Harbinger

Timothy Birdnow

This is not just a little ominous.

It is known that the Yellowstone supervolcano was responsible for at least one mass extinction, and another was caused by a supervolcano in Siberia. And it is now even believed that the extinction of the dinosaurs was caused by one too. The theory that it was caused by a big asteroid has faded a bit. (In fact the volcano is now thought to be the prime cause but the asteroid strike was the cherry on top of the sundae, finishing Dino off where they may have survived, at least some of them, the volcanic eruptions.)

The article summary states:

Deep beneath Japan’s Kikai caldera, a massive magma reservoir is refilling 7,300 years after one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions in Earth's recent geological history. Scientists used underwater seismic surveys to reveal a vast store of magma that appears to have accumulated since the ancient catastrophe. The discovery could help explain how supervolcanoes like Yellowstone and Toba rebuild their magma supplies.

While this may sound like a purely academic matter - supervolcanoes fill back up with magma - it also may be, rather, a harbinger; if these volcanoes are refilling maybe one of 'em will blow again.

Interesting little tidbit the last time this particular volcano blew was 7300 years ago. Know what else happened then? There was a major drop in genetic diversity among our little ole ancestors. Coincidence? I think not.

More likely our ancestor's food supply dropped way off from this event.

In fact most MEN died off, leaving a world chock full of chicks. There were 17 women for every man. Why would that be? In a world bereft of food the men would risk their lives more as the situation grew desperate, and they would also fight more wars to take what little food there was. It would be natural, in a world governed by force and where there was no women's lib, the men would do the dying. (BTW this may well have been the genesis of feminism in the first place as women, with no men around, would have to "wear the pants" or in their case the loincloths.) Probably the men who survived were lame and couldn't go out in a desperate search for food, or were powerful enough not to have to.

This is conjecture, of course, but I strongly suspect these two situations are causally linked.

The theory being offered in the article suggests that powerful warlords were able to eliminate most of their competitors and so a few families were the primary ones to procreate. But this STILL does not explain WHY these few warlords survived while everyone else perished. I think the volcano eruption may well have tied in with it.

This article also suggests war killed off most of the men.

There are other tantalizing tidbits; in Saharan Africa, which then was a lush, green paradise, the natives were genetically unrelated to any other peoples who now inhabit the region or anyone else we know today. They practiced animal husbandry but don't appear to have interbred with other ethnic groups. They are completely gone now as the Sahara desertified, and probably the disappearance of both (the people and the Sahara) are tied to this supervolcano.

There had been a sharp decrease in planetary temperatures in the 8.2 kiloyear event, a little ice age that lasted four centuries and marked the beginning of the Northgrippian, an epoch of cooler temps globally. (Also, this caused a drop in atmospheric carbon dioxide levels by 25 ppm, illustrating that atmospheric carbon dioxide naturally dissipates and this over three hundred years not the ten thousand years the climate alarmists always tell us.)

At any rate something happened during this millennium and it may well have tied to this supervolcano in some way. Obviously other things were happening too - the climate was changing WITHOUT any major human impact.

I noticed in researching some of this that there are some of the Gang Geen blaming the climate change on...drumroll please...human activity, particularly burning wood and clearing forest land! They just cannot believe that human beings are NOT the center of the universe, are not godlike in their power to create and destroy. Yet the climate had changed many times without human intervention; the Younger Dryas, which kicked off the Holocene, saw a much bigger drop in planetary temperatures and there were far fewer people twelve thousand years ago, the end of the paleolithic. (No doubt the colder temperatures forced humans to find new sources of food and thus new tools and a more sedentary way of life hence the ending of living in caves and wandering around scrounging for chow.) Human activity could not impact this cooling period but we are told it did in the Northgrippian.

At any rate the 7000nds was a very bad time, especially to be a man since you would probably die. But if you lived, momma mia!

The Beach Boys couldn't possible have dreamed of conditions like THAT: they would have had to sing "17 girls for every boy!"

Nice work when you can get it.

Anyway, to get back on topic, the supervolcano in Japan is filling up and that may be a bad sign. A supervolcanic eruption could do what this thing did last time. And it's just one supervolcano we need to worry about; Yellowstone is way bigger and more dangerous and is showing signs of life.

The more we learn the more we should realize we are living here by the grace of God and there are so very many things that could kill us. We are the biggest, meanest germs on a petri dish and think ourselves lords of creation when the lab researcher can sterilize our dish any time he pleases and start over. It's time we learned some humility.

West Bank Lockdown

Timothy Birdnow

If at first you don't succeed...

Israel needs to annex all of Palestine and remove the so-called Palestinians. Maybe send them to the Kerguelen Islands in the south Indian Ocean or something. Kerguelen is owned by France but I suspect right now the French wouldn't stop Israel from doing that.

The so-called Palestinians will never stop trying to kill Jews; it is the only purpose they have in life.

What's Your Name, Little Girl, What's Your Name

Timothy Birdnow

In honor of the St. Louis Blues and Laura Branigan,  ahem, "Omar, I think they got your  number, I think they got your alias, that you've been living under".

Ilhan Omar's real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi and here father was a brutal Somali military thug working for a warlord. She was not a refugee.

This is evidence America needs a background check done on people elected to Congress. This woman should never have made it this far (shame on the Republicans for not finding this out when she ran and s hame on the Democrats for ignoring it) but once elected to Congress, which presupposes a national security clearance, why did nobody catch it? Because the assumption is Congress does not require a clearance as they are elected officials and that the political process would weed such people out. But obviously it didn't and the media was completely incurious.

I just can't fathom how she and her family immigrated here and she ran for Congress, was elected, then made herself a huge hemorrhoid to the body politic, being in the spotlight for years, when she had this secret and nobody, NOBODY bothered to look into it. But that is the state of journalism and politics these days.

There is no "controlling legal authority" as Al Gore used to say, over who can serve in Congress. And while Congress can kick people out they rarely do and almost always accept anyone elected, no matter how corrupt or crazy. Take Alcee Hastings of Florida.

Hastings was appointed a U.S. District Judge by Jimmy Carter and he was impeached for soliciting a bribe and perjury in 1998 and convicted by the U.S. Senate in 1989.
He was removed from the bench, but then ran for the House of Representatives, and won a seat in Congress from the 20th district (formerly the 23rd) which represents part of West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale (a predominantly black district created for affirmative action reasons). He was the dean of the Democratic Party in the House in Florida.

He retired a well-respected member of Congress, which should tell us what Congress is all about.

If a guy can be removed from his judgeship for corruption how is it he is fit to serve in Congress? So it should surprise nobody that Congress did nothing to prevent Ilhan Omar/Nur Said Elmi from taking and staying if office, despite her anti-American rhetoric and her obvious connections to Somali criminal activity.

And she'd have no trouble now even if another Republican Administration was in office; they'd fear antagonizing the black rights community. George Bush would still praise her as a courageous black woman.

It's only because we have Trump, who gave us Jeanine Pirro and Todd Blanche that anything is happening now to stop this.

I am mindful of Leviticus 26:17

And I will set My face against you, so that you will be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one pursues

Omar is clearly one such, an enemy ruling over America. So is AOC, so was that Crocket woman in Texas. So was Kim Gardner in Missouri. Enemies of America and the American People ruling over us. But they seem to be fading and I believe the reason is that God is turning His face back to America. I assume our people are starting to repent; it needs to continue.

At any rate Omar is an enemy of America and she needs to be stripped of her citizenship and deported, hopefully after an uncomfortable stay in an unpleasant prison.

Plateauing Warming from Carbon Dioxide Increase

Richard Cronin

Query to Grok AI —>
"If the concentration of co2 increases from 430 ppm to 860 ppm how much additional downwelling infrared will increase above the 356 W/sq meter baseline ?”
Answer: 1.5 to 3.5 W/sq meter.
Query to Grok AI —>
"How much heat is removed from the surface by evaporation (W/ sq meter), upward convection and condensation/freezing in the upper troposphere ?”
Answer:
Globally averaged, evaporation takes about 86 watts per square meter off the surface. Sensible heat from convection adds roughly 17 to 20. So together, surface-to-atmosphere turbulent transfer is about 105 watts per square meter.
That 86 from evaporation doesn’t disappear. It gets released as latent heat when the vapor condenses, mostly in the mid and upper troposphere, peaking around 8 to 12 kilometers in the tropics. Freezing adds a smaller extra pulse higher up. Net effect: the surface loses about 105 , the upper air gains roughly the same, and the energy has to find its way back down or out to space from up there.
Conclusion: We are right about at the point of saturation or plateauing from the effects of increasing CO2 concentration and downwelling Infrared.

Winner, Winner, Fried Chicken Dinner (Fat Chance)

Timothy Birdnow

Thank God he didn't try to win the Chinese restauraneur vote or he'd have ordered cat over rice...

El Sayed actually did African American outreach by ordering fried chicken. I wonder if he asked for watermelon for desert? Maybe he borrowed some hot sauce from Hillary Clinton while he was at it.

Now watch for Mr. El Sayed to start carrying a pick instead of a comb. (Remember the scene in Spaceballs where the two teams of storm troopers are pushing massive combs through the desert but the African American team are running hair picks "We ain't found SHIT"!

What a pandering pile of porcupine poo!

The Coming Collapse

Timothy Birdnow

When Gutenberg created his marvelous machine to make endless copies of literature he had no way of knowing he was creating a revolution that would shake the world to it's very foundations. One of the things it did was to allow the Bible to be mass produced and where a priest held the Word of God in his own hands and disseminated it to the congregation it became possible for every man to be his own priest (assuming he could read).

Aue; there's the rub. Most people couldn't read ; why teach children when there was nothing TO read? So the revolution was slowed a bit by illiteracy, but there was a revolution nonetheless, and it started with a revolt against the Catholic Church. The Protestants began building schools so everyone could read the Bible.

The Reformation could never have happened without the printing press.

Now, there was much to admire in the Reformation. It certainly forced the Catholic Church to clean up it's act (something quite necessary after the massive corruption of, say, Pope Alexander VI who was one of the Borgia family and his reign was during the Renaissance. But it sparked a spirit of revolution, and it was latched onto by dark forces, such as Deism and Atheism, and this sparked a series of Revolutions starting with the benign American Revolution (which was too tame for a few of the rebels like Thomas Paine) but worse the French. None of those would have happened without the printing press. The ideals of the Enlightenment spread like wildfire through what was then called Christendom, and the late Enlightenment philosophers would create radically new ideas that would spark the absolute worst impulses in Man. Rousseau, Voltaire, and in Britain David Hume would all promote a dark vision of radical individualism and at the same time collectivism. That would be followed in the 19th century by the German lile Nietzche or Schopenhaur.

Naziism and Socialism were both ideas spawned by Rousseau, and Karl Marx just wanted to tack a "scientific veneer" on socialism. He called it "scientific socialism" and pretended his was entirely evidence and reason-based, but it was no different than any of the tripe peddled by the more primitive socialists of the day.

Anyway the printing press sparked all of these revolutions and continues to do so to this day, only we have ever faster and more interesting forms of communication.

But the bigger they are the harder they fall.

This article takes a gander at civilizational collapse, going bac to the Celts in Europe and looking at the Bronze Age and a couple of other collapses. He's right; we are way overdue for another.

As he points out, the Bronze Age ended when tin became scarce due to trade route collapses and the people of that time started making iron, thus the Iron Age was born out of the Bronze Age.

The thing is, we've had several revolutions in the last few hundred years and I doubt we could do something new given the height our technology reached. If our electronics should die (and there are ways they could) it would be hard to replace them with something better.

We are already facing something named the Knowledge Crunch. This is a problem stemming from too much to learn for any one person so our rate of technological growth and worse, our ability to operate our technology, will start to fail. People will only be able to work on parts of things and eventually not even that; it will require AI to pull the threads together for a lot of the systems we have become totally dependent upon.

We see this in the Climate Change debate; the scientists who are so often quoted are only familiar with a very limited area of climate, and they rely solely on the good word of people in other fields when climate is influenced by, say, solar activity. So the scientists THINK they know what they are talking about but they are unaware of other things, like the impact of cosmic rays on climate, and so they defer to professional organizations for input, organizations usually controlled by government money or funded by liberal private organizations. So research suffers because nobody is willing to learn more than one discipline and unable to conceive of how these things interrelate.

The end result is a science establishment that moves in lockstep and defends an orthodoxy of opinion they themselves created. It's the knowledge crunch writ large.

This will only gt worse the more we learn.

There is another problem, one pointed out by Nietzche back in the 19th century. Science is about questioning assumptions. And of course it's publish or perish and so every researcher wants to make a big splash. The end result is researchers begin questioning their fundamental assumptions - such as the Universe is logical, knowable, an that human reason can find common ground with others.

This has been eroding for some time. The idea of a subjective reality has come to be the norm "my truth" as opposed to "the truth" is common. And we really see it with the trans issue and the idea of multiple "genders" because who are we to say there are only two? That's not "their truth"!

But this infests all the sciences these days, even physics and Astronomy and other such. To a lesser degree than psychology, which was always like silly putty, but now it's everywhere. Physics has it bad because quantum mechanics long ago adopted the Copenhagen Interpretation, which says that human observation actually alters reality. This did not sit well with Edwin Schroedinger, who famously did the "Cat in the Box" thought experiment. He argued "put a cat in a box with a bottle of poison that will break at an unpredictable time. Then at that point the cat is both dead and alive until you open the box and collapse the wavefront". Contrary to popular opinion this was not intended to explain Quantum Physics but to criticize it. Niels Bohr, when confronted with this, said "You got it". Albert Einstein also criticized this, saying "God does not play dice with the Universe". At the quantum level it appears God does, at least as WE see it (no doubt He is still in control He just makes it appear to us we are on a driverless racecar).

So this and Einstein's Relativity was moved by philosophers into the mainstream of culture. Now science is schizophrenic, with some voices talking about absolute Truth (when it's convenient) and at other times talking about the subjective nature of reality.

That's why we have such nasty fights over global warming; the warmiacs insist they hold absolute truth, but when challenged with adverse material they switch to subjectivism and say we are in the pocket of Big Oil or whatnot.

This is not a long term stable situation. This kind of refusal to face reality and to admit we are not gods is going to bite us in the posterior and HARD. Our culture will be unable to survive it.

I suspect something will take down our electronics. Without those we will be deaf and blind and isolated - and civilization will have to start that long, brutal climb back up the mountain we had moved so easily. And Manking may eschew the kraken of big technology because so many had already despised it when times were good. If it fails we may never choose to rebuild it.

I just hope I'm not here when the end comes; it will be worse than anything ever imagined. Way too many of us and not enough food. I don't know what human meat tastes like but I'll bet it tastes like a greasy chicken! Bon Apetite'!

The Cheat Machine is Still Intact

Timothy Birdnow

The big blue thumb remains pressing heavily on the election scale despite efforts by Trump and the MAGA crowd.

They may well steal Congress yet again this election; everything that made the Democrats competitive in prior elections remain in place.

If the goal is "democracy" we aren't getting it.

A Tale of Two Riots

Timothy Birdnow

I experienced the same thing when I attended a Mike Brown protest in Ferguson; peaceful, safe crowds during the day, but riots at night.

See, during the day the actual protesters came out, and the terrorists would be too easy to catch. So the professionals waited until night and then began burning and looting and smashing stuff.

It's the Left's MO and they are using the same tactics they've used in America and elsewhere.

Iran is not Vietnam

Timothy Birdnow

Oh for crying out loud!

This is just defeatism.

Iran isn't even remotely like Vietnam, which was an uprising by the people of South Vietnam fomented by North Vietnam - a country we refused to actually fight in that war. It was fought using some of the dirtiest guerilla tactics imaginable and it was waged against ground troops on patrol who were playing hide and seek with the terrorists rather than doing a systematic destruction of their bases of operation and their supply chains.

Even then we WON Vietnam, as declassified North Vietnamese communiques prove. They were utterly shocked after Tet; we had obliterated them, but Walter Cronkite went on the air and declared solemnly "this war is lost" and America believed that leftist creep. We pulled out at the moment of victory and the Vietcong knew they had lost and were simply astonished we gave up.

The article does not suggest strategies for victory but merely rehashes the Vietnam saga and mentions how the popular support wasn't there, nor the government messaging.

The reality is the media supported America in WWII, less so in Korea, and turned against us in Vietnam, where it has been ever since. But there were ways for the government to compel proper reporting, and they could have simply had a blackout on information from the battle fields, forcing the media to get their information second hand or from the government. But Johnson and later Nixon didn't do it.

The media success in turning this war into a disaster emboldened them to take out Richard Nixon and they've strutted around ever since, believing themselves king slayers and the true rulers of America. Nobody has of yet disabused them of that notion.

At any rate the corporate media wants to Vietnamize this war but there are too many other sources of information now, and the American People are wise to the fact the media lies. Trump can go on Truth Social and give out information about how this war is going; he need not filter it through the media.

I fear this was a bit of a dud, more an effort to reminisce about Vietnam than actually look at the realities of the current war.

Less Chilling and not because of Plant Air

Timothy Birdnow

Yes, cosmic rays and solar activity DO impact the planet's climate.

This paper is from 2024, not from 1999.

It's interesting because I was arguing with a guy who claimed to be an astrophysicist on Facebook (I know, right; why would an Astrophysicist waste time arguing with the mob on a Facebook page?) who was mocking Sally Baliunas and the cosmic ray theory. I found this to rebut at least one of his points (I was at a disadvantage because he had a suspicious amount of data, most especially papers, at his disposal while I had to look a lot of this stuff up to rebut him, and that is hard given the way search engines hide such papers that disagree with the alarmist view.) He claimed to know Baliunas personally, yet spoke quite ill of her, so it's obvious he was either lying or had a grudge. At any rate I pointed out that yes, science is admitting cosmic rays influence the climate and I further argued that many of the criticisms he made of her were immaterial. He hasn't responded since yesterday, even though he was quick to reply back then (too quick, given he kept bringing up papers I couldn't get into to read; methinks he had a "how to talk to a skeptic" website and now has given up to blather on elsewhere. In short I think he's a paid troll, and I told him as much. Oh, one thing, he used "type II and TypeIV when referencing stars, a designation I had never heard before, back when I studied astronomy in college and I asked him about it; why not use G2 or K8 or one of the spectral designations and he did not reply, leading me to question his knowledge of the subject. I tried looking up those designations and got Pokemon pages but nothing about astronomy.

At any rate this shows that cosmic rays are an impact on climate, one not in the models. And there were other papers I found while looking.

Now, there are two kinds of cosmic rays - Galactic and Solar. The galactic appear to be as the solar wind output has declined,

In our current case cosmic rays are probably not creating clouds as it is more active than any time in the last eight thousand years, according to NASA. More solar wind means fewer cosmic rays, which means less cloud cover. We KNOW cloud cover has been in a serious decline, especially since 2000. While we can debate the meaning of all of this, and the cause, we cannot dispute that last fact; there are fewer clouds and thus more solar radiation reaching the Earth's surface. More sun means more warmth.

I pointed this out to the guy and he simply dismissed it without addressing it. An astrophysicist should have been all over that.

At any rate the chilling stars appear to be less chilling these days, and it's not the fault of plant air.

South Korea Kidnaps U.S. Ambassador

Timoothy Birdnow

President Trump needs to do his Maduro trick to the Leftist President of South (our former ally) Korea.

Yes, they actually nabbed a former U.S. Ambassador for speaking ill of the president while here in the U.S.

When faced with a kidnapping of an American diplomat in Columbia President Teddy Roosevelt dealt with it by saying "him alive or you dead" and that was that. The prisoner was released. Trump should do that here, and threaten to snatch both the Ambassador and the Korean President if they do not hand the man over.

You can't let a country do this. If they get away with it other countries will snatch higher-level people in Trump's Administration.

If the South Korean president is being lied about he could deal with it via civil suit. But he has no right to snatch an American citizen of any stripe. Time to take action.

DOJ Investigating Woke Philly DA

Timothy Birdnow

There is a new sheriff in town and these political DA's can't get away with it anymore.

Philadelphia's Woke DA Larry Krasner, who received millions from Soros to become DA and stay there despite being one of the worst, most biased in the country, is apparently caught up in a scandal involving a plaintiff who sought to overturn his conviction. Krasner is being investigated by a grand jury for conspiracy and obstruction of justice.

FTA:

Last month, U.S. District Court Judge Paul S. Diamond said that amid internal backbiting and feuding in the district attorney’s office, Krasner may be guilty of conspiracy or obstruction of justice, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

"I have thus reluctantly concluded that Philadelphia’s highest law enforcement official and one of his top assistants may have violated the law,” Diamond wrote, as noted by Fox News.

Diamond wanted federal prosecutors to sift through testimony to determine what actions were taken in the district attorney’s office after a man sought to have his murder conviction overturned, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Former Assistant District Attorney Jaclyn Mason initially handled the case, but after a spat with supervisors who said the brief she filed contained errors, she quit and said former supervisor Matthew Stiegler pressured her to file a faulty brief.

The supervisors testified that Stiegler wanted to frame Mason as an error-prone "rogue” and that Krasner called that a "really good idea.”

The supervisors rejected the plan, and in the battle over next steps, Krasner reportedly wanted no outside involvement to "protect the office” and "control the proceedings.” He also threatened "consequences” if they revealed what was taking place.

Do you believe Krasner's funding from Soros impacts his decisions as DA?
Yes, it's a major influence
No, he makes independent choices
It's complicated

Diamond equated such comments with obstruction of justice and said that Stiegler may have committed perjury, calling his testimony "often contradictory, evasive, or outright dishonest.”

"Like Stiegler, Mr. Krasner wanted the DAO to submit a false narrative to the Court,” Diamond wrote, referring to the district attorney’s office.

He said supervisors "roundly rejected” the proposal, with one calling it "tremendously inappropriate.”

That's what woke folks do; they lie and obstruct and target some while letting others go free. There is no equality under the law.

Thi is what George Soros' District Attorney's Project has given America; two tiered justice.

I hope we can take this clown out and send him where he belongs. It's time we cleaned house.

Poland, Lithuania and the Ukrainian Drone.

Timothy Birdnow

In other Russo-Ukrainian war news the Ukrainians sent their attack drones against St. Petersburg via Poland and Lithuania without their permission, marking a major international incident which the media in the West is not reporting on.

The Kyiv Independent describes it as a lone drone and an accident caused by Russian jamming, but the the Russians are viewing this in a far less charitable light as you may expect. They warn retaliation should the Poles and Lithuanians be aiding Ukraine. And rightly so; that is an act of war.

The world is sitting on a powder keg and some dern fool is likely to light their cigar...

From Russia with Love

Timothy Birdnow

I'm not just a little suspicious about the timing of this.

Bear in mind it was the Ukrainians who reported this; there is no independent corroboration.

Vladimir Putin is a lot of bad things but no fool and he was not going to do this just before the elections to embarrass President Trump and by extension hand Democrats talking points. He's not that stupid. If this happened it did not come from the top brass and probably was in error - IF IT HAPPENED. This looks like one of those staged stories we see coming out of Palestine about "Israeli atrocities" which turn out to be bogus.

Yes, Russia has intensified bombing and a lot of civilians have been killed. But that is a world away from Russia purposely targeting civilians. This has been a war of attrition and those always end with civilians getting bombed (and not in the way Boris Yeltsin used to). Think about how many civilians were collateral damage during the last days of WWII.

America firebombed Tokyo. The Europeans firebombed Dresden.

At any rate Steve Witkoff is flying to Russia to set up peace talks and then this happens. Coincidence? I think not. Zelensky doesn't want peace - he wants Crimea back and some Russian territory as compensation to boot.

I saw one conservative blog (which I respect) arguing this was a "genocide" which is flat out ridiculous; this is not a systematic attempt to wipe out a race. At most it's an attempt to terrorize the civilians. It may also well be just Russia's ability to control it's weapons degrading. One of the things that hit was a cruise missile.

In the final analysis I am more than a little suspicious about this alleged Russian attack.

Illegal Voting in California

Timothy Birdnow

Good luck with that. The judiciary is crawling with leftist activists who think illegals voting are just fine.

No doubt this will wind up going to the Supreme Court, as does everything involving Trump. The Democrats dominate the judiciary; we gave them their picks but they never returned the favor.

Omar in Big Trouble

Timothy Birdnow

The walls are closing in on our favorite Muslim Congresswoman.

Shouldn't Mike Johnson strip her of her committee assignments pending the outcome of this?

I would have liked her to keep her passport though; maybe she'd self-deport and save us the trouble.

Omar has nobody but herself to blame; she ran her mouth way too much. If she had been a little quieter nobody would have noticed what she had done and was doing but she pushed everyone into looking into her. She could have been a Congresswoman but just not so vocal. But she's arrogant and dared America to come at her. Now we have.

BTW they had to go dumpster diving to get her DNA. But they take swabs of DNA all the time when crimes are alleged; shouldn't a sitting Congressman have his DNA on file with the government? I mean, it's just there in case but we do it with criminal cases and if there was ever a criminal case almost every act of Congress fits that description. Bill Clinton had to give a cheek swab and that proved the semen on Monica Lewinsky's blue dress was his (something that cost him his law license, although it should have resulted in jail time but the judge was an old law student of his). I want DNA on file for each and every Congressman and top guys in the Executive branch too.

Hopefully Omar gets deported sooner rather than later. If anyone deserves it it is she.

The Problem with Our Military

Timothy Birdnow

The great Victor Davis Hansen does a cost analysis of why our war making capabilities are a very bad deal.

Patriot missiles cost $4 million a piece, Tomahawks cost 3-4 million, and the Hellfire is two hundred grand and has to be shot from a plane, rising our pilots. The enemy can fight with drones that cost five to six THOUSAND dollars and can be made very easily.

So we are spending twenty to thirty times as much to knock them down as they spend to put them up. It's a recipe' for disaster.

Yes, ours can do more, but who cares? In the end ours are the best weapons we won't be able to afford.

Meanwhile we've lost a quarter of our own drones and at most it is projected we will produce 300,000 new drones - while war-raveged Ukraine is making over a million. There is something wrong with this.

And our drones cost several million dollars to make. We've got to do this much more cheaply. Much more.

Maybe we should arrest all the illegal aliens and force them to serve sentences in drone factories; make cheap labor (in this case free) work for us for a change.

There is no reason we can't build Predator drones and at the same time make cheap expendable ones.

It's the same old problem; American labor costs are too high due to labor unions, government regulations on environmental and work safety conditions, etc. But if we outsource we spill the secrets about our equipment and put ourselves in danger of having our hardware supplies cut off.

Hansen contrasts our wonderful military of today with the military hardware that won WWII:

When we rearmed, and we started the war with number 19 in size of our army and almost virtually no air force to speak of except some B-17s and out-of-date fighters. We had a good Navy, but the idea was we were not going to try to match the Germans or the Japanese necessarily, in the quality of each particular plane.

We were not going to build a Panther or Tiger tank that was indomitable as far as the power of its gun, and the armor, but would be produced in very limited, at 5,000 or 6,000 Panthers to a little over 2,000 Tigers. We were going to do something different. We were gonna produce 50,000 Sherman tanks.

Pretty good tanks. 10 hours on the road, one hour maintenance. Not like the Tiger or Panther, one hour maintenance, one hour on the road. Easy to maintain. Very crew adaptable. If they were hit, you could drop out on the bottom through a trapdoor. Three out of five of destroyed Sherman crewmen escaped with their lives.

This was based on a war of attrition model. America abandoned that when it became obvios Russia and China could outlast us in a war, so we went full Wehrmacht and devised a new kind of military, one which could outmaneuver the enemy.

But times change and now we are seeing that our wonderful gadgets and superior tech is too expensive and can be countered by cheap, simple tech. All this fancy hardware does is force us to waste money and resources better served with a more lean approach.

When Rome and Carthage went to war in the first Punic war the Romans were at a serious disadvantage because, while they had the best close-range fighters in the world, they had virtually no navy. Carthage had far and away the best navy on Earth, with vast capabilities in what was then the best ship on Earth up to that time - the Quinquereme - which balanced speed and power and maneuverability. The Romans couldn't hope to compete - they were fighting the best sailors of the time. So they took a low-tech shortcut; they put grappling hooks on their ships, closed with Carthaginian ships, then sent in Roman soldiers to fight hand to hand. Worked beautifully and the Romans quickly neutralized the superior Carthaginian vessels and won the war. Carthage never could recover from that and in the end Rome utterly destroyed the city and sowed salt in the Earth to make the place uninhabitable for a long time.

Lower tech can often outperform the spiffy new tech that everyone becomes enamored of so quickly. Mostly because it's cheap and takes little in the way of resources.

The Chinese invented a repeating crossbow and they could then use children or women with no training to help fight battles. reasonably low tech but it worked.

And we all remember what the Vietcong did to us during the Vietnam war. They hid in the jungle, lay nasty, hidden traps, and generally did not engage us directly. It worked.

The point is it is sometimes better to use cheap and small than big and expensive. Low tech - especially when there is an innovation nobody expected - can often defeat a superior opponent. Too much pomp. It's part of why the British lost the Revolutionary War. They strutted around in their fancy uniforms while the Colonials moved faster in their simple clothes and shot faster with their simple varmint guns.

America needs to overhaul our military system. The time of wars with big armies going at each-other and navies dominated by carriers is largely over. Now it's drones and precision missiles. We need to adapt or wind up like Persia after Marathon.

Vomitorium

Timothy Birdnow

And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.

Leviticus 18:28

And that is just what is happening in Europe, with the enthusiastic efforts of the  Ruling Class.

Follow the money.

It's government money and NGO's, most especially the Catholic Church, who is moving these Muslims into Europe in an insane effort that is incomprehensible; it will swallow Catholicism whole, as it did Orthodoxy centuries ago.

Spain is the lynchpin, or one of the chief ones anyway, and the Spanish facilitate the invasion so they can get more money from the European Union. Most of the migrants move through Spain to get into France and from there the U.K. and much of Western Europe. Italy and Greece too.

But there is vast sums of wealth flowing to make this happen. Someone sure as hell wants to disappear Europe and replace it with an Islamic Caliphate.

Boats leave from several North African states but mostly from Mauritania and then they reach Spanish territory, where they are then offered the fatted calf:

A worker for the UN's International Organization for Migration says Spain deliberately lets the boats keep coming so it keeps receiving EU money.
ACCEM, a Catholic NGO that took in about €225 million in 2024, mostly from the Spanish state, moves arrivals from the Canary Islands to the mainland, houses them in camps and pays them a monthly allowance.
Migrants are flown by the hundreds from Gran Canaria to Madrid.
In the Spanish border town of Irun, an activist group has painted a trail of footsteps guiding migrants past police and into France, where a city-run shelter takes in people with no papers.
The UN's own migration agency says the priority should be "facilitating, not restricting" migration...

Many of these are Black Africans, which is why the Left in Europe wants them so badly; they want a multicultural Europe, a multi-racial one. They think Europe is too white and too Western. So the push for Arab, Berber, and especially Sub-Saharan Africans to migrate into the heart of Europe so as to replace the "racist" old white folks with a new Europe, a "more colorful" Europe.

The only thing is nobody ever ASKED the Europeans if they wanted this; the elites just did it. Where is their precious democracy now?

Never in history has a People not just stumbled into collapse but actively sought it's own demise and yet the Western World is doing precisely that, purposely endeavoring to eliminate her own people, to replace them, solely to "atone for the sins" of their great great great grandfathers. It's insane But it is what happens when you gut the core out of Christianity and leave the bare-bones aspects of it. Christianity is universalist and requires good things be done for the less fortunate. The Left kept that but gutted the other aspects of Christianity. The Bible speaks all the time about not just letting alien peoples in your midst - just look at what the Jews were commanded to do to the Amalekites.

God made Israel His special People - he did not want them erasing themselves out of some misguided sense of charity.

Being Christian means understanding family and country come before others. Yes, you should care about others, but you should care first about those entrusted to you by God. Muslim military aged men are not entrusted to the Papacy - Europeans and the nations that sprang from Europe were.

There is no wisdom in Rome any longer, nor in the capitals of Europe.

SAVE at the State Level

Timothy Birdnow

The problem is reciprocity; illegal aliens can get liceses in sanctuary states then get relicensed in the states with the SAVE act at the state level.

Also, things like the national database are not in place.

Immigration and illegal immigration necessitates a federal response; the states simply lack the power and authrority to do it on their own. And of course the blue states are the problem in the first place.

But it is a good start. We don't want TOO good a start though because it will absolve the GOP in the Senate from passing a Federal law, a law that is necessary for the security and safety of our country.
