Biden Hates America

Warner Todd Huston

Biden policy allows millions of illegals without masks, without ID, and without vaccines, and often riddled with COVID to fly and be bused all across the country to be dumped in our cities... but for citizens he wants us restricted to our houses, forced to wear masks everywhere, and take vaccines despite the 99 percent recovery rate after having the virus. And then he claims he is the COVID warrior.

The only conclusion is that Biden hates American citizens.

The Death of Common Sense

This from Chester McAteer:

It's happened before, but never on the scale it is happening today...common sense has become uncommon. Despite some exceptions, common sense was generally practiced and shared to a large degree within society, but for some inexplicable reason that common glue has deteriorated and for the life of me I can't put my finger on the actual cause. I do, however, have the gut-feeling that it's serious and ultimately dangerous.

It's as though an odd way of thinking has infiltrated the minds of many, eradicating the ability to not only think rationally, but to even recognize rational thinking or common sense. There is almost a crumbling of the most basic common rules that we, as a society, once held in common and we no longer seem to share or even experience in the same way.

This is a time of apparent confusion, a haze of darkness seems to cover the horizon, hopelessness creeps into the minds of many while looking for someone to save them from all that they fear. Again, I can't really explain what's happening but I've been getting the sense of it for well over a decade.

As I said, it is dangerous for a large portion of the population to lose the direction that a shared common sense provides; it is at such times that people accept absurdities, they are moved by the mentality of the hive rather than as rational individuals. During periods such as this people look for the wrong saviour, and accept anything that offers a glimmer of hope. During such periods totalitarianism easily takes root as is evident in the past, for people misplace their faith and grasp for anything that sounds plausible even if it's not. Be wary of the unseen, that's where unscrupulous power-seekers lurk, be ever-aware the intricacies of deception being employed to push society toward a destination that, as the past demonstrates, will be inhumane and dystopian.

Tim adds:

Government run education and the radicalization of higher education is largely to blame. What people would believe if they were uneducated or were educated with a neutral political/social/philosophical approach (as is true in many private schools) doesn't kill common sense.

There is actually a war on common sense by the Left, since it is the biggest obstacle to overcome before they can implement their insane ideas. Couple that with the obscene wealth in modern society which makes it possible for the young to not face harsh realities or have to accept responsibility and we have the perfect storm. The young seem to live in a dream world where everything just magically appears. They are angry because some have more then do they, and their solution is the one provided by their teachers - socialism.

As has been attributed to Chesterton "when a man stops believing in God he doesn't believe in nothing, he believes in anything". That is another cause of the loss of common sense; we've pretty much rejected our old Christian and Jewish beliefs (which included such things as Natural Law, the existence of a concrete reality independent of the individual, and the assumption that truth is knowable and independent of the observer) and have replace that with a kind of nihilistic agnosticism where the State is the new Church and the end result is there can be no common sense; everyone's internal meanderings are as good as any external observable phenomenon.

So nobody questions when a guy in a dress says he's named Chelsea and is actually a nine year old schoolgirl, even though he's fifty years old with a beard. There can be common sense under such conditions.

Congress Banned from Visiting Detainees from Capitol Riots

Timothy Birdnow

Matt Goetz and other Congressmen were refused entry into the prison housing the detainees from the January sixth Capitol riots.

So Congress may not investigate their treatment in Federal custody.

This is not America; it's as bad as the Soviet Union.

It was also said a lawyer for one of the detainees was not allowed access either.

The American republic is fallen. We now live in post-America.

May those who did this to our country rot in Hell.

No India Strain Emergency

This from James Hatem:

Interesting data coming out of the UK where 95% of current covid infections are the delta variant. The numbers in the table are only for people who were treated in emergency rooms from Feb.1, 2021 onward. The original alpha strain accounts for most deaths with a cfr of 1.9%. The delta variant had a cfr of 0.1%. What is most important is that this is for people who were so sick they ended up at an emergency room. Since most people infected are asymptomatic or were mildly ill and self-treated at home, these cfr values are anywhere from 2 to 4 times inflated from the whole infected population. Delta is NOT dangerous. Link to the government report is in the first comment.

Centers for Disease Confusion

Selwyn Duke

https://www.selwynduke.com/2021/07/does-cdc-stand-for-centers-for-disease-confusion.html

A man on the street wouldn’t think to define a human being as three-fifths of a person, but this was the language that emerged when Southern slaveholding states and Northern abolitionists negotiated slave status for congressional representation. For politics doesn’t just make strange bedfellows; it draws strange conclusions. Its scientific conclusions are no exception.

STL County Health Czar Flips Off Voters

Timothy Birdnow

Recently I wrote about the Lawlessness of St. Louis County Executive Sam Page and his refusal to both follow state law banning his edict forcing Covid masking and his dismissal of the St. Louis County Council's 5 to 2 decision to not reimpose a mask mandate. Well, this story keeps getting better and better.

Now the Health Nazi Czar in St. Louis County - Faisal Khan - refused to answer questions put to him by the board and flipped off the voters who tried to ask him questions.

First, the board wanted to know if he was accredited in the U.S. as a physician, a question Khan refused to answer.

Then Khan claimed he was "assaulted" by spectators and called racial slurs.

But all St. Louis County board meetings are on Youtube and so there is a clear video available, not to mention that everyone in that meeting had a cell phone.

So where is the video evidence showing any of this? And why has Dr. Khan not filed a police report?

It is, of course, illegal to file a false police report.

Here is the letter Khan wrote to the Council Chair Rita Heard Days:

Dear Chairwoman Days,

I appreciated the opportunity to share the latest data, scientific research, and public health advice with the County Council last night. As I mentioned in my letter on Monday, the latest public health order regarding masks is an important disease transmission mitigation strategy necessary to slow the spread of the coronavirus, especially as the much more contagious Delta variant is now the dominant variant in Missouri and in our region. As Director of the Department of Public Health, it is incumbent upon me to offer the best public health guidance I can, and that is what I endeavored to do last night.

After completing my medical training, I chose to focus my work on public health. I have committed myself — over my entire 25-year career — to improving health status indicators for entire communities, particularly in the most vulnerable segments of society. I have worked to improve public health around the world, working in Australia, Vietnam, Pakistan, South Africa, the People's Republic of China, Zimbabwe, Botswana and the United States (West Virginia, Massachusetts and Missouri). I have been a proud citizen of the United States since 2013.

In all that time and in all those places, I have never been subjected to the racist, xenophobic, and threatening behavior that greeted me in the County Council meeting last night. My time before the Council began with a dog-whistle question from Councilman Tim Fitch, who said he wanted to emphasize for the assembled crowd that I was not from this country. As you know — and as Mr. Fitch surely knew since he was the crowd's leader — the great majority of the people in the raucous crowd appeared to be from the "MAGA” movement, as evidenced by their "Trump 2024” chants. The MAGA movement is well-known for xenophobia and discriminatory treatment of racial minorities and has engaged in violent acts against government institutions like in our nation's capital on January 6.

I later saw that around the time that Mr. Fitch asked his question, his friend Mark McCloskey — who was seated right behind me and situated near Mr. Fitch's position on the dais — posted on social media that mask mandates are "un-American.” One cannot help but see the connection between the efforts of Mr. McCloskey and Mr. Fitch to stoke xenophobia against me. I'm sure you are aware that Mr. McCloskey — like Mr. Fitch — is a well-known MAGA movement figure.

In line with Councilman Fitch's incendiary comments and Mr. McCloskey's social media post, several audience members then started mocking my accent while I was presenting to the Council. I heard people doing their impersonation of Apu, a caricature character from The Simpsons television show that mocks people from South Asia such as myself.

While I was presenting my analysis of COVID-19 to the Council, two politicians (Mr. McCloskey and Paul Berry) seated right behind me consistently berated me and tried to distract me from my presentation. When I asked you to intervene to prevent Mr. McCloskey and Mr. Berry from interfering with my presentation, you lectured me — not them. Such demeaning treatment was surprising to me, as I had heard that you were sensitive to issues of race and treating people equitably.

After my presentation was completed, I tried to leave the chamber but was confronted by several people who were in the aisle. On more than one occasion, I was shoulder-bumped and pushed. As I approached the exit and immediately outside the chambers, I became surrounded by the crowd in close quarters, where members of the crowd yelled at me, calling me a "fat brown cunt” and a "brown bastard.” After being physically assaulted, called racist slurs, and surrounded by an angry mob, I expressed my displeasure by using my middle finger toward an individual who had physically threatened me and called me racist slurs.

Political operatives — and even Mr. Fitch himself — have sought to use my instinctive reaction as political fodder against me. I would like to think that I would not react like that because it risks creating a distraction from what should be a consensus around masking and vaccines. I have to say, however, that when faced with the racist vitriol that Councilman Fitch has been privately and publicly stoking against me since my appointment, I cannot say I am sorry.

I remain open and willing to brief the Council on public health issues dealing with COVID-19 and the other important challenges we face in public health in St. Louis County. I simply ask that you take appropriate steps to investigate these matters, prevent similar events from happening in the future, and ensure that a safe and orderly environment be created for any future testimony me or my staff are asked to provide to the Council.

Sincerely,
Faisal Khan, MBBS, MPH
Director

You see how that worked; Khan blamed "MAGA" types when in fact the County Council is run by Democrats. Rita Heard Days - who Khan complained reprimanded him - is a Democrats.

And take a look at Khan's picture on the Riverfront Times link to his letter; does Khan in any way look "brown"? Does it seem even remotely likely they would call him a "brown Cee U Next Tuesday"?  The man is whiter in complexion than I am.

No, it's pretty clear he figured the right buttons to push to protect his career. "MAGA" and "Xenophobia" and the old tried and true "Racist" were liberally sprinkled in Khan's letter, as we knew they would be.

Again, if he was physically assaulted he could file a complaint with the County Police.

Faisel Khan is pretty clearly a liar.

See the video of the meeting here.

Khan wants to not be held accountable for his actions during this pandemic and his arrogance.

Simone Biles was on Adderal

From Dr. Roy Spencer:

Performance-enhancing drugs in sports:

There is an aspect of the Simone Biles controversy in the Tokyo Summer Olympics that I just learned of... Simone had been using Adderall for years, with a medical exemption for ADHD, and that its use was disallowed for the Tokyo Olympics. This med is widely used to improve concentration and alertness in sports, college, and in the general population (I can attest to its effectiveness).I suspect that Simone had become dependent on it for top performance, and she got psyched out over not having it available in Tokyo. IMO, the old sex abuse story is a diversion (not that it didn't happen, only that it did not play a major role in her decision to drop out... this is just my suspicion)....if I am demonstrably wrong about this, I apologize in advance and will take this down.

adderal has become a popular drug for athletes trying to gain an edge

I really couldn't care less about this story until this bit of interesting news. Frankly, I have little use for the Olympics. I have plotted for years the dousing of the torch as it passes, and in my fantasies I completely extinguish in numerous ways. Ahhh...

And I've found a compatriot in my niece, who is equally eager to snuff the torch!

So my Olympian vision is pretty much limited to that and I really haven't cared about this story. But I find it interesting to learn there is potential drug issues here.

I do think everyone should lay off the girl. She admitted she couldn't do something, and that takes bravery. Too often today mediocres believe they are gods and that there are no limits to what one can achieve. It's a form of hubris infecting modernity. We all have limits and need to accept them. I'm never going to win a beautiful body contest, for instance. At least not unless I'm entered into a beauty pageant where my chief competitor is the Elephant Man.

It also interests me that the the U.S. has been holding 3 million dollars from the World Anti-Doping Agency pending reforms to end corruption. How many athletes have been competing while chemically enhanced?

ADDENDUM:

Dr. Spencer observes:

So, according to the latest information (in the last 18 hours) it appears that she is permitted to take her med(s) at the Olympicshttps:/

Kowtowing to China

Timothy Birdnow

The Chicoms are flailing and just insulted the U.S. Ambassador.

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/17605/china-ambush-american-diplomat?fbclid=IwAR3mHGYubzLUngeOR4E-L1VNijfZyteZTM7qs1_nLunwKOAzYwVM79cLQ8A

Of course now is the time to go after them - hard. But Biden, who enjoys lucrative contacts with the Chinese, will simply nod and perhaps try to order some Mushu Pork.

It breaks my heart; Trump's policies were squeezing the Chinese and had we continued we may well have forced Xi out and a more small l liberal government in. But Biden is a China Doll, bought and paid for, and he will do nothing outside of their interests. Our interests don't matter to him overmuch.

Tyranny in St. Louis County

Timothy Birdnow

St. Louis County is run by Democrats. You must understand that to understand the rest of this story. The Democrats took the County over after decades of Republican control about 15 years ago, and they have systematically run it into the ground.

After the last County Executive was sent to prison for "pay to play" schemes, the current Executive was elected. His name is Sam Page and he's a medical doctor, so he has naturally thrilled at the authority he was able to usurp during the Pandemic.

St. Louis County had removed the masking mandate a few weeks ago, and now with the so-called "Delta Variant" aka the India strain, Page is back telling us all what we are going to do whether we like it or not.

The public was outraged when he unilaterally reimposed the masking mandate.

And they told their representatives on the county council about it, who voted 5 to 2 to rescind the mandate.

Page simply flipped the bird, saying the council has no authority and HE does!

Worse, the State of Missouri passed a law against this very thing, and now Page and his black shadow Tishuara Jones (mayor of the City of St. Louis) say they will simply ignore state law and the county council and enforce it anyway.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmidt has filed suit to stop the power-mad County Executive and the lickspittle Jones.

The county council needs to draft articles of impeachment against Page.

Jones goes along with whatever Page wants. St. Louis has an odd arrangement; it is a "free city" and as such has been it's own county since the 1870's, when the prosperous urban area tired of supporting the rather poor rural county. But now white flight and suburbanization along with 73 years of total power by the Democrats  has left the City half empty and bankrupted. The powers that be want an anschluss with St. Louis County and Jones is playing the good subordinate to Page in order to make that happen. St. Louis County voters have rejected this motion in the past as have City voters.

The neighboring counties - Jefferson, Franklin, and St. Charles - did not impose the draconian measures that Page implemented. And none of these counties did any worse than either the City or St. Louis County. In fact they did better.

St. Charles county has a population density as high as St. Louis County, I might add, yet came through better without a mask mandate or other restrictions.

St. Charles county is run by Republicans.

But Sam Page refuses to accept the will of his own council, the will of the State of Missouri, and the will of the People. He is a classic tyrant.

There was a time he would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town. Or at least would have been challenged to a fistfight. But not now, and Page hides behind his control of the police to enforce his evil will.

There need to be consequences for these tinhorn dictators. Jail time.

I don't know how America ever allowed this to happen. But it's time we put a stop to it.

Greenland Gain and Loss

This from Frank Lasee:

Yep. Yet the spinners will spin. Ice bergs happen when glaciers grow over the water.

When glaciers melt, they retreat from the edges and ice bergs don’t happen. Ice bergs are floating ocean fertilizers.

Scott Rose

Record mass loss on Greenland yesterday! But wait... where did the loss occur? It’s all along the coast. So what does it mean when you have 6 record gain events on the interior of Greenland and 1 record loss events at the coast? It means that the system is saturated. The snow and ice are getting pushed down the hill into the ocean.

Tim adds:

I always made that case about the West Antarctic Ice Sheet as well. East Antarctica was experiencing record growth and it was natural it would push WAIS out into the Ocean. But it was supposedly global warming, despite the fact Antarctica is below zero almost the entire year.

Hudson Bay the Key to Ice Ages?

This from Richard Cronin:

Hudson Bay is a known "hot spot”. When the warmth below Hudson Bay declined (GeoReactor cycled down) , the Laurentide ice sheet formed, extending down into the present day U.S.

Northern Ontario and Quebec also possess large deposits of Iron. The mechanisms described by researchers from the University of Alberta state that: "our results show that the fluids that form iron oxide-apatite deposits are sourced by a very particular process: melting of limestones and/or salt deposits by injection of magma,”

Pelosi Masking the House

This from James Hatem:

That evil, tyrannical, witch of a house speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has ordered all members of congress to wear face masks. Why? In the last two weeks in all of Washington, DC (population 700,000) the number of people who have died WITH covid is........wait for it.......TWO. Both were elderly and with comorbidities. Wicked Nancy is just in a virtue signalling tantrum. The good news is that some house republicans are starting to push back and there is a minor revolt taking place.

Tim adds:

It's to reinforce her authority and to make the Republicans dance on her string. They should show up sans mask and make the Seargant-at-Arm

s bodily remove them from the chamber.

Actually, I gather the opposition can declare the Speakership vacant and the GOP ought to do that to Pelosi. The motion wouldn't pass but it would tie up House business for a day or two and embarass Pelosi. And they may even get a Democrat to vote for her removal.

The Warranton Declaration

This from E. Calvin Beisner:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Warrenton, Virginia – June 23, 2021

A group of pastors have collaborated to create the "Warrenton Declaration on Medical Mandates, Biblical Ethics, and Authority.” The declaration was released Wednesday, June 23, 2021, and the "Initial Signers” are made up of mostly pastors across the United States.

According to the statement website, the declaration was created "in order to provide doctrinal clarity and coherence on issues of biblical authority and ethics related to medical mandates.” Further, the declaration’s purpose is to "equip local churches and their officers in providing transparency on where they stand and to assist individuals who are being mistreated in their churches with a well-ordered summary of belief in this regard.”

The Preamble of the statement describes the reasoning for the urgent need of the declaration saying, "With the rise of COVID-19 and all of the attendant ramifications, it has been incumbent upon the church to come to terms with what it believes related to the intersecting areas of biblical ethics, authority, and medical mandates.” Furthermore, chief concerns are said to be that churches have "defaulted to almost reflexively acquiescing to whatever government health agency statements are made and the policies they put in place” and that pastors "often become little more than mouth pieces for government health agencies and are then used by these same agencies to help carry out their bidding.”

The statement lays out two broad sections, first a section on authority which describes the Warrenton Declaration’s perspective on Christian responsibility in submitting to government, and in the second section, it makes application to the issue of medical mandates. The statement takes a strong stand against civil governments overstepping what is said to be their bounds of authority with relation to issues like mask wearing and vaccination and asserts the role of the individual and the family as the true authority responsible for decisions in these areas.

An appeal is made to churches and pastors to make clear where they stand on these issues, and for Christians to discuss these issues in their churches rather than staying silent.

The Warrenton Declaration allows those who agree to show their support by signing the statement. The statement can be read by visiting www.WarrentonDe claration.com

Pediatric Covid

This from James Hatem:

Since this pandemic began, almost18 MONTHS ago, a total of 219 pediatric deaths have been attributable to covid. That averages out to about 12 per month. During the peak times of a typical flu season ,which usually last 10-14 WEEKS, about 50 children each month die from the flu. Each flu season is not identical, of course, but during the 2012 flu season,1161 children died! Do we close down schools each flu season? Do we make children wear masks each flu season? Swamp Gators

From Richard Cronin:

Jimmy Carter established the Senior Executive Service (SES). It numbers about 10,000 top individuals and includes political appointees as well as tenured, unelected "civil servants” like Robert Mueller, Christopher Wray, and James Comey.

https://www.federalpay.org/ses/2020?fbclid=IwAR1KJ1hTF2ToLk9QpFWGhcOjj2nMg2FforJC26Qzqy69rkGRrOrrm45TNz4

"The Senior Executive Service (SES) and Executive Service (ES) scales set the yearly salaries for top government officials, including the leaders and senior personnel in over 75 Federal government agencies. Generally, the SES is comprised of high-level officials who are above the GS-15 level of the General Schedule (GS) Payscale.”

"These pay levels represent guidelines for agencies to use for setting the salaries of their top officials. Minimum pay under the ES scale is set at 120% of the basic pay for a GS-15 Step 1 employee, while the maximum compensation that can be paid to an ES employee is the current salary of the Vice President of the United States."

In addition to their base pay, the members of the SES vote on bonuses to award to one another.

These are the people who really run Washington. The unelected, self-aggrandizi ng bureaucrats. The Politburo. The Swamp.

Chinese Decline

From Lance Sjogren

Chinese tech giant drops $170 billion in value. Chinese stocks would have been a great investment if China had continued its course of gradually becoming less oppressive which occurred up to around 2015 or so.

But Xi Jinping took power and proved to be a paranoid tyrant. His rule has shown some of the traits of the Kim Jung Un regime in North Korea, and you know what kind of economy that country has. Not only has he engaged in an iron-fisted crackdown on ethnic minorities, religious minorities, and any dissent in general, but he has made moves to cripple China's largest businesses for fear their wealthy executives like Jack Ma might prove to be rivals that threaten his power.

People who think China is on the rise are mistaken. It is in deep shit. One of the main reasons people think China is in a good position is on account of what a mess the US is in. But so is China. In my opinion both of the two most powerful nations in the world are really f'd up. It's debatable how formidable an adversary the US would be today if China attacked Taiwan. Fortunately, I think the only way that will happen is if Jinping feels his regime is close to overthrow and he uses a military campaign as a desperation attempt to hang onto power. It will be interesting to see whether an attack by China on Taiwan would trigger India to invade Tibet in order to liberate it from China. I'm sure Jinping has nightmares about that sort of thing. China may learn that colonization works both ways- you may succeed in colonizing countries but your past imperial conquests are not guaranteed to stick.

Because the two superpowers are such a mess, the next tier of nations are going to be the most important factors in world affairs for the time being. Japan, India, Britain, Australia, France even Russia, which fortunately will probably be a constructive force in East Asia since it knows that China is its biggest threat.

Just because the US is a mess doesn't mean China is ascending. China is a mess too. Its regime is sabotaging its own economy out of fear of being overthrown.
