeling pretty good about the upcoming elections but not anymore. Between this and the Supreme Court not letting the Post Office screen mail-in ballots and I now think we are in big trouble. The Empire has struck back.
