Unemployment in Free V. Lockdown States
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has made available a series of new statistics highlighting the unemployment figures from January (pre-pandemic mania) 2020 when compared to January of 2021, and the difference in outcomes is staggering.

As you can see by the chart posted by Phil Kerpen, South Dakota, which has remained open over the course of the past year, has the best numbers on record. Under Governor Kristi Noem’s leadership, South Dakota registered both the lowest percentage increase of unemployment, in addition to the lowest overall unemployment percentage.
Of the remaining 9 states with the best unemployment numbers, every state but Vermont took a more minimalist approach to COVID-19 restrictions.
On the other side of the spectrum, here’s a list of the states that saw a spike in unemployment of 4 percent or more since January, 2020:

- New Jersey
- Connecticut
- Hawaii
- Illinois
- Nevada
- Massachusetts

Dr. Henry Morris’s (1918-2006) "That Their Words May be Used Against Them" is a remarkable catalogue of compromising admissions stated primarily by evolutionists themselves which contravenes and subverts their own Darwinian views. With almost 500 pages of one compromising quote after the next one could easily argue that Morris has at least made a good case in favor of "reasonable doubt†with regard to the veracity of evolutionary theory.
Some time ago, President Thomas
Jefferson, who was strongly influenced by European Deism, rejected the
"newly developing science of geology†and its "evolutionary concept of
the creation of the earth on the grounds that no all-wise and
all-powerful Creator would have gone about the job in such a slow and
inefficient way.†Morris even shows in a variety of quotes how modern
evolutionists themselves have routinely admitted as much as Jefferson
did long before Darwinism became official scientific dogma. In the
Humanist magazine article written in 1995, Arthur Falk noted, "Nature
makes everything in vain. After all, what is evolution? A mindless

In the 1940’s, when Dr. Morris was younger, he presumed a form of theistic evolution of sorts before he began to realize many of the inherent problems with Darwinism. By the time he his book, he had pieced together a rather lengthy list of choice quotes by evolutionists themselves, which were never spoken in any such way to advocate creationism, but still manages to easily undermine their own positions if they would bother to think much more seriously about what they just admitted. As such, in the spirit of Job 12:7-25 where it is warned that God will remove the reasoning powers of those who deny His obvious creative handiwork in the book of nature, Morris quotes President George Washington where he wisely writes, "It is impossible to account for the creation of the universe without the agency of a Supreme Being. It is impossible to govern the universe without the aid of a Supreme Being. It is impossible to reason without arriving at a Supreme Being. Religion is as necessary to reason, as reason is to religion. The one cannot exist without the other. A reasoning being would lose his reason, in attempting to account for the great phenomenon of nature, had not a Supreme Being to refer to.†At the time of the founding fathers of America, the nation generally presumed biblical authority and Newtonian science as being consistent with one another before the advent of Darwinism.
While many Christians have often presumed the so-called Big-Bang Theory can be used by apologists to scientifically deduce there was a beginning to the universe that only an infinite God can bring about in a vast creative explosion, Morris goes through any number of quotes from Big-Bangers and other scientists who are far more doubtful about the cosmology of it all. Writing for Nature magazine in 1990, one author let slip, "Cosmology is unique in science in that it is a very large intellectual edifice based on very few facts.†Another author writing for Scientific American wrote in 1992, "The Big Bang ultimately reflects some cosmologists’ search for creation and for a beginning. That search properly lies in the realm of metaphysics, not science.†Even the late Stephen Hawking drops this line, "For the vast majority of stars, there is only one characteristic feature that we can observe – the color of their light.†His famous book, "A Brief History of Time" is much more of an oxymoron than most would care to admit when one considers the vast astronomical ages he is speaking of. Mathematical cosmology together with their computer models and algorithms all too often quickly become metaphysical. Writing for the Scientific American in 1955, scientist George Wald (1906-97) wrote without blushing, "Given so much time, the impossible becomes possible, the possible probable, and the probable virtually certain. One has only to wait: time itself performs miracles.†Yet English astronomer Fred Hoyle (1915-2001) pointed out later the mathematical absurdities which make up most of evolutionary cosmology even if billions of years are granted.
Even the holy grail of Einstein’s speed of light which measures how old the universe is, has been poured out and subjected to criticism as far back as 1953 when an abstract was written by two scientists dealing with "Binary Stars and the Velocity of Light.†They concluded the "time required for light to reach us from the most distant stars is only 15 years.†As such, perhaps it is thus not unsurprising that there have even been a few scientists who postulated that the universe must be far younger than is widely reputed among the scientific community. In 1996, the Scientific American compared modern scientific cosmology to "an endlessly nested set of Matryoshka dolls. Each refinement of the Big Bang delves deeper into abstruse theory, which grows progressively harder to prove or disprove.†So much for progressive science.
In 1985, the Scientific American wrote,
"The realization that we still do not know what makes up most of the
universe has thrown astronomy off the track of normal science and into
a crisis.†That same year, Science magazine leaked out, "It is also a
bit disturbing that all of these estimates of the ages and compositions
of the stars rest on elaborate calculations of what is going on inside
them, but all we observe is the light emitted from their surfaces.â€
That cosmological evolutionism is on very shaky ground does not bode
well for biological evolution, since biology, like it or not, must rest
on cosmology. Such cosmological concerns, however, strangely, do not
concern biological evolutionists. More often than not, they simply
ignore each other. Morris thus spends much of the heart of his book
taking to task biological evolutionists by showing how their theories
too are filled with one inconsistency after the next. Biological
evolutionists are fully aware of the paucity of the fossil evidence,
which is literally blown out of the water by what is otherwise known as
the Cambrian Explosion that sits at the very bedrock, pun intended, of
almost all life on earth – a factual conundrum left unexplained by
gradual evolution. Many evolutionists have known now for a very long
time that natural selection does not select much of anything when it
comes to evolutionary development.
The fossil evidence is so thin, many evolutionists had to adopt a new theory of evolution which outright denies its inherent gradualism. They have called it punctuated equilibrium. Since there are virtually no transitional fossils to speak of, even though their theory demands they be everywhere, many evolutionists now say there was a rapid evolution of one species into another at the outside edge of a species group which left no fossil remains because the change was so isolated and so fast. This, of course, not only suggests something miraculous, but also plays into catastrophism which now has become the new dogma of evolution.

The last four chapters of
Morris’s book deal primarily with the fruits of evolutionary theory in
society where is seen what are some of the sources he used to write his
earlier book entitled, "The Long War Against God." Here, Morris reveals
very revealing quotations relative to the history of evolution, its war
against God, and the social fallout of this rebellion against the truth
of God’s word. Amazingly, Morris shows how many an evolutionist is
fully aware of the maddening societal bitter fruits which evolutionary
theory foists upon society, but unfortunately, have accepted it as a
tragic, existential truth that does not need to make sense since
postmodern madness prevails in the hearts and minds of so many these
days. That Darwinism played no small role in the rise of racism,
eugenics, the monopoly capitalism of Rockefeller Republicanism, Social
Darwinism, Marxism, Fascism, and the death culture of abortionism and
environmentalis
Evolutionist Stephen Gould mockingly acknowledged that the eternal
nature of bacteria itself completely bunks evolutionary theory, "As it
was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be until the sun explodes,
this is the ‘age of bacteria.’ Bacteria began the story 3.5 billion
years ago, as life arose near the lower limits of its preservable
complexity. The bacterial mode has never altered.â€
While Morris is
well aware his contrarian quotes from evolutionists themselves does not
mean they believe in creationism, he does recognize that his book may
thus "elicit charges that some quotes are taken out of context, but I
don’t think any of them misrepresent in any way the intent of the
writers when they wrote what they did. In any case, the reference is
given, so readers can check it out for themselves if they wish.â€
Perhaps more to the point with regard to the motivation of writing his book, the very title itself strongly suggests Morris is thinking of the spirit behind the words when the long arm of the law reads its rights to its citizens suspected of a crime, "You have a right to remain silent. You have a right to an attorney. Any word you say may be used against you in a court of law.†Indeed, the Judge Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ says as much, "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned (Matthew 12:36-37).†In other words, there will be an accounting for such quotations and admissions before the Judge. Evolution breaks the first commandment, among many others when all said is said and done. Indeed, Deuteronomy teaches that both the cosmological heavens and the biological earth were used as witnesses against Israel as they entered into the promised land (Deuteronomy 4:39; 30:19). This will be no less true at the end of days.

So if you traveled back in time to the Middle Ages or the Renaissance and went to a market in England, you’d probably see an oddly familiar sight: women wearing tall, pointy hats. In many instances, they’d be standing in front of big cauldrons.
But these women were no witches; they were brewers.
They wore the tall, pointy hats so that their customers could see them in the crowded marketplace. They transported their brew in cauldrons. And those who sold their beer out of stores had cats not as demon familiars, but to keep mice away from the grain. At the time, being accused of witchcraft wasn’t just a social faux pas; it could result in prosecution or a death sentence. Women accused of witchcraft were often ostracized in their communities, imprisoned or even killed.
Some men didn’t really believe that the women brewers were witches. However, many did believe that women shouldn’t be spending their time making beer. The process took time and dedication: hours to prepare the ale, sweep the floors clean and lift heavy bundles of rye and grain. If women couldn’t brew ale, they would have significantly more time at home to raise their children. In the 1500s some towns, such as Chester, England, actually made it illegal for most women to sell beer, worried that young alewives would grow up into old spinsters.
Actually, there have always been brewsters - female brewers - and in fact most housewives brewed beer for their hubbies prior to the nineteenth century. There weren't a lot of commercial women brewers because, well, women had enough to do in an agricultural society without having to make booze. And women have never been especially happy about making liquor for drunken males. I imagine that was true at the time of the Reformation as well as now. Also, many of the newer Protestant sects were against drinking alcohol.And there was always the danger of a guy getting transformed into a newt. But he got better.

The Xiden Administration is trying their best to deny there is a crisis on the Mexican border (not the Canadian border, go figure), even NPR last night reported what a cluster***k this administration is causing due to canceling Trump's Wall agenda. This is a Democrat self-inflicted issue, yet guess what is the cause?

I’m pretty sure that he Chinese gave fission-boost technology to the North Koreans. From North Korea’s underground testing we have detected airborne isotopes downwind of North Korea such that our geniuses in the military "intelligence†(oxymoron) are of a mind that the North Koreans had imprecise timing on their ignition and so produced a fizzle with incomplete detonation.
A fission-boost device is obsolete as it is very heavy. This why North Korea is trying to develop heavy lift rockets.
Returning to the behavior of a main sequence star, after burning thru fusion and casting off the overburden of light elements to form a Red Giant, the residual core is a White Dwarf. A White Dwarf is formed by the heavy fissiles descending to form a fission mass. White Dwarfs are about the size of the Earth with a density 200,000 times greater than Earth. White Dwarfs are approx. 1/2 of the mass of the main sequence star which spawned the White Dwarf.
If two (2) White Dwarfs of near equal mass couple up, they form a White Dwarf binary system. As they spiral down into one another and impact, it is two (2) Earth-sized fission reactors being thrown into one another. Such an event results in a Type 1a Supernova.

Jim Church posted a meme on his Facebook page against pornography and he apparently upset a number of our mutual Facebook friends who happen to be atheists. A big argument erupted with me left holding the bag (as usual). Apparently it is uncool to think porn is bad.
Jim basically said pornography is wrong from a moral perspective. This led to an argument on the validity of the Bible and on the existence of God.

Please read the rest -- especially if you're one of these people who thinks that Dr. Fauci can do no wrong (of course, if you are, you're probably not reading our website). Indeed, and according to past President Ronald Reagan, the most frightening words to hear in the English language are ‘We’re from the government and we’re here to help you!’ The underpinnings of such beginnings appear benign and with benign neglect the malignancy storms through, metastasizing arboreally through the veins of the entire system. The world is seeing such a death these days.
We argue that the real virus is ‘fear’ and ‘fear’ stops people from thinking clearly. Governments and bureaucrats and their expert advisors are depending on people not thinking clearly, and are providing knee-jerk reactions to every facet of the pandemic which only drives fear unnecessarily. We also point out that the fuel for this fear rests on the reliance of our leadership on wholly unreliable PCR testing for SARS-CoV-2. In effect this has led to a fear-based PCRdemic that has not only paralyzed society but has led to massive societal disruption and unnecessary suffering and death.
The CDC has again revealed itself to be a non-autonomous entity grifting on the illogic of pseudoscience with its recent guidance regarding Covid-19 vaccines and travel as well as how vaccinated people can safely visit others. This once glorified agency has stooped to issue conflicting and at times illogical and frankly misleading guidance on Covid which can confuse not only the public, but healthcare providers and policy makers alike. It is troubling that the reports and guidance being produced by the CDC are at times contradictory and very confusing and make no sense. We focus first on the foremost and most disturbing issues of the day: The current guidance follows in step with Dr. Anthony Fauci’s suggestions when he opined that children will be vaccinated in early 2022.
How could Dr. Fauci, who we assume reads the science and understands the science, make this statement when he knows that 1) children were not included in any of the Covid-19 vaccine research studies and as such, the results cannot be extrapolated to them and 2); these actions are even more perplexing particularly if one is ‘following the science,’ which in this case simply does not exist? It needs to be reemphasized that the risk for the development of serious SARS-CoV-2 infection in children is infinitesimally small in the first place (risk is in the range of 0.002%). They are also at very low risk of transmitting virus to other children, to adults, to their teachers, or of taking it home. We know there are exceptions as there are for any infectious pathogen, yet these exceptions remain exceedingly rare. This is not heresy and is a fact, based on undisputed science. This recommendation made by Dr. Fauci does not consider the long-term risks to children, especially given their low probability of infection and even lower probability of illness from the virus. Inserting the potential of harm where little to no risk exists is tantamount to gross malpractice in our opinion.
We must look at these issues as a risk management question and balance (trade-off) the benefits versus the harms of alternative courses of action. We have to balance the risk and the reward and make our decision based on how the balance settles out. These concepts are mainstays of public health policy and science and yet do not seem to play a meaningful role in the development of the CDC’s and Dr. Fauci’s guidelines. In fact, we find it exceedingly difficult to justify the administration of an experimental vaccine into any population cohort that has virtually no disease risk. This comes into very sharp focus when it is also understood that until long-term data are available post-vaccination, why would we even consider the administration of an experimental vaccine to children? This is a vaccine that might potentially have longer-term harms that are as yet unrecognized. This philosophy is no different than that applied to any new pharmacological agent, and especially so for still-experimental vaccines. Remember, these Covid vaccines are under emergency use authorization (EUA) and are decidedly still experimental. There is known risk (albeit low) to the healthiest of persons when they take into the body any drug, any vaccine, any substance and as such, this also applies to our children. Thus far there has been no evidence or science in support of such a theoretical enterprise, only innuendos. Today Dr. Fauci cannot point to any science, evidence, or data that could support the provision of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination of children in 2022. None!

I had a dialog with Gavin Schmidt of GISS back in the early days. I found his responses to be way too confident in his models. I suggested to him that models have little to no predictive skills when it comes to non-linear chaotic systems and inquired as to what makes his models so different? In so many words, he told me to go jump off a bridge. It was then that I realized that the lad was a bit prideful and not open to explaining himself or his work.
At the time, I was deeply involved in statistical modeling (still am as I have the time) with considerable professional experience in non-stationary time series models - what the IPCC, Met Office, and others use to analyze the various temperature datasets.
Also, at the time, I wasn't sure where I stood on Global Warming. So as one mathematician to another, I thought I would engage Gav in a discussion of the models, particularly from my viewpoint that the models have very little to no predictive skills so I was curious about why his models had such amazingly accurate predictive skills to two decimal places over many years? I mean, if I could sort out that question, I could tune my models to play the stock market and get very rich while I contemplate burning up and drowning all at the same time.
It was his angry response towards me that tipped me off that maybe his models weren't so predictive, I wasn't going to get rich, and more importantly, I wasn't going to burn up or drown. Thus was the beginning of my becoming a skeptic. (er, realist).

That's a very good story to tell as it illustrates the problem with the Alamists. I was on the fence on it for a long time myself, until the arrogance and unwillingness to debate of those promoting the theory showed me they really had a losing hand. Anybody who has ever played poker can see a bad bluff like that.You don't become enraged when questioned if you have the facts on your side. You shut down debate when you don't.

Well, we are about five months in since the Democrats won full power, now, and the price of gas has soared, our government is bombing people in the Mid East again, tens of thousands of jobs have been summarily canceled, we have hundreds of thousands of illegals swamping our border again, Coke wants to ban white people, plastic potatoes are suddenly offensive, old cartoons are all racist, and the president is telling us we are allowed to have "small gatherings" on July 4th if we follow his rules. Thank GOD we got rid of that guy who wrote mean tweets.

"I hear that most people aren’t even coming into work, and the offices at the Capitol are empty," said one well-placed insider in touch with staffers in recent days.
"He’ll fight and fight and fight, but the staffers I’ve talked to are ready for him to hang up the gloves. Everyone feels like there is an inevitable conclusion — I mean at some point will Biden call on him to step down? They [staffers] just want this torture to stop."
Rebellion in the ranks deepened as Cuomo on Friday defiantly refused to step aside and blamed "cancel culture" for his downfall.
"I feel a level of rage toward this fake tough guy," seethed an ex-aide. "The guy thinks he’s the toughest, the hardest working, he’s the smartest. The truth is, he’s anything but. He’s the weakest, he’s the dumbest, and he’s the most shallow of them all. He is genuinely a very small man who pretends to be big."
The former aide said many staffers are not coming into the executive offices, but choosing to work remotely or at vaccine sites instead. They are increasingly worried their careers are in jeopardy, just as they were beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel after working around the clock for months during the pandemic.

Some say yes.
The law must assume an expectation of reasonable common sense. One cannot idiot proof the entire world, after all. The fact we've tried, and the fact we've gotten the law involved in everything that makes anyone unhappy, has led to the current mess we are in. Societies cannot function by laws and rules alone. In the end the public has to take some steps for their own protection and defense.
This is a microcosm of the great divide. The Left sees freedom as being doing whatever you want - no matter how crazy - and having law protect you FROM YOURSELF. Conservatives see freedom as being allowed to act in your own interests and allowed to decide what is good or bad for you. To the latter the law is a basic framework mainly designed to punish evildoers who prey on others, while to the former it is a tool to protect the idiot. In the end the leftist view makes endless laws to cover every conceivable situation, and they usually end up being used for things that were never their intent. In short, the nanny state becomes tyrannical. This story may be about a woman gorilla gluing her hair, but it is about a fundamental philosophical difference in our society.
