Arguing with Idiots Covid Edition II

My argument with a COVID Alarmist continues:
Peter says:
Sweden has had 1,100% more deaths than next door Norway, and statistics are an only one useful basis for for assessment.

I reply:
That is very sneaky of you Peter LeMay; Sweden's death toll is below many other European countries. You use Norway because you need a group that makes it look like Sweden is terrible. Well, how about comparing Sweden to Britain? Or Norway to Britain, for that matter? The fact is Sweden has a lot of immigrants and a lot of people who were overseas - and one of the main spots they went to last year was Italy.Sweden also has a high number of people in nursing homes and an aging population. Despite all that they are now down to near zero death rate. Why? And as for "don't hail it as a success" methinks they doth protest too much.But again, the point is Sweden has had no higher rates than most of the rest of Europe and they didn't destroy their national economy or freeze civil liberties to do it. And now we see a drop to near zero deaths - something the rest of Europe is nowhere near achieving. Granted, Sweden is going to still have some for a while since their national borders are quite porous and a lot of immigrants will probably catch it. But so what? They won't be any worse off. That Business Insider article made a lot of noise but it never really laid a glove on the actaul strategy (which it tried mightily to do).
