Marry Your 11 Year Old Daughter off in the Girl Scouts

Timothy Birdnow

Join the Girl Scouts and get your merit badge in beheading!

How else do you recruit new wives for Muslim men? It's hard to find other 11 year old girls willing to walk down the aisle in a burkha like that.

Parents, if your house is lacking a few goats and some sheep now is the time! I'm sure you can get a fine dowry for your sixth grader.

And Their Number Shall Be Nine

imothy Birdnow

Mike "Not so Tiny after all" Johnson has scheduled a vote on a Constitutional Amendment to lock the Supreme Court in at Nine Justices and ONLY nine Justices.

He skipped regular procedure to avoid letting the bill languish in committee and force a vote. It will require two thirds to pass the House and then will unquestionably die in the Senate but it puts the Democrats on record - and the RINO Republicans.

The Supreme Court has had nine members since 1869 (the GOP shrank the court when Johnson was President to avoid him getting Justices who would side with him). Frankensteinevelt tried to pack the Court but SCOTUS prevented him, as it was in violation of the 1869 Judiciary Act.

The number is not set by the Constitution - that is the authority of Congress.

I wish that Johnson would tack on an amendment giving the Supreme Court enforcement mechanisms for the lower courts as we see lower courts regularly flipping them the bird. And I also wish there was a mechanism for removing Justices who have languished too long or are simply stupid (hear that K Brown Jackson). Maybe a retention vote, as in many states?

But that would muddy the waters and politically Johnson would be right to just concentrate on locking in the Nine.

This has zero chance of success, methinks, but who knows? It's still a politically astute move.

Farewell Charlie Brown

Timothy Birdnow

For decades women have told men they suck and blow and at the same time have refused to do likewise. They have used the male sex drive as a weapon of war to compel men to become their obedient little servants. They demanded to act like men, work like men, be treated like men, even while they often couldn't do those jobs or perform in that roll, but they didn't want to actually compete with men.

Yes, they got ahead, but mostly because corporations feared feminist boycotts but more importantly feared government coming down on them. So less qualified women climbed the ladder of success while the men got squat.

And "women of color" did the best of all.

At any rate, after years of hearing about "toxic masculinity" and being told to sit down and shut up men have done so - and are no longer pursuing women.

Now women are saying there are no good men out there. Wrong. There are plenty. They just aren't interested in YOU.

I recently had this argument with some gal on Facebook. She was imperious and snotty and then wondered why she can't find a man.

Anyway there is this from X:

Joseph
@Ainemba92293842
Men are no longer desperate for women.
And modern women are absolutely losing their minds over it.

For the first time in human history, the average man would rather be ALONE than be with the average modern woman.

And that single shift has collapsed an entire empire of female entitlement.
Men realized they were begging for crumbs of affection from women who bring nothing but chaos, bills, and body count to the table.

And now women are sitting in apartments at 28, 30, 32, with a cat, a wine glass, and a TikTok that says

Where have all the good men gone??
The men didn't go anywhere. They just stopped playing a rigged game where they have to be perfect and women get to be flawed and still be called a prize.
And that is what is driving women INSANE.

Indeed. Women counted on the male sex drive to control them (and through history it has, by and large, and women have often exercised great power by being married to important men. Look at Messalina, the wife of Emperor Claudius. Look at Catherine the Great - she became Empress by marrying the Tsar's son, whom she basically just pushed aside for power.) But they've gone too far now.

Homosexuals loved this and promoted feminism to swell their ranks. No men meant more women turning their flag, and women acting like men may have, in the hopes of the male homosexuals, gotten men to decide to quit putting up with the b.s. and join the party. And there were people in the Ruling Class who wanted this to reduce the surplus population; I read an essay once by Isaac Asimov, the great S.F. writer, who argued for more tolerance of homosexuality to help reduce population growth. This was back in the sixties, I believe, before Ehrlich and his ridiculous thesis on population. So this idea has been percolating through the Intelligentsia for some time.

Feminism was always a weapon to destroy families and help usher in the New World Order.

A great many women fell for it. Why not? They thought it empowered them and it seemed to for a time. But now the inevitable rebellion has come. Men are just not that into chicks anymore.

Oh, they will hook up. But a relationship? Fuggitaboutit.

So now women are forced to be both mother and father to children, and work their tails off both in the home (which they sought to escape for the "fun" of the working world) and at a mind-numbing, back breaking job.

And they have little hope of landing a man now. They made a very poor bargain.

They didn't realize how good they had it. Women of, say, the Great Depression had to wash clothes by hand, cook food from raw ingredients, darn socks, sew up torn clothing, even make clothes, cobble shoes, etc. It was far harder then. No microwave dinners, no frozen foods, no washing machines or vacuum cleaners or any such. And they had it good next to the pioneer women.

Also, the pioneer women and Depression gals didn't want to work at the jobs men had then - working in the coal mines or being a gandydancer putting in the train rails was brutal work and the men who did it sure weren't there for the fun of it. It really was the fifties, with the change in the labor market emphasizing white collar jobs, that led women to think men were out enjoying their lives while they suffered. But even white collar jobs suck, by and large, and they are mind-numbing while involving office politics, a disgusting and stressful work environment. I hated working in an office.

So feminism was built on a lie from the get-go but women ate it up.

I might add that women have always coveted men's roles. Eve usurped Adam's role as head of the family with that stupid fruit she insisted they eat (and no doubt Adam feared she would cut him off if he didn't) and after that, when handing out the punishment, God said of Eve in Genesis 3:16:

"I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;in pain you shall bring forth children.Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you."

What does that last mean? Bible scholars say it was a prophecy, that all women would not so much sexually desire their husbands as desire their ROLE just as did Eve, but mostly they wouldn't get it because they weren't made that way. God never intended that for them.

God never intended men to be the subservient partner, even though that is easier and the lazy found it desirable. But for both sexes it is woefully unfulfilling. God made us male and female. It is not a spectrum, no matter what the idiots who promote this "multiple genders" idea say.

Anyway feminism has destroyed the female and they are just now realizing what a trap they have stepped into. Men realize it too, which is why they are no longer playing the game. The game is rigged and most men are not Charlie Brown.

BTW I lucked out and got a traditional, good woman. But I dated a lot of these types before finding her.

Dems Won't Shut the Government Down

Timothy Birdnow

There will be no government shutdown before the midterms.

The Democrats seem to have realized that this will only hurt them.

With the rising socialism in the party the Democrats are seeking to make themselves appear reasonable. They have little choice; the public is seeing them increasingly as the crazy clowns they are. They have to hide this. Shutting the government down now would only reinforce that view of them.

Saving Hollywood is not MAGA

Timothy Birdnow

Donald Trump wants a tax credit for Hollywood in an amazingly myopic display of misguided MAGA.

After consulting with conservative actor Jon Voight President Trump decided to offer a tax credit to the Hollywood insider industry since Canada and others are doing the same. But it's foolish; Hollywood is in the position the American auto industry was in back in the seventies, putting out junk products and not responding to consumer demand. Competition from Toyota and Nissan and other foreign car makers forced the American auto industry to up their game. All this will do is enrich the fat cats in Hollywood who will double down on their woke DEI filmmaking.

This article emphasizes Canada and other overseas nations giving tax credits and thus having films made there, but if that is the problem the solution is obvious; other American states can do likewise and Trump's job should be to find places in the U.S. willing to offer incentives and tax breaks and encourage those. My home state of Missouri was making such a bid a while back. So too were a number of other states such as Georgia.

A while back I rewatched the television show Fringe. The producers of Fringe were lured to Canada by low taxes but were quickly disabused; they shot the pilot with a number of outdoor scenes and it was supposed to be summer on the show but it was 23* below zero outside. The cast nearly suffered frostbite. The crew were in heated tents as long as possible but it was simply unacceptable working conditions. That's what you get in Canada in winter - and the summers are just too short to shoot a full television series.

So why shouldn't, say, Virginia be a film hub, or Missouri? If you need beaches Texas is fine - and they have the Hill Country for mountains if you want those.

But California? Meh! Yes, it's lovely and you can find mountains within easy reach of the ocean, but all you get out of them is internationalist claptrap.

A lot of the problem too in California is that they tailor their movies and shows for export to China, who have strict censorship guidelines. You cannot make a movie with the Chinese as bad guys, for instance, and export it to China. You have to promote their values. So Hollywood, the Great Harlot, fills our movies and television shows with Chinese propaganda.

So that is the unholy trinity - China, Canada, and Hollywood. Saving Hollywood is like propping up the U.S.S.R.

Hollywood needs to fall of it's own weight. Other states need to fill the void.

And how will it fall if we prop it up? Mr. Trump needs to hand this to Congress to craft a bill that will favor other states over the Great Harlot. We need Texas movies, Florida movies, Missouri movies, Georgia movies. We do not need more propaganda out of Hollywood.

Slow Canada!

Timothy Birdnow

The crazy train keeps a-rollin' in Canada.

FTA:

Mark Carney’s Liberals swept three special elections Monday, and they did it by running against the United States.

They held Beaches-East York in Toronto and North Vancouver-Capilano in British Columbia.

They also flipped Chicoutimi-Le Fjord in Quebec, a Conservative seat since 2018.

The Associated Press said the elections helped to confirm Carney’s stand against President Donald Trump.

Carney said voters expressed trust in "our government’s plan.” Liberal MP Hedy Fry told CBC that America was "getting a message.”

Granted, these were special elections and we saw the Democrats pretty much sweep those here in the States too. The Left sinks all their money and effort into such to create the illusion they are the majority. The Conservative Party will do better in the general probably.

But of course "Conservative" in Canada is not MAGA, or Reaganite, but rather more like RINO Republican. They are a pale pastel which draws little interest. Gone are the bold colors needed to draw people.

Anyway we can sing "slow Canada" for our northern neighbors; they seem awfully dim in their electoral choices these days.

Is Trump to blame? To a degree; Canadians have one thing that they feel makes them Canadian and it's that they aren't Americans. The hold that thought tight to their back-baconed bosoms and Trump's trade dispute has them puffed up like angry Iguanas over it. So instead of putting in people who will try to work out a solution they are doubling down with the idiots who want to drive a permanent wedge between the two nations, and who will impoverish Canada further.

Being a leader means letting your personal feelings not guide your policy.

Trump is such a leader, contrary to what our liberal friends will say. He'll get into nasty fights with foreign leaders, or Democrats, or even RINO Republicans, but he'll praise them later. Look at how he defended, say, John Thune. Thune has done nothing but backstab him.

At any rate Mark Carney is an internationalist and elite snob and yet Canada is keeping him in power because he talks tough to America. That is poor motivation for a leader - and stupidity for a nation.

Echoes of Mangione

Timothy Birdnow

Oops they did it again!

FTA:

Erin Piacenti, 32, was a vice president in BofA's business selection and conflicts unit, according to her LinkedIn profile. The NYPD said that the suspect was a woman with a history of mental health issues.

"We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague. She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones," the U.S. banking giant said in an emailed statement to Reuters on Tuesday.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said on Monday in a press briefing that a woman carrying multiple large knives stabbed two people in Times Square before police used a Taser and fired their weapons.

BofA's Manhattan office is located a stone's throw from Times Square at One Bryant Park. The bank also has other financial centers across New York City, the heartbeat of the American financial system.

Piacenti sustained stab wounds in the incident and was later pronounced dead, the NYPD said. A 68-year-old male also sustained stab wounds and was in stable condition, it added.

I bet Momdani is covering this up. I wonder if this woman was not egged on by the ease with which Luigi Mangioni got away with murdering a Mortgage Bank Exec. Copycats are a real thing and this fairly reeks of Mangioni.

I wonder how much celebrating with the children of Occupy Wall Street will do openly over this with the elections coming?

How many more must die in the Left's unholy war against free markets?

America Disturbed by the Socialists

Timothy Birdnow

The Democrats have painted themselves into a political corner by embracing the Democratic Socialists into their party.

That is why we are increasingly hearing Democrats come out against them; they have internal polling showing they are losing this fight in a big way.

It's not that they don't like Socialism, it's that they know WE don't lie Socialism.

Anyhoo, here is the skinny on the subject:

WHAT HAPPENED: A majority of American voters are concerned about the growth of socialism and communism in the United States, according to a new poll.

DETAIL: According to a new poll by Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll, a recurring national opinion poll, 63 percent of Americans are concerned about the rise of socialism and communism in U.S. politics. Specifically, 36 percent are "very concerned” and 27 percent are "somewhat concerned.” Only 13 percent are "not at all concerned,” while 16 percent "aren’t too concerned.” The poll was conducted by Noble Predictive Insights and surveyed 2,533 registered voters across party lines, including 930 Republicans, 930 Democrats, and 673 Independents. This includes 330 "true independents,” i.e. registered Independents who do not lean towards either party. The poll was conducted between August 12 and August 16. The poll’s margin of error is +/- 2.0%. This follows a series of high-profile victories for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), a far-left political organization, and far-left candidates more broadly in Democrat primaries. Notably, the Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll, 49 percent of Democrats expressed concern about the rise of socialism, while 40 percent were not concerned.

KEY QUOTE: "The Democratic Party is becoming the party of socialism. Fifty-eight percent view socialism positively. 50 percent view capitalism negatively. I’m a proud free market capitalist. This is lunacy,” posted Senator Fetterman (D-PA) on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this month in reference to a similar poll, which revealed that Democrats have a more positive view of socialism than capitalism.

IMPACT: This poll highlights the growing influence of socialism and communism in the U.S. as advanced by groups like the DSA, as well as DSA-backed Democrats, and DSA-adjacent Democrats, such as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who officially re-joined the DSA earlier this month. This poll echoes previous findings published throughout the year. Back in July, it was revealed that one-third of Democrats now identify as democratic socialists. However, while it is clear that support for socialism and communism has grown within the Democratic Party, far-left ideologies remain widely unpopular. For instance, despite New York City’s election of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who is a member of the DSA, a poll published earlier this month found that only 30 percent of people in New York state support the organization.

(I love the National Pulse; they do bullet points and take just a few paragraphs to say what most articles would take pages to say. It's just the facts. Leaves me free to editorialize.)

There is a real chance we might crush the Donks in November. But don't count on that and stay home!

Medieval America

Timothy Birdnow

VDH nails it in his discussion about the Medeivalization of the modern world and the regressivism that is at the root of what we are doing.

I won't excerpt it; too many good points. You need to read it for yourself. But I will make a few observations of my own about how we are now in the new Middle Ages.

Serfdom was common during the Medieval period. Unlike slavery where a person is simply owned outright, a serf was technically not owned by his Lord but he still couldn't leave his job without permission and he had to give a percentage of what he earned to the Lord in return for said Lord's protection.

We have serfdom now. If someone comes here under a H1B visa they have to work for their employer and may not simply leave their job lest they be deported. They are serfs, bound to a protecting Lord. Oh, they may wear white shirts and ties to work rather than sackcloth but it is the same principle.

And, as in the Middle Ages, serfs drove the wages of free men down considerably as they worked for far less.

In fact during that period it was worse to be a free man than a serf and there is much literature singing the praises of serfdom over freedom. You had military protection from the Lord. You could go to his castle and hide when the Norsemen came. The Lord owed you fealty so if you had a crop failure and couldn't feed your family he would be obliged to send you welfare. If you had trouble with your neighbor he would adjudicate.

Sound familiar? Sounds very much like the Democratic Party of today.

And the Lords were forever seeking to expand their holdings, and often did so at the expense of the freemen who worked their own land. They would lend money to these small holding farmers at usurious rates and then foreclose on them - much like what we see corporations doing to small farmers in America today.

And there were endless rules and regulations coming down from the King and from the nobility which squeezed the independent merchants and farmers.

The Middle Ages was also a time of mass immigration, be it the Danes who invaded and settled in England or the English themselves - children of Anglos and Saxons who drove out the aboriginal Britons, driving them into the western mountains of Wales. You had Normans who came with the second sons of almost every country in Europe, who conquered and settled. Of course. These illegal aliens fundamentally transformed Britain from a Germanic kingdom into what it would become. An Englishman from the year 1000 wouldn't be able to make heads or tails of what we say and we wouldn't understand them either.

And during this period the Church owned much of the land and ran it for the benefit of Rome, just as now the government owns much of the land and runs it for the benefit of Washington.

It was a time of vast corruption, which ultimately led to the Protestant Reformation. Today we live in a society of vast corruption.

They also didn't understand wealth, thinking it was just precious metals and gems. Today we don't understand wealth, thinking it is just an idea and we can create it by printing money.

At any rate we are very much living in a modern Middle Age, and indeed we will be in a Dark Age as the technology slips away after the big collapse comes, which will be soon as the nations of the Earth are going to all go bankrupt in a few years.

Science will continue just as it did in the Medieval period but it will work differently. No more government funding (in the Middle Ages it was Church funding primarily).

And they had the Inquisition to enforce conformity with their doctrines just as we have DEI being enforced by Antifa and BLM and the Southern Poverty Law Center and the l like.

At any rate all I can see when I look at the Democrats are fat, drunken Feudal lords sitting on thrones and jesters in their silly costumes (think AOC or Ilham Omar) entertaining the hanger-on courtesans.

Welcome to Medieval America!

Yes, There is One True Faith

Timothy Birdnow

Christopher Chantrill pens a piece at American Thinker about the rise of Islam and modern thinking that starts out great, but he degenerates into a moral relativism that I find shocking from so lucid a thinker.

Moral relativism is what is killing our society.

In his article Chantrill states:

I say that there has never been a saving faith that has the answer to life, the universe, everything, and there never will, and I believe that the beginning of wisdom is to understand this, and yet to live your life in confidence and courage and faith that things will turn out all right. And if things don’t turn out well for you, maybe they will turn out well for your children. I believe that the source of all problems is the real Termptation: to reduce life to a single faith and diminish humans into obedient followers of a Great Leader, be he mortal or demonic or divine."

This after he correctly states that Islam and Leftism are faiths that people adopt to provide certitude to their chaotic lives.

Now I agree with this to a point, but again, he is advocating a kind of relativism that is the fundamental cause of what we are experiencing now. Relativism is what gives us "my truth" as opposed to an objective "The Truth". Relativism is what allows a man to shave his legs and put on a wig and call himself Nancy - and then play in the WNBA.

Chris complains about apocalyptic thinking, and he's got a point, but there are good things that come out of apocalyptic thinking. Many good Christians found salvation out of fear of the End Times, no question. It looms over all of humanity, just as does death. We don't like to think about death because we know it's coming for us but we will think about the apocalypse because it MAY happen, and in our lifetime, but it also may not.

It's not apocalypse doctrine that is the problem; it's human response to it.

The Muslims believe it's coming and that Islam will end triumphant and that dude who fell down the well will climb back out (the 12th Imam) and restore paradise. Jews believe in it too, even though Jews tend not to believe in Heaven or any of the Christian doctrines. They think the Messiah will come at the end and put them into a place of world power. (Actually they probably will be in a position of SPIRITUAL power as the last believers after the Great Tribulation has purged all the secular Jews.) Christians believe Christ will return as King and judge the unrighteous.

Secularists borrowed this from their religious neighbors because it was useful and they believe that, as Marx said, after socialism is triumphant the state will wither away and we'll all live in a paradise where it's share and share alike and you will own nothing and be happy forever. But that faith isn't even backed up by any sort of God, just the false god they created out of government.

I would argue one of these visions is right and the others wrong. I would further argue that even the ones who are right probably get some of it wrong. It's like science; different scientists can look at a thing with different theories and look for evidence to find out which one is correct. In the end the truth comes out. Newton believed light was composed of particles, Huygens thought it was a wave. Einstein combined the two and we now know light is composed of particles that move in a wave. I think the apocalypse is similar.

At any rate I think Chris is retreating to a relativism that is damaging to society and is what caused us to wind up in this predicament in the first place.

Nietzche argued that Wester philosophy and science would eventually die because it would begin challenging it's fundamental assumptions, that logic and reason and experimentation can explain reality. He was a nihilist, believing in nothing in the end. He went mad. But he wasn't wrong; that's exactly what science has now done - taken away our belief in a concrete reality and now everyone is a god unto himself, blessed be my name! Well, it's a lonely and pretty miserable thing to be a god. That is best left to the expert. Don't try that at home kids!

Chris is right in that the way we should live our lives is in accepting uncertainty - that is trust in God. But being uncertain in our lives does not equate being uncertain in our faith, in who we are and what we believe. That way lies ennui and destruction.

Islam and Leftism are flip sides of the same coin; they are both aspects of the rebellion against Christ and both have their roots in Christianity. Islam was nothing but a rewarming of a number of heresies that were suppressed by the Orthodox Church and the Byzantine Empire. It was composed of Manicheans, Mithraists, Arians, and other heretical sects that promoted heretical doctrines. Muhammed gave them a way to force their views on the majority and I do mean force. And it's goal was always to break traditional Christianity (and along with it Judaism, which they may hate even worse because it is older and they knew Islam was an upstart).

Leftism was likewise. Many of the 17th century philosophe's were haters of Christianity, which they believed was just a fairy tale which kept societal progress retarded. It is claim, for instance, that David Hume said on his deathbed that his one regret was that he hadn't destroyed Christianity. This while the man was about to meet his maker.

The 19th century was an age of rebellion and there were revolutions everywhere, across Europe and in the Americas. The French were particularly egregious and they had the "cult of reason" featuring a nude prostitute and had people dressed as monks and nuns marching along behind her. There was a real hatred for all things Christian.

It was against this backdrop that Jean Jacques Rousseau wrote his The Social Contract in which he advocated making the People, the collective will replace God and the State replace the church. Both Fascism and Communism were born in this. Communism simply focused less on the national aspects while Fascism emphasized the quasi-spiritual mysticism of the People. But they both came from the same poisoned tree.

And they continued to grow ever since. Islam is their brother in the spirit of rebellion, no question, and that is why the two are kissing cousins today.

But it's all ultimately a rebellion against Christ ans His Church. Nothing more.

It is interesting to note that the LIberal movement was born in the 18th century, on the heels of the Protestant Reformation. It was, shall we say, the afterbirth. Protestantism rebelled against the Catholic Church (and for good reason - the Catholic Church had grown very corrupt) and the Liberals just took the next logical step. The Protestants showed them how to do it, how to use propaganda and the printing press and other such tools. I am not dissing Protestantism (as I said, there were good reasons) but Protestantism succeeded by using techniques that the Left would eventually adopt and improve upon.

Islam has learned from them and is using the same tactics and their are growing because they offer what is lacking in modern Christianity - fire in the belly. Most people don't care about Christianity anymore because it's so milquetoast and boring and lifeless. It is that way because the upper echelon in the Church thinks that is what will draw in people, not offending anyone. They are the perfect enablers for DEI and the other crazy stuff coming out of the Left because they prefer friendship with the world to obedience to God.

At any rate Christianity is the Diet Coke of religions - just one calorie. At least that is true these days in the mainline churches.

But it is the true path for a variety of reasons. Don't understand it? You aren't supposed to; how can you understand a God who created everything but understand the faith dedicated to Him? Think the Trinity doesn't make sense? Why should it? Don't like the fact Jesus got beat to a pulp then executed? Why should God Himself not suffer as do we? The other faiths are just rewarmed human ideas about earthly things. Islam is about sexual lust and food and enjoying life and fighting. That is the kind of religion a human being creates - not God.

At any rate I think Chris misses the boat at the end of this. We have to understand there is a true and false, right and wrong. Dismiss that at your peril.

How We Got Here

Timothy Birdnow

I wrote this in response to a post by a Facebook friend but I lost his post before I could pop this up. Oh well; I'll post it here:

For two hundred years Christianity was attacked by the forces of the Left and it retreated from the onslaught of modernity. Free love, which was a reaction to Victorian prudishness, eventually led to the sexual revolution as new technology made pregnancy appear less likely (given the number of out-of-wedlock births since one must dispute that belief) and so sexual mores of any kind simply disappeared in the rush to orgasm anywhere and any time. Automobiles made it easy for youths to escape the arms of their parents and, coupled with the rise of new cultural ideas gleaned from the integration of society and the rise of new media like transistor radios picking up FM a whole new culture was born, sex and drug-riddled and in stark opposition to traditional Judeo-Christian values.

This was the revolution in society the Left had long dreamt of. Their previous efforts to remake society in places like Russia had failed because socialism is a gangster economic and political system and it destroys wealth.

Of course the Soviets encouraged the rising libertinism in the West because they knew it would destroy our culture.

Well, they fell apart first but we're not too far behind them. Everyone is living for today and letting tomorrow worry about tomorrow. And the Christian faith (and the more conservative Jewish) is a feckless, impotent institution now, more worried about their tax exempt status than about actually speaking the Truth. Most churches are. Few actually believe anymore and there is a vacuum.

Nature abhors a vacuum. Islam is stepping into that.

The Left had hoped their socialist ideology would offer the spiritual sustenance people seek and it has to a large degree - that's why so many young people are on board the socialist crazy train. But Islam does likewise and Islam offers something Socialism can't - eternal life. Or so it promises.

Christianity offers that too but Christianity is so Boomer in the young minds, such old man stuff. And they are right; the churches hardly ever talk about anything important. That's why Traditional Catholicism, for instance, is the only branch that is growing; they offer fire and brimstone, solid, meaty, hot faith. The Novus Ordo Church (as the Traditionalists call it) is pale and weak and whiney.

Our current dilemma is caused by the power vacuum left by the decline of Christianity. There is an empty hole where in people's hearts.

That's why Mussolini invented Fascism; to put a spiritual spin on politics. Fascism appeals to the spiritual nature of Man and offers a competing vision to Christianity. The People are God and the government the Church. But it is unsatisfactory and in the end it failed, although the modern Left is chock-full of Fascist spirituality.

So you are dead right; the vacuum left in our society had to be filled by something, and that something is a very, very bad thing indeed.

Iceland Votes to Not Restart E.U. Talks

Timothy Birdnow

Iceland says to the E.U. (in their best Elaine voice from Seinfeld) GET OUT!

Given the restrictive draconian regulations of the E.U. why would anyone want to be a member?

NATO I can understand; you get military protection. But the E.U.? If Iceland were to join they would come in and tell the Icelanders how much fish they could catch or how much fleece they could make from sheep and how much they could charge for wool.

I am surprised though; as crazy as Iceland is I didn't think they had the good sense to see a bad deal when it bit them.

The James Gang

Timothy Birdnow

Here is the smoking gun showing Letitia James targeted people and used lawfare rather than prosecuted criminal acts because they were crimes.

Yes, James' office instructed prosecutors to go after anyone even remotely associated with Trump.

When is this puta going to face justice? There has to be a way to move any charges and her trial out of that shithole New York.

Ugh Canada: Canucks Threaten Shutting Down St. Lawrence Seaway

Timothy Birdnow

The Canadians are going nuts. They now want to shut down the St. Lawrence Seaway to U.S. traffic.

As Tyler Durden observes:

Whatever may have happened to convince Carney to walk away from the best tariff deal that was offered to any country, the aftermath has stirred plenty of Canadian citizens into a hostile frenzy. One is reminded of Scrappy Doo, yipping and yapping and nipping at the heals of a much larger opponent in the delusion that this will accomplish something.

In the meantime, 33% of Canada's GDP relies on exports and 78% of those exports rely on US markets. Furthermore, there are no practical alternatives. Without a near-term deal with the US, Canada faces severe recession, or worse. Canadian officials and the public have not yet come to accept this reality. They have been busy conjuring ways to "hurt" the US, but these tactics are based on an ignorance of the bigger picture.

For example, Canadian officials recommended shutting off electric supplies to the US eastern seaboard. However, Canada provides less than 1% of all US electricity. Meaning, they have no leverage.

They also called for a shutdown of oil exports to the US, but the US is a net exporter of oil and the largest oil producer in the world. Going without Canadian oil would cause prices to rise, but it would not do the kind of damage they are hoping for. Trump's latest landmark deal with Venezuela will mitigate any potential supply disruptions from Canada.

Plus, 70% of Canadian oil traveling from Alberta to Ontario uses pipelines that cross into US territory (the Enbridge Mainline). It would be a disaster for them to escalate.

This brings us to the newest ingenious idea from Canadian leftists, which is to shut down US access to the St. Lawrence Seaway from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. Or, increase tolls to crippling levels at the various Canadian controlled locks.

Crazy Canucks. Don't they realize we can do that to? We could blockade the Seaway at it's mouth. Is the Canadian navy going to sink our ships? With their mighty navy of 25 warships?

But it doesn't stop there; we could deny Canadians access to the Panama canal. I wonder how they'd like having to round the Horne or go all the way through Suez.

Canada has a limited number of ports on the mainland while we have a lot of them. They are more vulnerable than are we.

And the seaway goes through canals on U.S. soil as well.

FTA:

There is a problem with this plan, though. First, Canada already charges tolls at these locks and has done so for decades.

On the other hand, the US also controls at least two locks on the same waterway which Canadian ships use regularly. The US government waived collection of tolls on the seaway back in 1986. Meaning Canada is the only country that collects tolls, but this could be easily changed. If Canada tried to charge higher tolls or block access, the US could to do the same, and the US has the actual military resources to enforce such measures.

By extension, if Canada tried to initiate a wider resource war against the US, their oil pipelines going through the US could be cut off. Once again, Canada simply has no economic leverage. The sooner they accept this, the sooner they can avoid a painful economic decline.

And if it comes to pipeline shut-downs it may well see Alberta quit the Dominion and join the United States; they can ill afford such a disruption of their economy.

So good luck to scrappy Doo-right here. This will blow up in their donut-eating faces!

Two Bag Jackson-Brown

Timothy Birdnow

With a puss like hers why wouldn't she?

Not to be outdone Kathy Ho-kul covered her coyote ugly facewith a hijab.

Why are liberal Democratic women in such a hurry to cover their faces? Why did Adam and Even cover themselves with fig leaves? Something to hide.

Republicans Panicking Over Polls

Timothy Birdnow

I caught this - Sen. John Kennedy was warning we may lose in the Texas Senate race if there isn't a large infusion of cash.

Speaking on Fox News Kennedy said the cupboard is bare and there is a desperate need for cash going into the home stretch in the race between Republican Ken Paxton and James "the Nutty Pastor" Talarico.

Talarico has seriously outraised Paxton.

But what Kennedy didn't tell us is that the Republican National Committee has not given one thin dime to Paxton. They are angry he beat out their buddy Cornhole, er, Cornyn and so want him to fail. Then when he loses they will say "we told you he couldn't win" when he could have and would have had they given him any support at all.

At any rate what has Sen. Kennedy's panties in a bunch is a Real Clear Politics poll showing Paxton losing - and the GOP losing in eight other battleground states.

I've long warned about the polls at this point in time and in fact have another article about their uselessness and bias below. But the RCP poll is especially egregious because it is a compilation of polls and it includes obviously partisan polling in it's statistical group.

Don't believe this. These polls are way oversampling Democrats right now, most of whom sit at home and answer phone surveys, unlike their working Republican counterparts.

These polls are going to change as the election draws near.

But Kennedy is right to call for help; we can't take anything for granted or the Revolution is over. If the Democrats take control of either chamber of Congress then there is no hope of legislatively changing anything at all and the swing votes in the GOP become more important than ever (jerks like Lisa Murkowski). We need every seat we can get. And Texas is absolutely a must. Plus Paxton will be a great Senator, as good as Ted Cruz.

So send Paxton or any other Republican the money (don't send it to the RNC) and get out and vote!

Gruesome Newsom Implements Sharia, Dhimmitude in California

Timothy Birdnow

Gavin Nuisance Newsom is going full Muzzie as he prepared to perform the clear act of Dhimmitude and sign legislation making two Muslim religious days state holidays.

THIS is what the Gruesome Newsom wants for the whole of America - Sharia law.

If Noose-'em wants to live under Sharia he should move to the UAE or some such. This is America.

BTW does he give Christians Good Friday off? Christmas, yes, but that's as much a secular holiday as a religious one. (For the record I checked and Christians are forced to work on Good Friday - the holiest day in all of Christendom.)

What a hypocritical POS.

Poll Dance

Timothy Birdnow

Writing in American Thinker J.R. Dunn looks at the preposterous nature of the polls and how they cheat to steal elections.

I've long made this same, self-evident argument but it bears repeating. Dunn quotes a new study showing how the polls are way out there in the summer months, only to tighten near the end to not lose their credibility.

Dunn rightly argues this is to depress Republicans, who watch these polls with despair. And while he doesn't make this argument I do; it's to create a bandwagon for those who haven't yet chosen a side. All the cool kids are doing it!

The polls were and remain a tool for the Left to manipulate the voters. They have no intention of actually reflecting public opinion.

My wife worked as a pollster and when she took the job she thought it was to get an accurate survey. She was quickly disabused of that notion.

In fact, she was supposed to encourage voting and she had a call at 6:59 on election night and her boss jumped in "we can get you to the polls" and he dispatched a driver. That seven O'clock closing time didn't matter!

The point is they were all Democrats at her place of employment and their job was not about finding out what people thought but in converting them or encouraging them to get out and pull that lever for the D.

And so many, especially the intellectual wing of the GOP, falls for it every time, like Charlie Brown and that football.

Polls are lies - always remember that. They are there to dispirit you and to manipulate you. Remember you are not alone and not going to lose.
