This court has to know they will be overturned on appeal, but they are doing this because NOW is a critical point in the recovery and they need to keep someone in power who will undercut Trump's program. There is an upcoming vote on cutting interest rates and this court stopped ;her firing so she can remain at the Fed and stop a cut that will help the economy and thus help the Administration.

Note the PBS article calls the mortgage fraud allegation against Cook (and others like Letitia James) "unproven" even though there is a paper trail. They keep pointing to a political ally of Trumps but never to the actual evidence presented by Fannie and Freddie head Bill Pulte. It's the evidence that is damning, so they just ignore it and say "alleged" and make it sound like a conspiracy. It's clearly not; there is cause.
Two of the three judges on the panel agreed with one dissent. The two judges in the majority haed both been appointed by Joe Biden.

Who You Calling a Goon!

When I was a young man I had many an adventure in drinking establishments. One time I and some friends went to a nightclub and did shots of Wild Turkey. Wild Turkey never agreed with me and I went into the bathroom where I promptly hurled in the toilet. A man was in there looking at me funny "are you o.k." I told him "yes, my stomach was a little upset that's all" and he left. When I came out of the bathroom I was met by the man and two big goons, bouncers for the place.
They barked orders "you're leaving - NOW!" I tried to explain I had to find my friends as I hadn't been the one to drive and they subsequently grabbed me and bodily began tossing me out of the place.
Now,this nightclub had just been in the news for bad behavior by the bouncers; they had gotten into a fight with several of the football Cardinals (who were still in St. Louis then) and so these were some out-of-control thugs. The manager, fearing a lawsuit, came to diffuse the situation. He was a bit more polite, but still wanted me out without finding my friends so I could leave.
I told them man "you had better rein in your goons" and at that point one of said goons grabbed me by the shirt and slammed me up against the wall with this little gem:
"WHO YOU CALLING A GOON!"
I simply said "I rest my case" and the manager made the hooligan let me go.
When I read this essay that's what I thought about.

This was in response to an attack by Schiff on Patel over the move of Ghislaine Maxwell to a lower security prison. Patel said that was a decision by the Bureau of Prisons and the FBI had no hand in it. Schiff called Patel a liar in response, saying Patel believed the American People (meaning he and his cronies in the Democratic Party) were "stupid".
Frankly I don't think Patel went far enough. But then, after a certain point, words fail. Schiff has pretty much reached that point; you can't insult him enough with the words available. We need to invent a whole new nomenklature.

Judge Not Lest Ye BeJudged

This monster doesn't seem to realize that gun control would not have stopped this assassination. It involved a completely legal hunting rifle.

This is clearly a person who never should have been made a judge, and who should be impeached by the Ohio legislature if the Disciplinary Council fails to revoke his license.
Sadly I suspect most Democrats feel the same way as this guy, they are just cautious enough to not say it. He counted on his being a judge to protect him.
The time has come to set things right. As the old song went "Praise the Lord and pass the (nonlethal) ammunition!"

Turns out the two men who planted a bomb on a Fox News Vehicle were a father and son team of immigrants from Pakistan. The media chose not to report that little detail. Also, the race was mislabeled as "white" by authorities.

Letitia James made a tacit admission she is guilty of fraud when she said not that she wasn't guilty but that the DOJ couldn't prove the case.

The woman is a lawyer after all and it's going to be very hard to prove it was just an accident,an honest mistake (that benefitted her greatly).
James claimed her father as her husband to get better rates on her mortgage. She also claimed a five bedroom was a four bedroom to get cheaper insurance, and claimed a residence in Virginia as her primary residence when in fact she was leasing it out. One mistake, maybe, but all of those? How did she pass the bar if she is this careless and confused?

Vance said (much better) what I've been saying all along; Truth trumps comity and while we need shouldn't go out of our way to be offensive we need to stand our ground and defend what it true. Too many Conservatives have been talking accomodationist in the last few days after Charlie Kirk's assassination.

Consumer Spending Up, Despite Tariffs

Well, well, well....
Retail sales up 0.6% in August from July even as tariffs lead to price hikes
I think at this point it's safe to say the economic theories we've operated under for the last thirty years are wrong.
Granted, the tariffs may yet lead to a slowing economy - they haven't been in place long enough - but the evidence does suggest we aren't going to have the economic doomsday the economists were predicting.
Here is typical mainstream media reporting:

In point of fact the summer saw a seasonally-adjusted consumer price index increase of a scant 0.2% over the last three months (it has increased 2.7% over the last year, most of which occurrred during the Biden Administration which the maistream media won't tell us) , which is in line with the 2.1% inflation rate. CPI will naturally rise during an inflationary period, and we've had inflation since President Nursing Home blew through trillions of dollars.
As for the job market, how do tariffs hurt that? Companies are coming back to America to build stuff as a result of those tariffs. And this while we are deporting or seeing self-deportation of millions of illegal aliens who were taking American jobs?
Discussing unemployment, the St. Louis Federal Reserve had this to say:
Many of those unemployed workers not finding jobs were government employees who were let go. They have no marketable skills; they were institution men.
And many of the unemployed are holding out for better jobs than the ones they can get at present. College grads with no skills won't take the jobs vacated by the illegal aliens. (On a personal note my wife is in a nursing home and the staff is in constant flux because nobody wants to stay and do that job. They have better opportunities elsewhere.)
The rise in unemployment is a good thing; it means that people previously on the welfare rolls or on unemployment are now trying to go back to work.It means the "jobs Americans just won't do" are still unfilled to a degree, but are being filled, or the numbers would be much higher.
Also, bear in mind that the huge influx of aliens into the U.S. during the Biden Administration is undoubtedly adding to this number. Technically they aren't supposed to be counted but you know they are, especially in the survey of employers who undoubtedly hired illegals.
ABC News is lying by omission here, subtly, sneakily. And sadly most Americans will never learn of the deception.

As for the job market, how do tariffs hurt that? Companies are coming back to America to build stuff as a result of those tariffs. And this while we are deporting or seeing self-deportation of millions of illegal aliens who were taking American jobs?
Discussing unemployment, the St. Louis Federal Reserve had this to say:
The U.S. unemployment rate ticked up to 4.3% in August from 4.2% in July. More precise data show the rate rose to 4.324% from 4.248%, respectively. The rise in August’s reading is primarily explained by two factors: An increase in the number of people not previously in the labor force who began looking for work last month, and fewer unemployed workers finding jobs.
Many of those unemployed workers not finding jobs were government employees who were let go. They have no marketable skills; they were institution men.
And many of the unemployed are holding out for better jobs than the ones they can get at present. College grads with no skills won't take the jobs vacated by the illegal aliens. (On a personal note my wife is in a nursing home and the staff is in constant flux because nobody wants to stay and do that job. They have better opportunities elsewhere.)
The rise in unemployment is a good thing; it means that people previously on the welfare rolls or on unemployment are now trying to go back to work.It means the "jobs Americans just won't do" are still unfilled to a degree, but are being filled, or the numbers would be much higher.
Also, bear in mind that the huge influx of aliens into the U.S. during the Biden Administration is undoubtedly adding to this number. Technically they aren't supposed to be counted but you know they are, especially in the survey of employers who undoubtedly hired illegals.
ABC News is lying by omission here, subtly, sneakily. And sadly most Americans will never learn of the deception.

We've all fallen on ice after a deep freeze, and if we haven't we've had other encounters with the slippery substance. But why is ice slippery?

The familiar winter slip on a frozen sidewalk is often blamed on body weight pressing through the sole of your (still warm) shoe. New research from Saarland University indicates this view is incomplete, finding that slipperiness stems from interactions between molecular dipoles in the ice and those in the contacting surface, such as a shoe sole, rather than from pressure or friction.

Brown U. Suppresses Study Showing Trans May be a Social Contagion

A researcher published a peer-reviewed paper that suggested transgenderism is a social and not biological isse in most cases - and her university (Brown) pulled the press release after getting grief from the Trans community. Brown's Dean still insists they support free inquiry.
The reason it was pulled was because of ostensive problems with methodology. But the author used standard methodology, eschewing a control group because there was no way to DO a control group and most such studies don't use them.

How, pray tell, do you do a control group when doing such research? This professor surveyed the parents, not the children, and this was the conclusion based on the concensus of the parents. I thought concensus was everything in Science these days - they always tell us that when debating Climate Change, for instance.

The fact is there is enormous pressure on boys these days to be more girly and young boys learn this. They are treated like parriahs, "toxic masculinity" is the term often applied to them. That buys them all sorts of praise and approval - from teachers, from other students, from society at large. They know it too.
The war on masculinity has led to white males being the only demographic whose life expectancy is shrinking. And it has given us few men going to college as the slots are all filled up with women and minorities. Being a man is a burden in modern America.
Yes, there are female to male switcheroos too, and that is probably for different reasons. There has always been a jealousy in many girls for what they perceive as the "privilege" of boys and many girls want to do what boys do and wear what boys wear rather than the more laborious clothing and makeup of womanhood. The tomboy has been with us for centuries in one guise or another (think Joan of Ark). Now girls who want to be boys can use chemistry and surgery to make it happen. I suspect girls who like other girls oftten want to actually be boys.
By the way well over 25% of trans males are "gay" meaning they want to still have sex with women. They just like the attention of being trans. That number is WAY above the average for homosexuals as a percentage of the general population. Now why is that? I'm not sure of the stats for women to men trans; have to look them up.
At any rate something is out of kilter here. And it won't get back into kilter by suppressing dissent. That isn't science - it's politics.

Lisa Littman, an Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences, in a peer-reviewed published study based on anonymous survey responses from 250 parents of teens and young adults who had abruptly expressed gender dysphoria, concluded that "further research” is needed to determine if social factors are contributing to the dramatic increase in "rapid-onset gender dysphoria.”
Yielding to political pressure from the trans community and its allies, Brown University issued a statement indicating that it decided to withdraw its press release about the Littman study after learning about "concerns over the study’s methodology.”
A letter from Bess Marcus, the Dean of the School of Public Health, claimed that she has "heard from the Brown community members expressing concerns that the conclusions of the study could be used to discredit efforts to support transgender youth and invalidate the perspectives of members of the transgender community.” Brown University has not specified the "methodological concerns” in the peer-reviewed study, but it is more likely that the concerns were more political than procedural.
Some of the criticisms of Littman’s study were the "lack of a control group.” This is a spurious criticism considering that she never claimed that her study was anything but a qualitative or descriptive study. Besides, even psychological studies with control groups can be problematic. An article published a few years ago in the August 2015, issue of Science revealed that in an analysis of 100 studies from some of the most prestigious journals in social psychology found that nearly two-thirds of the quantitative – highly controlled – experiments described "did not replicate.”
This means that when scientists attempted to repeat these experimental highly controlled studies—using the same techniques, the same conditions, and analysis—they could not obtain the results described by the original researchers. The authors of the Science study concluded, "This project provides accumulating evidence for many findings in psychological research and suggests that there is still more work to do to verify whether we know what we think we know.” At least in her survey, Littman interviewed real subjects – real parents dealing with the real gender dysphoria of their own children. It would be difficult to find a more valid study.
Besides, PLOS One—the Public Library of Science, a highly regarded journal that "accelerates the publication of peer-reviewed science”—published the Littman study after a rigorous peer review process. The study never pretended to be the "final statement” on the contributors to gender dysphoria. But, the transgender community will not allow anyone even to suggest that transgender identity could be anything other than a biologically determined fact—and it’s certainly not a "fad.” Professor Littman never suggests that it is a fad. She is simply describing what large numbers of the 250 respondents to her survey have told her.
Littman found that the surveyed parents who had been supportive and understanding of their child’s sexual confusion drew the line when their children declared they were transsexuals and wanted to physically change their sex through surgery and/or hormone therapy. The parents believed the children’s quick transition was being influenced by social media and other trends.
* 64.4% of the female children (the majority) expressed a non-heterosexual orientation prior to disclosing a transgender-identification.
* 69.3% of children had been part of a group where one or more friends had come out as transgender when they did.
* 60.7% of children found their popularity increased within their group after declaring their transgender preference.
* 55.9% of children had high expectations that transitioning would solve their problems in social, academic, occupational or mental health areas.

I suspect the Left is targeting Utah because the Mormons are traditionalists (if not always Conservative) and they want to make it a dangerous place to punish them and maybe drive them out.
Had this succeeded I wonder how the media would cover it? Probably try to blame it on the Right, claiming it was retribution for Charlie Kirk. Naturally they would ignore the fact it was a Fox News vehicle and not NBC or CNN.
There were two men, one 58 and another 31. How much do you want to bet they were in some sort of sexual relationship? Anybody?
