I've long argued mainstream media types are batcrap crazy and this proves it!
Yes, this former news anchor in St. Louis really did murder her sleeping mother.
Angelynn E. Mock was arrested in Wichita on charges of murdering her mother, with whom she lived. She had worked as an anchor in St. Louis but was let go because of alcohol abuse. She apparently suffered from schizophrenia.
Mock was formerly an anchor at KTVI Fox2 News.
While she is mentally ill police found everything laid out to perpetrate the murder so she was charged and convicted. She is scheduled for sentencing.
I wonder how many other crazies inhabit our airways?

Newsom signed the Stop Nick Shirley Act despite its brazen lack of Constitutionality.
It's all about waiting until the next election. Get through that and hopefully there will be a different climate that will allow Democrats to brazenly violate the law. Newsom has no idea of what to do to keep the lid on the corruption in California, but he's got to put it on the back burner. Come '28 he hopes a Democrat will be in the White House and it will be back to business as usual.
I cannot stress enough the importance of the next few election cycles.

Carney (Unofficially) Declares War on U.S.

The mouse that roared? More like the mouse that squeaked pathetically.
What a pompous jackass!
They've been attacking US for decades with unfair trade practices, knowing our milquetoast leadership would never retaliate. Well, Mr. Trump has many bad qualities but one he does NOT have is milquetoast leadership.
So what is Carney going to do? I am mindful of an episode of the Simpsons where Abu, the Quickee Mart owner, tells Homer to stop drinking slurpees straight from the tap "I have asked you nicely to stop. Now I have no choice but to ask you nicely again".
After whining like a little b, er, girl Carney made this terrifying threat:
The Canadian PM, who previously served as a central banker, declared that retaliatory tariffs on the US will go into effect on Sept. 8. He said Canada will match the US "dollar for dollar.”
The economy of the United States is ten times as large as Canada's. It will be fun to see Carney try this; his economy will collapse.
Canada's economy is inextricably linked to the American. In 2025 Canada exported US$408.99 Billion to the U.S. Imagine if they lost all of that trade! Canada imports $262 billion from the U.S. so a trade will is something Canada is going to be hard-pressed to survive.
If Carney wants to go to war somewhere maybe he should help us in Iran. But war fever against the U.S. is silly and will cost the Canadians dearly.
Carney is up for re-election and the Conservative Party candidate is down 12 percentage points as of this month, so he probably need not fear losing his seat, but it's an election year so he needs a boogieman just in case. Orange Man is the best scary bedtime story he can tell since most Canadians take pride in one thing - they aren't Americans. Otherwise their country has little to brag about. They chose July 1 as Canada Day to coincide with our July 4 Independence day, for instance. Their national anthem was chosen by committee, as was their flag. Nothing there to point to, unlike ours which were born in fire and war.
So hating on America is Canada's big pastime. And that is what Carney hopes to exploit. But he's going to find hard words are no substitute for financial pressure. He's got a lot to lose.

Iran is Cracking

In my best Frank Sinatra voice "and now...the end is near...time to face...the final curtain."
From the New York Post:
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that mounting economic pressure on Tehran is taking its toll, while cautioning against "humiliatingly” backing down "before the enemy.”
"The war must come to an end at some point,” Pezeshkian said in a speech Friday, per state media. "It is better that we demonstrate our strength and dignity today and tell the world that we have won and that we are ending the war.”
That "telling the world they have won" will necessitate surrender in all by name only and they know it. But what choice do they have?
Trump is squeezing the life out of them. And it's about to get much worse.
We can't trust any deal they make, of course, and they will immediately begin trying to cheat on any promises made. But not only should we not let them completely off the hook (we should keep a lot of sanctions in place and only remove them after compliance) but we should start working to remove the government and replace it with a truly pluralistic one. The only way to stop Iran from causing trouble is regime change. We need to help the Iranian People get rid of the Mullahs.
But that can be for later; now we need to get them to agree to the terms we have set down - get rid of all nuclear material and allow inspections of facilities, open the strait of Hormuz, and stop funding terrorists abroad. Force them to agree to those and set up mechanisms for compliance and then make them stick to it while we undermine their authority and power.
Anyway the article states:
"I was in the presence of the Supreme Leader, and in his speeches as well, he openly stated that we must move beyond this state of ‘neither war nor peace,'” Pezeshkian claimed, per a translation referring to Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, who hasn’t been seen publicly since the war in Iran began.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the crux of the brilliance of Trump's policies. Iran sponsors Jihad, holy war. How do you fight a holy war when the enemy isn't fighting you, but rather is squeezing your economy? Increasingly the enemy appears not as the Great Satan but their own leaders who are impoverishing and starving their own country in a fruitless, willful struggle against an enemy who won't fight you directly. To people who think as do the Shiite Muslims in the IRGC it's maddening. They can't Djin up anger against America and they can't win this fight. That is why they kept lobbing missiles as other Middle Eastern countries, to try to get those countries to turn on America in the interest of being left alone. That would force the U.S. ultimately to put boots on the ground.
It didn't work because Trump isn't Joe Biden or Barack Obama. He's not even George w. Bush. He knows how to use leverage in ways that hurt.
"No matter how much military power we have, if people are hungry and we do not have financial circulation and economic growth, we will not endure,” Ghalibaf said, per Iranian sate media. "As someone who has experienced war, I understand the true value of peace.”
Most modern wars are won or lost based on economics, not military might. Yes, a strong nation can maybe invade and overrun a weak one (look at the U.S. in Iraq) but why lose all those troops and then get stuck governing a hostile territory? You can crush them far more effectively with economic pressure. It's how WWI ended.
Iran counted on oil. They believed if they closed the Strait of Hormuz, where a quarter of the world's oil moved, they could win any struggle based on economics. They called Trump's bluff, and this has led to new routes for oil transport being developed. Pipelines to bypass the Strait (and the entrance to the Red Sea). Of course the U.S. is lousy with oil and we took over oil from Venezuela, another top producer. The U.S. is now King Arab.
So their leverage is gone and they won't be able to project power any longer. They are waiting too long to cut a deal, but they fear they must drag their feet because otherwise the public will get uppity if they sense weakness. Also they hope the Democrats will win the midterm elections and end the war by imposing the War Powers Act. But it increasingly appears the GOP may win the midterms and that hope is fading.
If they want to cling to power they have to cut a deal. Every day they delay makes it worse.
That's why Trump is increasing the pressure now, just in case. It would be nice to bring the troops home, or at least some of them, before the election, but the fact remains that the public isn't angry at Trump for Iran, even if polling suggests they aren't thrilled with it. You know how I know? I did a web search and couldn't find any recent polling data on it - most data go back to May or June. That tells me they aren't reporting good news (from our perspective). The public didn't much like it back then. If that were true now the wen crawlers would be all over it. They aren't.
If Trump gets a solid deal now and starts demobilizing we'll win just that much more in the elections.
That in no way suggests anyone should stay home come November; we are facing a momentous election and if we screw this up it's curtains for America and I mean that literally. This was and remains our big chance to restore sanity to this country.
But it's looking good.
In another NY Post article we learn traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is up 400 percent as the Iranians no longer have the ability to stop shipping.
They are on the run.

Don't Hold Your Breath: Fauci Isn't Going to Prison (at Least Not for Long)

Can Fauci be prosecuted for his actions after the autopen pardon? This retired doctor believes so.
His case rests on the theory that Fauci has been part of an ongoing conspiracy and acts after the date of the pardon are now new legal offenses.
He particularly points to Fauci giving an interview in which he continued to insist the Clot Shot was safe and effective.
I'm no lawyer nor doctor, and while I like to fantasize about this, I see no way Fauci is going to be charged with a crime over this, not in this way. You'll never get a jury to convict him; we still have Freedom of Speech in America and that means you have the freedom to lie, as long as it's not under oath.
It is that last that puts Fauci under jeopardy and that's why the Fauc took the Fifth Amendment this last visit to Congress. He dared not perjure himself and he dared not tell the truth.
But he did get referred to the DOJ for Contempt of Congress for that, and rightly so; as the recipient of a pardon Fauci does not have Fifth Amendment rights - he waived them when he accepted the pardon. Or so I've been led to believe.
But no, Fauci is probably going to walk. At worst he'll get a few months in prison then a book deal and maybe a show on MSNOW will be there for him when he gets out.

Fraud and Coverup

The smoking gun on vote fraud/interference by California Democrats.
California Attorney General Rob (as in steal) Bonta stuck his nose into a proper investigation into vote fraud, one that was green-lighted by court orders, and has effectively killed it, not to be re-opened until after the next election.
There was a 45,896 ballot discrepancy in Riverside California over a proposition that would gerrymander the state's congressional districts. The local sheriff opened an investigation to get to the bottom of it, and now the state AG has killed said investigation.
He couldn't afford to let the vote fraud machine in CA be exposed.
Bonta's legal experience is in civil litigation, not criminal. His swift response and intervention is dubious in no small way.
The reality is that the Democrats have been pulling this for years and there has been no pushback from Republicans.
In 1984 a Republican activist and wealthy donor ran robocalls to black residents in Texas telling them the election date had changed. There was a lawsuit that ended with a consent decree; the GOP, among other things, agreed to never challenge any election fraud by Democrats nationwide. Immediately the Democrats began building a political machine, the kinds they had in major cities like Chicago or Boston or New Orleans. The GOP was powerless to stop it or even admit it was happening without violating that consent decree. The judge even retired but came out of retirement once a year to reauthorize it. Donald Trump finally ended it during his first term.
And now more and more fraud has been coming to light. That is why they were so desperate to keep Trump out of office in his first term, and why they destroyed so many lives with their lawfare prosecutions. They feared the jig was up.
The longer this goes the worse it will get. If the GOP holds Congress the floodgates are going to open over fraud. If they lose Congress the Administration will be mired in endless investigations and the Democrats may put the genie back in the bottle.
Everything hinges on November.

Attack of the Trannies Repelled - for Now

So why did the trannie movement run out of steam? This article in the Daily Signalultimately concludes they bit off more than they could chew.
Yes, they did go too far too fast, no question, but I thin the author misses the obvious; they are promoting an idea that is clearly at odds with reality, with Natural Law, and the public, having been fed a steady stream of lies for decades, finally said "enough!"
It's not any more complicated than than. It's the same reason Trump was elected in the first place; the nation went through a horrible spasm of liberalism under Obama and Biden and the public rebelled.
They are trying to tell us that men are women and women men - something patently absurd. May as well tell us we can be black if we want to be, or white if we want to be. May as well tell us the color green is really purple. May as well tell us the Moon is made of green cheese and expect us to believe it.
What we witnessed with the trans movement was a vast psychological experiment to see if people could be made to believe so vast and ridiculous a lie. Turns out many people can.
Just recently I was in an argument with an idiot on a climate page on Facebook and this dope (who believed heartily in Global Warming) told me "gender is more complicated than that" when I said they couldn't define what a woman is. I replied "it's that simple - a y chromosome and a penis make a man" to which he responded with the laughing emoji. Brilliant retort aside this fellow showed just how arrogant some people are; he is so stuck on his idea about "trust the science" and because some science establishment types say a man can be a woman he thinks agreeing against the evidence of his senses, against history, against logic and actual science makes him one of the enlightened. But the fact is he is a dupe, a buffoon who thinks he's smart when in fact he's completely vacuous.
Male and female are quite clear. Yes, there are occasions of biological mishaps aka hermaphrodism and yes, in those cases "gender" is selected (generally female because it's easier for medical science to go that way - the kid would have no penis to speak of, just a nub otherwise) but those cases are extremely rare. In nearly all cases the sex of the child is evident when the baby is born.
It has nothing to do with feelings and everything to do with basic biology.
Which is why we have the "furry" movement. If you can choose your sex by an act of will you can choose your species.
People tire of this madness; the average guy knows a woman when he sees one, and he doesn't care to worry about a chimera, a chick who winds up hung better than he is. SURPRISE! Women don't care to compete with men for their partners either.
The gay movement was easier because .there are a lot more gay people than trannies, and b.they would largely keep to themselves, and everyone was fine with that. But even they made some mistakes, like the pride parades and whatnot which overexposed (sometimes quite literally) their movement. That's why they wound up having to get gay marriage through an act of SCOUTUS rather than a law; that movement was also running out of steam.
At any rat ethe article touches on Christians and Muslims not getting on board the trannie train but fails to say why (calling both "natural allies"). The Bible and the Koran both explicitly forbid homosexuality and cross-dressing. In Christianity it is said to lead to damnation "neither homosexuals nor the effeminate shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven" but in Islam you get chucked off the roofs of skyscrapers and the like.
Unfortunately in both instances the Church failed to speak out against this, as they should have done. Souls are at stake in both.
Speaking out is not the unchristian thing to do; you are not personally attacking anyone but simply warning those who practice such things of the consequences. In fact the unchristian thing to do is to remain silent, or even celebrating it as you are not caring enough to save the souls of those who are perishing. You are smiling and patting them on the back and wishing them Godspeed to their eternal punishment.
So I blame the churches for the problem in the first place; they failed.
At any rate the trans movement was a bridge too far and now there is a backlash. They are on the retreat. But remember how Leftism always works; two steps forward, one step back. They will consolidate their gains and then try again later. They are indefatigable and will come back with this later, unless we start a counter-offensive and drive them back.
So don't believe this is going away any time soon. It will just ease up on demands for now. It's up to us to stop this.
After all, wee are the ones with both faith and science on our sides.

Iran Will Fall

The blockade of Iran is killing them, and even their top guys are admitting this will bring the regime down.

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that military strength alone could not ensure the Islamic Republic’s survival if people faced hunger and the economy failed to grow.
"No matter how much military power we have, if people are hungry and we don't have financial circulation, economic growth and domestic production, we will not endure,” Ghalibaf said during a meeting with Iranian and Iraqi business figures at Iran’s embassy in Baghdad on Thursday.
Iran needs to get Trump's big orange foot off their necks and they know it. If Trump doubles down they are dead meat.
We have stopped the sale of almost all Iranian oil, and they are at the point of shutting down wells. We have reduced the sale of Iranian gas, which the Turks used to buy but now have other sources. And the Treasury Department has waged economic war, finding and closing all of Iran's clandestine economic backchannels.
More than likely Iran will launch an all-out attack come October to embarrass Mr. Trump but if he's smart he will launch an attack in late September to pre-empt any attack by them. Their only hope at this point appears to be handing Congress to the Democrats.

Already on March 6, the tenth day of the war, he (Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent) got the UAE to shut down the Iranian offshore banking system in Dubai, freezing $350 billion in assets controlled by regime insiders and the IRGC.
Last week, someone drained the cryptocurrency wallets the regime had been using to collect billions of dollars in tolls from ships transiting the Iranian route through the Strait of Hormuz.
On Thursday, Bessent identified an Iranian money-laundering network in Turkey that was bringing hundreds of millions of dollars in cash on international flights to Hezb’allah in Lebanon. He named the couriers and their controllers. I don't think they will be flying internationally any time soon.
And the Administration has been squeezing the Chinese to keep them from tossing Iran a lifeline. At the same time he's extended an olive branch to North Korea to try to get them out of it. (Trump talked about the good relationship he has with little Kim and suggested a summit). A modern industrial economy cannot survive with nothing coming in from overseas - or going out.
I would add this keeps Iran from supplying drones and other equipment to Russia, thus pressuring Putin to reach a settlement.
People are going to start to starve in Iran soon, which is a great tragedy, but it is their own government that is causing it, not us. We have offered them a way out all along. Stop trying to make nukes and open the strait, that's all we asked. Quit trying to kill people in other countries. It's really not much to ask of them.
Their recalcitrance shows they are monsters and must be removed from power.
I am hoping Trump is quietly building a revolutionary network in Iran. That is what is needed now. The Contra solution.

Roberts Greenlights Ballroom

One has to wonder why they devoted so much time and energy and money to block Trump from building the ballroom in the first place. Once the old East Wing was torn down what did they expect him to do? Make a parking lot?
The Establishment and the Left want to erase Donald Trump completely and building a ballroom will always be a reminder to them that they couldn't stop him.
Anyway this was not a full order of the Court but an order from John Roberts, who said construction of the ballroom may proceed until there is a full review by the Court, which likely will rule in Trump's favor. If Roberts is issuing this it means at least he, the biggest swing vote on the Court, will probably allow the ballroom to be built.
So suck on that Nevertrumpers! He's going to build the ballroom and his name will be splashed all over it and everyone will remember him when they visit the White House. Tour guides will have to say his name and not accompanied by a spit.

Disgraceful! Woman Facing Three Years in Prison for Taking her Transitioning Son Away from the Perverts Who were Enabling HIm

It ain't kidnapping if it's your kid and he's under age. I don't care if he got a court order that said it was wrong for mom to try to stop him from cutting off his schnickle.
The kid was living with foster parents, apparently, while attempting to transition and had a court order against the mother.
Some things are beyond the authority of courts and this is one of them; a mother to an underage child has rights that supersede the courts. It is one thing is she is physically or psychologically abusive but trying to stop a child from permanently damaging their bodies or minds does not qualify. But that's what they have done; they made sex changes into a sacred cow, and it is considered abuse for parents to try to stop it. But it is abuse BY THE SYSTEM to encourage this in the first place.
If the kid wants to be a woman he should wait until he's a legal man.
Actually he has; he is now 21 and never did transition, thank goodness.
Somebody ought to bust this woman out of prison. We cannot have the law abusing people like this.
The infuriating part of this is that it was the Department of Justice who brought the charges - you know, Todd Blanche's office. With Trump in office and his hand-picked guy running the DOJ, one must wonder why these kinds of cases are still in motion. Yes, the charges were brought under Biden, but why hasn't Hegseth and company not gone back to court to get this dismissed? And why hasn't Trump offered a pardon?
This is morally wrong and it must not be allowed. President Trump needs to intervene personally in this case. Since these were Federal charges he can issue a pardon.
The people involved in this should be sacked by Hegseth. Hopefully they already have been.

The U.S. D.C. Circuit just declared undercover journalism is protected speech under the First Amendment.
The appellate court found in favor of James O'Keefe and Project Veritas over an undercover sting operation that they were sued for and which a lower court awarded damages to the stung party.

This is interesting as the state of California just passed it's Stop Nick Shirley Act, which outlawed this very kind of journalism.
No doubt this ruling will be appealed and may make it to the Supreme Court. If the Court rules with any logic at all this will put an end to the California law, not right away but after a while. I have little doubt Mr. Shirley and others are filing lawsuits against the Golden Shower State for this.
For a political movement that claims to believe in democracy they sure do hate free speech, don't they. And they hate being exposed.

Uncle Zohran's Merry Markets

If Whole Foods has trouble keeping salmonella out of their produce imagine how it's going to be in Mamdani's government-run stores.
If I were a shopper in New York I'd make sure everything I bought from there was pre-packaged.
Meat is susceptible to problems if the butchers are unsanitary in their practices. For instance, you don't cut chicken with your beef saw or vice versa (vice versa more as chicken is especially infectious.) You don't throw old meat into your hamburger grinder. But all of that will probably happen and Happy Zohran's Merry Market.
And who knows what you will get in the produce department.
Good thing most dairy is dated; at least the customer will know how old the stuff he's buying is, although he won't have a guarantee about how fresh it is since the milk or eggs might have been left in a hot stock room rather than refrigerated right after delivery.
These are all problems that are likely to happen in a store run by people undoubtedly hired by the city from the unemployment office.
I was a grocery store manager (well, co-manager, but I ran the store with the top guy) when I was younger and our company got bought out. The new owners hired a bunch of people through the unemployment office, and they were worse than useless. We kept them out of the departments where they could make people sick - like produce or dairy (meat cutters were outside of all this by union rules) but they still were terrible. The cashiers all stole. The stockers did little work and complained and had to be constantly supervised. We weeded them out over the course of months.
As I say, we dared not let them near any department with fresh food. (My store thankfully didn't have a deli.)
These Mamdani stores are going to be run by people who do not care, and the staff won't care. This is a poisoning waiting to happen.
BTW the changeover happened when I was called to jury duty and I wound up on a trial that lasted a solid month, so I missed the absolute worst of it. My poor boss had to face the disaster alone. My return probably saved the poor guy's life. It certainly saved a few years on my own by not being there at the very beginning. But it was one messed up operation until we thinned the herd and hired our own people. Within six months almost all of the people the corporation hired were gone - and thankfully so. I spent all my time doing damage control that first six months.
We got the store profitable again then the out-of-town company that bought it sold it to a local chain, and THEY came in and systematically began cleaning us out. I remained but it was clear I was being pushed to leave because the local chain had their own people who wanted our jobs. I quit shortly after my boss Herb was demoted to grocery manager in a store in Illinois - one of the physicall most demanding jobs in the business and herb was a man within a year of retirement - and within a few months my store closed. The entire chain is out of business now - bad management led to their collapse. It warms my heart.
At any rate these government stores are going to be monuments to socialist stupidity and will eventually be closed after losing the city massive amounts of money and making people sick. Mark my words.

In addition to being sea bird blenders offshore wind farms can also lead to drought in coastal areas as the turbines shift wind patterns and prevent rain clouds from moving over land before disgorging their contents aka it will rain out at sea and not on the land that needs it.

So puree'd birds and drought are what you get from those giant ridiculous pinwheels at sea. Oh, and hearing loss for people near them as well as migrant birds losing habitat because they screw up their tracking systems when they migrate.
I've long argued we need a radically different approach if we are to make wind power viable. Windmills are 17th century technology and never were viable for much except grinding grain into flour and running pumps to drain Dutch polders.
I envision something that works like a magnetohydrodynamic generator. use magnetized iron filings to blow past a copper coil, inducing current flow. MHD systems do this by blowing plasma past the coil extremely fast, in essentially a rocket jet blast of plasma. High energy stuff. But perhaps a simpler, less energetic system could be created using aerosolized metal and a metal coil inside, say, a giant wind sock? You'd have to figure out a way to get the wind to return the fillings back to their point of origin to start the process over without using any of the energy collected, of course.
While it's doubtful that would produce enough energy, I'm just musing here. There must be a way to avoid the energy loss of mechanical rotating blades. Invent THAT and you will make a not inconsiderable fortune (provided someone doesn't cheat you out of it, which is likely).
Anyway offshore wind farms are a bad idea and aren't worth doing. Why waste so much money on massive infrastructure with so little return? Nuclear is the way to go. In fact, a nuclear MHD system would be REALLY the way to go! But the Environmentalists hate any large energy project that actually produces reliable energy because their ambition is to deindustrialize the world, to restore it to it's native state - and we all live dirt poor and starving. That is what happens to human beings in a state of nature; we starve. There is a reason why we built a civilization and especially an industrial civilization.
Life in a natural state is one of eternal seeking of food and a grumbling belly. Keep just some of our technology and you live in the brutishness of the neolithic, with constant warfare for what is produced because there are always famines and pestilences and someone looks across the border and asks why his luckier neighbor should have food and he doesn't. Then there is just a lack of comfort; hot in summer, cold in winter, light levels too low at night, no proper medicines, few luxury good, few goods in general. Try making your own blanket from raw materials! Most people couldn't live in the 19th century, much less than 6th century B.C.
Good luck with that!
At any rate going back to windmills is like going back to donkey carts, or worse. Maybe we can bring back rickshaws, and get the homeless to pull then as Kramer suggested on Seinfeld. They have nothing to do all day anyway.

Carbon Dioxide Makes Grass Grow Green

Isn't this a good thing?
More grass means more food for animals and the whole ecology there flourishes. And it means more carbon taken out of the air.
The article states:
"The paper, published in Nature, shows that higher carbon dioxide levels help wild savanna grasses reduce water loss through their leaves. This allows them to maintain photosynthesis and produce more aboveground growth when water is scarce."
So the grasses become more efficient at holding water and thus growing even during dry spells, thus reducing the dangers of desertification. And at the same time they are taking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. And feeding animals.
The article continues:
"Dr. Kimberley Simpson, research fellow in the University of Sheffield's School of Biosciences and the study lead, said, "The grasses that dominate savannas have often been considered largely unresponsive to rising carbon dioxide because they already use a highly efficient form of photosynthesis under hot and high-light conditions.
"Our findings challenge that assumption. Under dry conditions, higher carbon dioxide helps these grasses conserve water, reduce drought stress and continue growing."
Savannahs cover one fifth of the Earth's surface, so this is a major find; it means a carbon sink that had been ignored by the geeeniuses at the IPCC.
Yes, grass fires then become more likely but still it's by and large good news.
And remember too that humans graze cattle on many of these Savannah lands (think eastern Colorado or Texas or Nebraska) and more grass means more cattle which means more steaks and chops and hamburgers.
This is an opportunity more than it is a problem. If life gives you lemons make lemonade, they say. The powers that be want to use lemons to make a bad tasting laxative.

Russia on the Ropes

The next revolution may be coming soon. Russia is reported to have lost 225,000 men in the Ukraine war and recruitment is said to be at 221.000. After this next election Putin is expected to go for total mobilization and those who can are leaving while they can. Putin may win an election and lose power if the Russian people say enough and demand peace with Ukraine. The war with Ukraine is getting worse as the UK just announced it is sending Ukraine 150,000 drones using sanctioned Russian money to pay for them, some of them are rocket powered drones developed by the UK. Russias air defense systems were not designed to intercept drones and Russias size makes it impossible to protect everywhere even though they are taking measures to intercept drone attacks. In July a joint NATO exercise that singled out Kalingrad showed Putin that his stronghold is not as strong as it appears. US, Italy,Poland Germany and the UK took part in the exercise with the Polish ground forces spearheading a simulated attack on the weak land point in Kalingrads defense while US and Italian aerial platforms covered them. The US brought in its high end electronic platform used to jam and detect electronic gear on the ground. Germany and the UK sent in 2 aircraft that reportedly shadowed a Russian sub in the area. The reason for this exercise was the Russians have been jamming GPS signals used by civilian aircraft in the area. Russia keeps compounding its problems by flexing its muscles while actually showing its weakness.

The Bird's the Word

Anyone remember Newspeak? That was the "updating" of language by the state in Orwell's 1984 to make thinking politically incorrect things, well, unthinkable.
How do you do that? You eliminate words, for one thing. Well, guess what?
We are being stripped down to the bare bones of our language and no doubt at some point the Ruling Class will then rebuild our language in a way far more pleasing to themselves.
The internet has much to do with it. Most people online use limited vocabularies, and this in return makes the viewers less labial, or less verbal anyway (maybe labial isn't the best word, but I want to show people how it's done).
I won't go into methodology; theirs seems adequate and the article I linked goes into that in detail. As they authors mention, the total OUTPUT of words has probably not declined much but the different words used has declined - the vocabulary.
We see this all the time with young people who lack the verbal skills to express themselves. It is hardly surprising; they live in bubbles with limited human contact and control of what they see and hear and learn. One empty mind preaches to another. Everything gets dumbed down, and when they don't know a word they immediately have access to technology that gives them the definition and they can just move on and forget it. In bygone days we used dictionaries, and the chore of having to look something up cemented it in our memories.
Of course this also speaks to our educational system, which is capable of graduating kids with fourth grade vocabularies. The schools and universities no longer make it their mission to teach anything beyond remedial reading.
So a college kid needs to write a paper on Shakespeare. What does he do? He doesn't READ Shakespeare he goes on line and gets a youtube tutorial on the Bard. Basically he doesn't learn anything, he just gets the information he can parrot back in a paper and that's that.
As our populace slides ever deeper into silence and mediocrity we wonder why we have so many kids now all on board with socialism/communism. They haven't a clue about anything to do with it but think it somehow "fair" because their professors or teachers said it was. They can't read The Little Black Book of Communism because they don't understand most words. Their profs speak in baby talk to them.
At a certain point any culture will stop functioning if the thing that holds people together most - their language - deteriorates past a certain point. It is the thread that binds us all. Without it and we become - something else.
The difference between Man and the animals is language. Animals communicate in a basic way, and some even have a sort of language, one they are born to understand (like chipmonks) but these non-human languages are limited to basics, lie calls about predators or food or water sources; complex concepts elude the minds of most animals and that because they lack the language skils that we possess. While some of that is biological - we have Brocca's Area and wernecke's Area, for instance, in our brains and they do not - we also have a rich language with many different words to describe complex concepts and the memory storage capacity to remember those words.
The fewer words people possess the more likely we are to fall back on the reptilian and limbic systems, the animal portions of our brains. Losing our words literally turns us to savages.
The Neocortex has nothing to work with if it has no words. And of the triune brain the neocortex is the one that makes us higher than the animals. We do not function primarily on fears or pleasures but on reason, logic, long term planning. But it can't engage if it can't speak.
So this dumbing down (literally) of the public is a very bad thing indeed. It's how we lose civilization.
