This is so typically Leftist; they stole the election from Trump in '20 then try to accuse him of stealing it in '24. Kamala Harris had nothing to run on, even if she was a good candidate, which she most definitely was not. She had to defend the Afghanistan pullout, double digit inflation, the Covid lockdowns and mandates, an invasion at the southern border (and that by the tens of millions), poor job growth, overregulation of businesses, etc.
And this from a woman too stupid to string five words together intelligently.
Biden won in '20 by massive fraud via mail-in balloting and twisting electronic voter machines and other dirty tricks. Without campaigning he won more votes than anyone in history by far, and he even wom more black votes than Barack Obama won when HE ran. Bellweathers all failed. More people voted in many precincts than were r registered.
Now the Left knows we have the goods on them so they launch a turnabout attack "nuh uh but what are you" and sadly some of their cretinous creeps will actually believe this happy horse hockey.
The pure chutzpah of this is staggering. It would be funny if it were not going to find traction with a few.
I think this is a sign they are getting desperate. They know they are going to take it in the shorts (or panties for the xi crowd) and so they are desperately trying to turn the tables by ridiculous, unsupportable allegations like this. Have to get Musk in there because he donated money after all and will again. It's pure sophistry.
The funny thing is they spoke with Musk's ex-wife and she was blathering on about lasers in space, as if they was evidence of some sort of dark, sinister plot by Musk to steal the election.
I mean THIS is what they are reduced to using!

British patriots formed a line and prevented a bunch of illegal aliens from leaving the shoreline after they arrived in a giant inflatable boat. Buses had been sent to pick them up and carry them into the sylvan English countryside but the public would not let them be taken. They blocked the buses.
Britain is nearing the point of civil war. The original inhabitants of the country want their country back, want the riffraff aliens out. It's only the Ruling Class there that wants more and more aliens to come, to cement their power and to work to cover the deficits in the huge welfare state they have created.
There will be no English, no Welch, no Scots or even Irish if this continues; it will be a Middle Eastern state, a filthy, crime-riddled hellhole where white women cannot walk outside without fear of being raped.
Our ancestors threw tea overboard from ships when the British tried to force us to pay high taxes on it. These Brits are ready to throw illegal aliens overboard, or at least keep them penned on the shore. God bless them, I stand in solidarity with all of them. Here is a wonderful idea. I've been kicking around new names for New Mexico, from Rio Grande (in honor of the short-lived Republic of the Rio Grande) to Gadsden to Kearney (after Stephen Watts Kearney who invaded New Mexico during the Mexican War and even Trumpsylvania.
The author of this American Thinker post suggests Polk, after President James Polk, who took control of the territory after the Mexican War.
James Polk is an oft-forgotten President and that for good reason; he expanded America and it sticks in the craw of every liberal/leftist in this country. He was the embodiment of an expansionist America, unapologetic and a devotee of Manifest Destiny. In fact Polk made four campaign promises and fulfilled them all - he wanted to annex the southwest and California, he wanted to settle the border dispute with the British over Canada (54=-40 or fight!), reestablishing an independent treasury system, and reduce tariffs. He accomplished all these goals in just four years. He is responsible for the second largest growth of America, just behind Jefferson with the Louisiana Purchase.
Polk is hated because Polk was proud of America and wanted her to grow. From sea to shining sea infuriates Leftists.
So maybe we should honor this forgotten titan of a President and rename New Mexico Polk. Thee are plenty of Polk counties in America, after all.
And it's a poke in the eye of Liberals. How delicious!

How to Attain Victory in Iran

American Thinker has an article today discussing what victory will have to look like, and I think the author is right.
It won't involve an uprising by the Iranian People, but it will involve getting the Iranian Mullah-ocracy to beat feet and go into exile before they go broke and/or the Americans get them.
The author cites two examples - Bashir in Syria, who lied about Russian military aid coming then flew the coop for Russia, and Khadaffi in Libya who tried to go to a friendly territory to wait it out and got caught by French aircraft. Either solution involves making the Mullahs split the scene.
And split the scene they just might. As is pointed out, these mullahs are in the mullah - lots of it. They are the richest people in Iran, all acquired from ill-gotten gain. They are not going to go back to riding asses; they prefer sitting on theirs. So what they may try to do is run while they can, taking their money with them. They aren't liking the economic squeze being put on them at all, and they might just head for greener pastures.
I think this is correct. The People are beaten down and fearful after 40,000 protesters were killed by the junta. But if we make the Mullahs fear the reaper and worse, being broke, they may well decide they would like the cool climate of Russia with their pale and lovely Devusha Uneya Pedi's (young ladies) they will have working as servant girls (and probable concubines).
What we are doing is trying to drive out a religious class which is deeply entrenched. This approach MAY work if these 12ers think they will be able to return in a few years. If not they will go down fighting. But what other option do we have? We don't want to send in the Seals or Delta force or any other troops. We need to resolve this through air power and economic pressure. Money is always Man's god, and while the Mullahs may worship Allah they also have a fondness for the coins.
It's hard to dislodge religious fanatics. But I think it can be done if we make them poor enough and endanger their lives. People are great at rationalizing. And they might want to die for Allah in some spectacular fashion (like a suicide bomb) but to die in a bunker underground is something nobody wants. I think they will leave if they can. We need to make it relatively easy for them to find asylum in some other country.
If we pressure other countries to not take them we would be making a mistake; right now we need them out. Later we can hunt them down, but at the moment we need to offer them a golden bridge of escape, as Sun Tzu called it. We can get them later, lie the Soviets got Trotsky in Mexico (maybe not poke an icepick into their heads though.)
Anyway I believe we can win this, but we have to have some fortitude and understand what is at stake. Steak for us, grasshoppers for them, that's what should be at stake.

The Hypocrisy of the Gang Green
You know, the climate change creeps, the Gang Green as I like to call them, are forever telling us Big OIl is the ones funding "climate change denial" so they can kill Green Energy and keep making their filthy profits.
I always point out to them (rather fruitlessly since this is their biggest weapon against the science that disagrees with the IPCC) that Big Oil is the industry best positioned to take advantage of Green energy; they can build the solar farms and wind farms and other things using the money they made, and make and promote alternate fuels like ethanol or hydrogen. There is no reason for a suicide attack to kill Green Energy on their part. An in fact many oil companies are heavily invested in this tech, and also give money to the climate alarmists. But of course that goes into one ear and out the other.
So, why aren't these same people happy about the war between Iran and the U.S.? This should drive prices up and encourage people to buy EV's and go for alternative energy.
Strangely most of those who are attacking oil companies are against this war. Now why do you suppose that is?
Suddenly Democrats are all concerned with oil prices being too high and not at all concerned with Iran getting nuclear weapons. Democrats HATE oil. But here we now have them all worried about getting the price of oil down. Hypocrites.

This should mean they are making huge profits. And it also should have led to a major uptick in American oil production, but the oil companies have taken a "wait and see" approach and not increased production by much, if any. If the reasoning of the Gang Green is correct they should love this war - they don't.
Which only goes to prove the alarmists are full of bologna. Big Oil is not funding the "denial industry" as they call it - they may have financed some research but the research is correct whether it was funded by Oil Companies or government or NGO's. Why is funding by Oil Companies clearly biased and incorrect while funding by NGO's and Government leads to accurate science?
And why would oil companies want to leave their children with a world destroyed by their product? Why would they want to have a nuclear Iran, for that matter, with their children to deal with that? They aren't happy about the war but they aren't marching in the streets to resist it either.
When it comes down to brass tacks a nuclear Iran is a clear and present danger and we do this for our children. "Climate Change" is a nebulous, unclear, and scientifically hard to support theory based on models that don't even predict current climate from past data. One must be dealt with, the other is just a fantasy, a generation long War of the Worlds scare.

Horsepoop! Another Murdoch Mystery smear.
This article is based primarily on a Cook Report article saying the GOP is in big trouble in the Senate. I take polls and leftist analysts with a huge grain of salt.
Murdoch's journalistic empire has become increasingly liberal and it is run by Establishment Republicans who want their party back and who are willing to lose to get that.
What I predict will happen is the polls will start flipping shortly. As the article admits these polls are probably underestimating Republicans by over five percentage points - putting all of these in the Republican camp.
See, right now the Democrats need their spirits lifted as they see doom down the road. And Republicans need to be suppressed. So bad news for us, good news for them, in a way that cannot be verified. When the polls are proven wrong they will yammer on about some sort of statistical excuse, but we've seen this repeatedly over the years. The polls are all about guiding public opinion, not reporting it.

I think Pabst is missing a great opportunity here; this is advertising gold! It's like a hoax where celebrities disappear and there is a claimed demand for ransom when they are faking it just to get publicity. Only it really happened.
The company should be crowing about how thieves aren't stealing Bud Lite or Coors or even craft beers - the want PBR! It's a marketing wet dream.
Interestingly enough the beer was stolen from an Anheuser-Busch warehouse (not sure why it was there - A-B doesn't own Pabst) making it all the easier to make hay from this.
But A-B InBev cut a deal to contract brew Pabst after Coors-Molson turned them down. So I guess they wouldn't dare mock Budweiser with this theft, but they certainly could mock Coors/Molson. Coors Molson owns the iconic Miller brand as well.
It's time we start using anti-trust laws to break the foreign hold over our brewing industry. There are no major American beer brands not owned by foreign interests or conglomerations these days. A-B is owned by InBev, who are based overseas as well.
We need Ameican beer for American working folks! Joseph Coors ands Adolphus Busch are rolling over in their graves!
Even the pride of Texas, Lone Star Beer, is now an InBev product, being made by Anheuser Busch (which isn't that big a stretch since it was founded by Adolphus Busch and tasted like Budweiser used to taste before A-B got on their "drinkability" kick and watered the stuff down and made it more floral.) I haven't had Lone Star in years but I'll bet A-B did the same thing to it they did to their flagship beer. Toilet water and nothing more..
If we want manufacturing back in America it's time we took back our beer. Hippie micros are fine but in the end they aren't doing the job; we need traditional American lagers to be made by Americans on American soil with American owners.
At any rate this theft of beer presents a great opportunity for Pabst to sell more beer. I wonder if they see what a great chance they have here?

Uh, no.
This dreadful idea has a name - socialism. We are trying to get RID of socialism, not join it.
"Officials are drafting a rule that would let married couples with one stay-at-home spouse tap federal child care subsidies, a priority of Vice President JD Vance, the New York Times reported. The plan would carve out a new category the draft calls "parent-based child care,” letting one married parent draw assistance to care for their child while the other works at least 35 hours a week, according to the Times."
Once again J.D. (as in Rockefeller) Vance is promoting a terrible idea in his folksy, hillbilly way. But it takes money from producers to give to those who are not involved in economic growth. You know that this will be horribly abused and will require a massive Federal bureaucracy to run and enforce.
If you want to help families allow mothers to stay at home you need to get the cost of living down and wages up. Taking money from producers to subsidize a stay-at-home lifestyle will lead to more inflation and suppressed wages, and in the end will destroy the families even more over the long run.
Government is like fire; a dubious servant and a fearful master. There is a reason why the Founders didn't put stuff like this in the Constitution in the first place.

The money would come from the Child Care and Development Fund, a roughly $12 billion program administered by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Congress created the fund under the 1990 Child Care and Development Block Grant Act to help low-income families afford care so parents could work or attend school, according to the Congressional Research Service. States distribute the aid through vouchers or direct payments to providers, and it averages about $9,000 per child each year, according to the Times.
Redirecting that pot toward at-home parents worries critics who say the fund cannot stretch further without new dollars. Roughly 80% of the 870,000 families now collecting the subsidy are headed by single working parents, most of them mothers, according to Health Department figures cited by the Times.
I have no problem redirecting money away from freeloaders, but it will just lead to new freeloaders or the old ones finding a way to take advantage. The fact is this will grow and metastasize, and once the Democrats are back in power you will see this thing grow mammoth. And they will put new qualifications on it (like, perhaps, no home schooling). The President is playing with fire.
We need less government, and government taken OUT of our lives rather than put into it.
Government safety nets are not supposed to be hammocks. That is what this will become.
If Vance supports this then I do not support Vance. It is a form of socialism. It will lead to Guaranteed Minimum Income (it's quite similar, is it not?) We did not put Trump and Vance in office to backdoor socialism in America.

I can tell you this; the assassin is not a Republican, nor anyone associated with the Alt-Right. How do I know?
Simple; this guy is in custody but police have not released his name, nor offered a motive. If he were I guarantee you we would have heard all about it. But it's a minor news story, which suggests this attack was by a crazy or a leftist (two synonyms, of course).
Right now I am certain the Democrats and the meia are huddled together trying to find a way to spin this into an attack on Trump and MAGA. But they probably have got squat to work with.

Trump to Rename New Mexico?

He's overusing America, why not come up with some other new names? Me, I like Trumpsylvania. Now THAT would stick in their craws!
Actually there is a forgotten piece of history that is applicable here. When Texas first seceded from Mexico another part of northern Mexico did likewise. It encompassed a part of New Mexico and parts of what is Mexico now ( Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas ) , but Santa Ana came (well, his underling did anyway) and crushed the fledgling Republic before moving on to Texas, where he failed. While only a small portion of the Republic of the Rio Grande was in New Mexico, still some was. It's capital was in Laredo, now in Texas.
There are other names Trump could use. Since much of it was purchased by the U.S. and that area was called the Gadsden Purchase maybe the state can be renamed Gadsden? Granted, most of the Gadsden Purchase formed southern Arizona, but a good chunk of New Mexico was purchased as well.
The President needs to get more creative with his renaming; you can't rename everything America.
As I argued previously President Trump should have renamed Lake Ontario for the Iroquois - Lake Iroquois. Better than the vanilla Lake America.
At any rate I never did understand why the state was named New Mexico. Why honor Mexico, a country many people hated and wanted to leave even back in those days? (In addition to Texas and Rio Grande, the Yucatan also rebelled at this same time and it too was crushed militarily.)
It should also be noted that the Louisiana Purchase was supposed to include Texas and New Mexico, but the Spanish complained and when Mexico seceded they reasserted the Spanish claim on the territory and the U.S. reluctantly let it go. We never did renounce our claim to the territories and so we did not "steal" the southwest - it was ours by right of purchase. Mexico tried to steal it from us. And they weren't even the original owners - Spain was.
Another name to consider - Colonel Stephen Watts Kearney. Kearney was the guy who invaded New Mexico during the Mexican War and he liberated that dirt-poor region from Mexican oppression. (He also went west and liberated many other states). Today he is largely forgotten. Maybe we should rename New Mexico Kearney? It would be a proper tribute to a forgotten American hero.
At any rate Trump has the right idea, an idea whose time should come. I just wish he'd stop renaming everything "America"; it bespeaks a complete lack of creativity.
But then he often names stuff after himself. So Trumpsylvania would be a fine choice!
BTW I am not sure Trump can rename a state; I suspect that authority lies solely with Congress.

Revenge of the Sith Court

The Ninth Circus, er, Circuit Court of peels,, er, Appeals has essentially removed the power of states to remove people from the voter roles and thus set the stage for an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
SCOTUS will go down in history as the most important one we've ever seen in America, more than likely. Sadly it's run by a weak-as-water Chief Justice along with a couple of real weenie Justices backing his sorry posterior.
At any rate the Federalist has this to say:
RNC v. Mi Familia Vota is about to test whether states have the right to require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote, and whether they can remove noncitizens from their voter rolls within the so-called "quiet period” 90 days prior to a federal election.
Ultimately at issue is the power of the decades-old NVRA to override states’ rights in determining who can and cannot vote in state-run elections.
"If the NVRA preempts States from imposing and enforcing a citizen qualification to vote in their elections, it creates serious constitutional doubt about the constitutionality of the NVRA itself,” the secretaries of state for Kentucky, Mississippi, and Nebraska argue in the friend-of-the-court brief.
The Supreme Court will take up, and perhaps settle, the lingering NVRA issues it dealt with 13 years ago in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council of Arizona. In that case, the court ruled that Arizona could not require proof of citizenship on federal election registration forms, on which individuals need only attest that they are U.S. citizens. But the ruling did not bar states from requiring proof of citizenship on state voter registration forms.
Arizona’s election integrity laws allow applicants without proof of citizenship to register to vote in congressional races but not in presidential elections or by mail. Left-wing activists immediately challenged Arizona’s identification requirements, asserting that the laws violate the 1993 NVRA and disenfranchise voters who cannot provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship.
SCOTUS weighed in ahead of the 2024 election, granting a stay on a lower court decision that sided with the leftist groups but allowing individuals using the federal registration form to vote in the presidential contest and by mail.
Republicans and election-integrity advocates argue that the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals "erased” a "constitutional boundary” in declaring Arizona’s election integrity laws unlawful. The secretaries of state note that the U.S. Constitution "confers upon States the authority to determine who is qualified to vote” through the voter qualification clause.
"The Ninth Circuit was wrong in this case. States determine voter qualifications and perform voter list maintenance. Nothing in the National Voter Registration Act changed this longstanding tenet of federalism,” Nebraska Secretary of State Robert Evnen, told The Federalist exclusively in a statement.
If the lower courts are going to argue Trump had no right to restrict mail-in ballots being delivered by the Post Office then how can they turn around and argue the states cannot restrict voter rolls? If Federalism prevents Trump from doing what he did how can the courts turn around and argue for the supremacy of federal law over state law, or more accurately the INTERPRETATION of Federal law? Either this is a state issue alone or it's a federal issue alone; can't have it both ways.
That they Democrats have argued this both ways shows it's only about using the law for political gain, not because it is the right thing to do.
The Democrats are running scared right now; they know much of their political power has come from letting in millions of illegal aliens who will vote for them since they promise protection and money. It's the dirtiest of dirty deals at the expense of Americans. It steals our vote so that they can win. This is the most abusive of actions towards American citizens.
But power is all they seek. Like Palpatine in Star Wars Episode three they shriek in joy "Unlimited power!" as they kill those trying to stop them. They are setting up an empire. (They just had a Star Wars movie marathon on this week and I caught some of it between commercials on the Yellowstone marathon on another channel.)
Once again it falls to SCOTUS. This is why the Senate needs to get off it's duff and start approving judges nominated by Trump. John Thune has foot-dragged on this all along, as did Mitch the Bitch before him.
We need to remake the courts to restore sanity. That's why the Democrats are so jacked up against Trump; the courts are their preferred method of pushing unpopular and unconstitutional ideas on America. He's wrecking that. But JOhn Thune is tossing them a lifeline by not confirming Trump appointees. He needs to go.
America is perched on a knife-edge. How it falls will determine our entire future. Defeat the Sith we MUST! (to Quote Yoda).

America - the Torch that Lit the World

Here is the feel-good story of the day. A very inspirational post about how America fundamentally changed the world, written by a person who was brought here as a child.

For thousands of years, the world was an old place. Human beings walked, rode animals, sailed with the wind, cooked with fire, and lit the darkness with candles. Civilizations rose and fell, but the basic human experience remained stubbornly familiar.
Then, in 1776, the world roared.
America was where the Age of Discovery, the Scientific Revolution, and the Enlightenment became a living experiment. And with America came a question that changed the human condition: What if?
What if the old limits were not limits at all? What if a human being were free to wonder, experiment, invent, fail, and try again? What if a person could look at the world as it was and imagine it as it could be?
America didn’t invent curiosity. It created a place where curiosity could run. A thought became an experiment, an experiment became an invention, an invention became an industry that transformed the lives of millions. Someone looked at darkness and asked, What if we could make our own light? Someone looked at distance and asked, What if a message could travel faster than a horse? Someone looked at the sky and asked, What if human beings could fly? And someone looked at the Moon and asked the question waiting for humanity since the beginning: What if we could go there?
Granted, there had been great scientific and technical innovation that had been ongoing for generations BEFORE America (the Middle Ages, for instance, saw huge leaps forward in science and technology) but it was the founding of America that saw a sea change; suddenly all sorts of things were being invented and created. Yes, it was also happening in Britain too, and even France and Germany, but one could argue the American Revolution is what sparked a lot of this.
I wouldn't argue that it was the key to all of it, but it certainly was an important building block.
The wild, untamed North American continent presented the early settlers with serious challenges. The crops they were familiar with didn't grow in the soil, or grew sometimes and not other times, and new crops had to be planted, or new techniques developed for growing the old European stuff. (That is the debt the Pilgrims owed to the Indians, who taught them to eat squash and other native plants that allowed them to survive the famine of those first couple of years). By necessity the colonists had to develop new ways. And they had to build their own tools oftentimes from what they could scrounge. Swedish settlers brought the idea of the log cabin, for instance, and it caught on in America where there were plenty of trees and little time to build a structure. Early colonial buildings were sawed lumber frame houses, as in England at the time. Log cabins saved huge amounts of time in construction and a more secure building as the logs were hard to break through.
There were so many things the American settlers either devised or adopted. Eli Witney's cotton gin made cotton a viable clothing source; before it cotton was a luxury item because it took hours to pick the seeds out of the fiber. (Sadly that same gin made slavery a viable industry in the U.S. because the growth of cotton expanded and it still had to be picked by hand.) Of course we went on to invent things like the telephone and viable electric light and a host of other great things. All of this came because we learned to experiment, and there was money to be made by turning ideas into realities.
As this author points out, the very competitive nature of this spurred Europeans to follow suit. France had a revolution that was inspired by ours. And all of these nations liberalized (I hate to use that word) laws, allowing free markets as Adam Smith had suggested rather than maintaining the old highly regulated Merchantilist system that Europe had long promoted.
So the "shot heard round the world" truly was that. And this fellow - an immigrant - figured that out. Sadly many native born Americans have not.
He continues:
That is America: not finished, not satisfied, still reaching for something further out. And God, I hope we never stop.
I know something now I could never have known then. That boy did not simply arrive in America. America arrived in him: the freedom, the possibility, the audacity to believe tomorrow could be better than today.
So yes, I believe that America is exceptional. Not because someone told me to, but because I can look at the evidence: where humanity began, what Americans built, the Moon, and the boy who came from Havana to stand beneath those rockets. We did this. We earned it. And I am damn proud to have become an American.
Yes, it is America that creates, and it is the America in us that leads us ever onward. De Toqueville said that about the American character, that we were always dissatisfied and looking for something better. It is not a vice; it is what has driven us to invent, create, develop, and make the world a better place. Dissatisfaction with the old world is in our DNA. De Toqueville saw it as a virtue too.
And with the closing of the frontier Americans went into creation overdrive; they no longer had the frontier to tame. It's why the 20th century so so many innovations. It's why we fought foreign wars. It's why we went to the Moon. There was the Turner Thesis, which argued there would be immense psychological changes to the American People with the closing of the frontier. Turner was correct and many went off the deep end, adopting crazy socialist ideas. But others went on to create computer technology never before seen, or to build incredible vehicles, like airplanes. Telephone technology went into overdrive with satellite communications, making the whole world interconnected. Yes, America created the world in which we now live.
All of that because our ancestors dreamed about a better life, left their homes and settled in a wilderness, then refused to let the King come over and boss them around.
It is a truly amazing story and if we hadn't heard it over and over we would be amazed by it. Surely if it were a work of fiction by some author, say, James Michener, we would scoff at the improbability. But it really happened.
So bravo for this guy writing this. He shows what gratitude is, and how an immigrant more than any other can understand that Lady Liberty's torch means more than just more voters for Democrats.

Hillbilly Eulogy

Tucker Carlson has gone mad, really lost it, and J.D. Vance is being dragged down along with him.
I get it; Vance is friends with Carlson and Carlson was a huge factor in Vance windup up where he is. It's really hard to throw a friend overboard, even when that friend has gone batcrap crazy. It's admirable in a way. But it is a huge political mistake.
I have a lot of Jewish friends on Facebook and all of them are absolutely disgusted with Vance and won't be won back by his kowtowing to Carlson and his anti-Israel Judaphobia. Vance has probably lost all of the Jews, and any money they would have donated. While Jews are more often in the Democrat Party than the GOP, it is not an inconsiderable number of Jews who will now stay home if Vance is the nominee.
Unless Vance makes a big turnaround I'll have to support Amnesty Marco Rubio in the election (spit!) I had been pleasantly surprised by Vance, but that's waning. He's strting to show himself to be just what I feared.
If Vance wants a political future he's going to have to distance himself from the self-destructing Tucker Carlson (as should the rest of the GOP - Carlson is toxic). I know it may seem disloyal to him, and I wouldn't want to be in this position, but it's his only option to remain politically viable.
My hope is Ron DeSantis runs, or Ted Cruz. I can get behind those two guys. I hate having to support Little Marco but I may have to do it (he's been an excellent Secretary of State, but I don't trust him at the helm of the ship as he betrayed us once and a guy who will do that will do it again.)
We desperately need someone who will follow the same policies as Mr. Trump and won't try to make a "legacy" for himself by kowtowing to the Demo-Left as GOP Presidents so often do. That gets them good press but does not build a permanent legacy. Trump didn't do that and that's why history will probably treat him as a great man as opposed to a good one. Reagan was despised when he was in office too and now history admits his greatness. Nobody will argue either Bush was a great President. It's not just about popularity with the media.
Anyone who follows Trumpianism will succeed. Remember, Alexander wasn't the first great in Macedonia; his father Philip had turned his hillbilly barbarian land north of Greece proper into a great power, then Alexander took that and ran with it. Whoever follows Trump could do likewise BUT only if they follow a MAGA program and don't worry about what the media says.
Vance looked like such a prospect. But his flirtation with Carlson sure isn't looking promising.

Arguing with Idiots: Climate Issue (Again)

Below is my response to a polite climate alarmist on Facebook. I won't bother with the original portions of the post as they are covered in my reply. My reply is what is important because it cites solid evidence they can't repudiate:

As for losses in the WAIS, we now know there is considerable vulcanism under the ice sheet. Oh, and we know there are glacial quakes hitting the Antarctic Peninsula which also breaks off chunks of ice.
As for water vapor what goes up must come down. And more importantly what goes up generally forms clouds, yet the Earth's cloud cover has been dropping for decades now, which suggests that there is NOT more water vapor in the atmosphere. (In fact the drop in planetary albedo from the reduction in cloud cover explains much of the planetary warming we see). Thermal gradients and the like a grand sounding things but in the end there MUST be increased precipitation or more clouds.
It isn't increased precipitation; we've seen drowning deaths drop in the last twenty years, and we would see more of them if the weather was getting worse and we were having more flash floods.

There has been a modest increase in drowning deaths in the U.S. but the rest of the world has seen a decline, and drowning deaths in the U.S. can be attributed to population increase and people swimming where they ought not.
Climate Alarmists love to postulate positive feedback mechanisms and you do so here with claims the warmer air from carbon dioxide means more water vapor in the atmosphere. But again I say to you that what goes up must come down and furthermore an increase in cloud cover would act to cool the planet back down - just as it does on Mars when there is a dust storm (Mars is a big embarrassment to the alarmists as it has an atmosphere that is 95% carbon dioxide but the planet is colder than we should expect, mostly because the atmosphere is thin, but the atmosphere is thin because it is cold enough for the carbon dioxide to freeze into dry ice.)
The missing water vapor, lie the missing heat, is a real problem for the models. I would add the warming from carbon dioxide would show up as diurnal; it doesn't get as cool at night as it had. This shoots your theory about warming driving the water vapor into the upper atmosphere down.
One more thing; we've been pumping fossil water out of deep aquifers for some time now and that is water that was out of the hydrological cycle, yet we STILL see no increase in clouds or precipitation. BTW this fossil water should have a strong impact on the greenhouse effect as water vapor is the Earth's primary greenhouse gas.
Occam's Razor suggests that the lack of more precipitation and fewer clouds has nothing to do with CO2-driven warming but rather that the water vapor just isn't there. The simplest explanation is always the best - except, apparently, in climate science.
(There are a number of reasons why the cloud cover has reduced, some of which stem from artificial fire-suppression that has ended the really big wildfires, plus the war on pollution that reduced the amount of particulates in the atmosphere to help form clouds, to probably the Earth's axial tilt and a host of other things. Warming certainly isn't one of those factors.)
