Wiles Out
Timothy Birdnow
Trump has said he was "advised" not to talk about the border or any of his Administration's other big successes by someone and I can only assume it was Wiles. As Chief of Staph, er Staff she controlled who was advising Trump and what they were telling him.
Clearly he ignored his own political instincts this election cycle, toned down, did not discuss important matters so much as inconsequential things like the ballroom or the triumphal arch or whatnot. Gone was the bombastic Trump of old.
BTW this is how Roll Call starts out this article:
President Donald Trump on Friday announced that Stephen Miller, the architect of the hard-line immigration and deportation program voters rejected this week, will become White House chief of staff.
No, this was not even an issue in this last election. The war in Iran and "affordability" were the top issues and they know it.
And while Trump was quite gracious about the matter, saying Wiles did a terrific job and chalking her departure up to her breast cancer,
Mediaite reported he was "furious" at her for the catastrophe' last Tuesday.
I tend to believe he's right; I've never thought very well of Wiles and suspected her. I would add RFK Jr. has
accused Wiles of taking money to sabotage MAGA and MAHA. She certainly was embroiled in the scandal involving two of her good friends in the Administration who were taking money from a Russian organization.
At any rate someone told Trump to keep his head down by and large. And the whole GOP refused to brag about what Trump has accomplished.
Conservative Treehouse deals with Wiles better than could I. See
here and
here.
As they argue, Wiles was an old-fashioned big donor type Republican and not MAGA. She played to the donor class. Undoubtedly it was she who advised Trump not to talk about the success t the border out of fear of angering the pro-amnesty crowd, especially the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
According to Sundance at Conservative Treehouse:
Mrs Wiles famously took the position of Chief of Staff on the condition that she could "keep the crazies” away from President Trump. Wiles became the gatekeeper to the White House controlling every point of access to the president.
One of the issues of concern when Wiles initially took office was her career as a lobbyist, consultant, campaign manager and donor organizer, gave her a career perspective predisposed to view finance as a key for influence and access. Those concerns never really diminished. Mrs. Wiles returns to her comfortable place in the political operation.
She was a former lobbyist for Qatar and held other big-money jobs before taking the reins in the White House, and she was known to rule with an iron rod; she was often called the Ice Queen.
In the second article Sundance states:
Several MAGA people ended up in conflict with Susie Wiles and she was ruthlessly controlling. It was Wiles who selected Pam Bondi (both from Ballard Partners). Bongino had a big run-in with Wiles on the Epstein stuff. Gabbard had to tread on eggshells around Wiles while trying to retain critical access. The MAHA agenda was considered frivolous by Wiles and the small crew she used to manage everything
Bongino and Gabbard, both good, loyal soldiers, were driven out by the Ice Queen while Bondi remained in office far too long.
I suspect it was Wiles who was the architect of the GOP strategy, which really was no strategy at all; they seem disunited and confused and remained fairly quiet the whole campaign.
One wonders if Ms. Wiles actually wanted a Republican victory; given her ties to the Big Money donors, meaning the RINO wing, she may have realized that if the Administration continued along successfully it would cement MAGA into permanent power, something the RINO's did not want, and thus it was in HER best interest to see a major loss, so she could be hired elsewhere. One of the big problems she faced was that a lot of the big money interests would not hire her if she facilitated the permanent overthrow of the RINO wing.
She is smart enough to understand that. No job offers for her if the GOP did well.
I've long argued the GOP is nothing but a bunch of hollow men in it for their own power and enrichment. They are thinking ahead to post-Trump and know the Democrats will punish them - and so will the big corporation interests that want the international markets back and all the rest. So people like Wiles will betray their benefactor to secure their own perceived interests. Wiles wasn't alone; it's why John Thune refused to do any major part of the Trump agenda. He was the ultimate in a do-nothing Speaker (except he kept the Senate permanently in session so Trump could not make any recess appointments). Congress was useless so why does it surprise anyone they got fired? If I had a worker as lazy were they I'd fire them too.
At any rate Susie used her wiles on Trump and it cost us the whole damned country. It will bring back the RINO wing to power, and that means there will be no real opposition to the leftward movement of America. Susie Wiles sold America for thirty pieces of silver. She may not have known that was what she was doing (just as Judas did not know he was handing Jesus over to be crucified - he thought they just wanted to question him) and she may have had pure motives even, but the result is the same. Her problem, like all the Establishment Republicans, is that she didn't understand that the nation itself was in great peril. Not it's going to die.
Trump did not fire her completely, just sent her back to the "minors" where she started - as Trump's campaign manager. Trump can't run again so it's not much of a job, like being exiled to Siberia. (I know; its more than just Trump's campaign manager, but it is now a rather pointless political position. It's officially his "political organization" but it will have little to no influence now. Miller will be the big dog.)
If there was duplicity, massive duplicity as I suspect, I am not surprised; they could not let Trump succeed. The old guard Republicans hate Trump as much as the Democrats. Mike Pence is out there now talking about how he wants to lead the GOP back to "values", meaning he's going to run again, shows they have just been waiting to take Trump out. The country be damned.
They have succeeded too. The GOP will not stand in the Democrat's way now, even in impeachment. I won't be surprised if Trump is not just impeached but removed from office, then prosecuted, along with all his family.
A pox upon the entire GOP. I may well switch to the Constitution party in the future. The GOP is unreformable.
Now, if we can just get Howard Phillips to stop running for President under the CP...
