The Proper Role of Government

When we try to understand the proper role that government plays within this Republic then we should also gain knowledge about how government deviates from the Constitutional line of authority in its usurpations, and the effects deviations have upon this Nation. When a government seeks to usurp power, it normally does so through a myriad of bureaucratic appointments, contrary to Constitutional Order. Within the bureaucratic labyrinth it can twist the law in a number of ways which will always follow a certain path of base confusion and within that confusion it relies upon one thing to achieve its goals of sovereignty over the People and that is the complacency of the People.

Bureaucracy's intent is to always create a system that can be used to confound the People, one in which there is a "law” for every crime and that law is usually arbitrary, vague and complicated. The "law” becomes relative, hard and cold, without equality or justice, it becomes divisive to society and breaks People into classifications and groups for its administration.

Such a government will always extort concessions from the People in increments so small that few realize they have lost a portion of their Liberty and Freedom, and it does so without the slightest regard to justice or the Common Rights of man. There comes a time, in such a system, when the People will always be compelled to surrender some, and generally a large portion of their Freedom in order to live, day to day, within such a society.

A government which declares its sovereignty over the People, one which, like our present government, declares that the People's Rights are only grants from the government will always resort to coercion in order to maintain its supremacy and keep the People "in their place”.

As long as we continue to imagine ourselves subservient to the will of the government, to live and function at the pleasure of the government, we will never see the purpose Liberty and Freedom, nor shall we ever reap the benefits of that Liberty and Freedom! We must realize that the Liberty we are entitled to enjoy is not derived from this government, nor does this government create it. Government cannot create it, manage it, or export it, the only thing the government can do is protect it, nurture it or destroy it through its policies. Lest we forget, the Banner of Liberty does not rest within the bowels of government, but in the hearts and minds of the People. Ideas have, as always, been the most effective weapon for any revolution; the one we now face is no different.

If men of disloyal inclinations, covetous and filled with avarice are allowed to govern with impunity, as they are now, they will naturally violate the Rights of their fellow Citizens, and under every pretense of good government they will increase their holdings of power to the point that it will cease to regard the Citizen as anything more than a resource for their use.

Men are often deluded into an opinion, that they must endure and therefore maintain the present order as it now stands, that either no change is possible or that to resist the present order will bring only suffering. Men have forgotten the power that the Blessings of Liberty bring, not only to an individual, but also to a Nation.

We have been taught the words of Liberty and Freedom, but have never enjoyed the full meaning of the words, nor have we seen the prosperity that Liberty and Freedom bring to a People. We have only witnessed the afterglow of the Liberty and Freedom this Nation once enjoyed, a fading glory from days long past. For decades, the Liberty and Freedom of this Nation have been abridged, mangled in the workings of the growing machinery of government.

As always, when men of questionable character and ambition, who through their covetousness grasp at the reigns of power will promote more and more encroachments on the People's Liberties until the People can no longer discern the meaning of Liberty. Those with such nature will always endeavor to establish themselves in a state of permanent superiority over the People, and in doing so, they will always betray the trust of the People. For over a century, these types of factious men have, through their artifice, deceived and misled the People through assuming the facade of Patriotism. They have long strayed from the Path of Liberty and Freedom, and thereby they have led this Nation down a path of eventual despair and destruction.

It is a violation of all that is Right and Good for a man to use the guise of Patriotism to encourage, through legislation and deed, the violation of the Law and the Rights of his fellow men. How can a man call himself a Friend of Freedom, and yet set himself up as what amounts to nothing short of a dictator and tyrant over the People, ignoring the Law as though it was a meaningless piece of paper? It is amazing that the People can still abide those who would use secret practices, and indeed violence to achieve their goals of domination, taking advantage of the unsuspecting security of others, to deprive them of the Free exercise of their Rights.

We have failed to discern that an Honest Man, a real Defender of Freedom, will always openly declare what he has to propose and allow the People to judge the validity of his proposition. He need never hide behind deception in order to promote his proposition, nor the exercise of that proposition. Should we not find it extremely strange the manner in which such men vindicate their position as the cause of Freedom when they seek to first deprive others of their Freedom to establish such a position?

When a man acts in such a manner to promote such claims under the cloak of Patriotism, seeking to gain influence over the People, he becomes the enemy of the People as well as the Nation, a Traitor to the Ideals of Liberty.

We, as a People, have through the decades, lost the traits which once made us a Great Nation, for it takes the most earnest dedication and vigilant exertions to firmly establish and maintain the condition in which Freedom can thrive and flourish. Yet, we have allowed those with sinister views to be entrusted with the powers of government, and in doing so, we have facilitated our own demise and the marginalization of the meaning of Freedom and Liberty.

The hope still abides that there are, within this Nation, those who, despite oppression and opposition to Liberty, will continue to resist all those who would seek to subvert this Republic and thus destroy our Freedom.

Amen. No air conditioning meant people died from heat stroke. No gas furnaces meant people died of hypothermia. People inhaled lots of smoke and got COPD (as they still do in Africa and other places cooking with wood.) Clothes had to be mended constantly because they couldn't afford new ones. They had to wash clothes in the river on a rock. Food was scarce. Bathrooms were unsanitary holes in the ground outside that had to be accessed in rain or snow. You couldn't keep pests away. Water was frequently contaminated. It was no fun living in a state of nature. But we are now to believe it was better when in fact it was far, far worse. more...

Why didn't the author try to interview former Sec. State Rex Tillerson? He turned out to be a neverTrumper, btw.

The fact is the U.S. government was FUNDING  this research, and it was Anthony Fauci's group that was doing it.

This well predated Mr. Trump. The real question is what did the Obama Administration know and when did they know it?

Trump was right calling it the China Virus.

When they sat down with the scientists at the WIV, the American diplomats were shocked by what they heard. The Chinese researchers told them they didn’t have enough properly trained technicians to safely operate their BSL-4 lab. The Wuhan scientists were asking for more support to get the lab up to top standards.

The diplomats wrote two cables to Washington reporting on their visits to the Wuhan lab. More should be done to help the lab meet top safety standards, they said, and they urged Washington to get on it. They also warned that the WIV researchers had found new bat coronaviruses could easily infect human cells, and which used the same cellular route that had been used by the original SARS coronavirus.

Taken together, those two points—a particularly dangerous groups of viruses being studied in a lab with real safety problems—were intended as a warning about a potential public-health crisis, one of the cable writers told me. They kept the cables unclassified because they wanted more people back home to be able to read and share them, according to the cable writer. But there was no response from State Department headquarters and they were never made public. And as U.S.-China tensions rose over the course of 2018, American diplomats lost access to labs such as the one at the WIV.

"The cable was a warning shot,” one U.S. official said. "They were begging people to pay attention to what was going on.” The world would be paying attention soon enough—but by then, it would be too late.

The cables were not leaked to me by any Trump administration political official, as many in the media wrongly assumed. In fact, Secretary of State Pompeo was angry when he found out about the leak. He needed to keep up the veneer of good relations with China, and these revelations would make that job more difficult. Trump and President Xi had agreed during their March 26 phone callto halt the war of words that had erupted when a Chinese diplomat alleged on Twitter that the outbreak might have been caused by the U.S. Army. That had prompted Trump to start calling it the "China virus,” deliberately blaming Beijing in a racist way. Xi had warned Trump in that call that China’s level of cooperation on releasing critical equipment in America’s darkest moment would be jeopardized by continued accusations.

After receiving the cables from a source, I called around to get reactions from other American officials I trusted. What I found was that, just months into the pandemic, a large swath of the government already believed the virus had escaped from the WIV lab, rather than having leaped from an animal to a human at the Wuhan seafood market or some other random natural setting, as the Chinese government had claimed.

Lincoln’s War On The Republic of Republics

In the Kentucky Resolution, Thomas Jefferson declared:

"This Commonwealth is determined to submit to no undelegated and consequently unlimited power, in no man, or body of men on earth, even the President, whose suspicions may be the evidence, his orders the sentence, his officers the executioner and his breast the sole record of the transaction. When powers are assumed which have not been delegated, a nullification of the act is the rightful remedy; and every State has a natural right in cases not within the compact, -casus-federis, to nullify of their own authority all assumptions of power by others within their limits. It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence (in the men of their choice) to silence our fears for the safety of our rights. Confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism. Jealousy, and not confidence, prescribes limited constitutions to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power. In questions of power then, let there be no more heard of confidence in man; but bind him down form mischief by the chains of the constitution."

There is so much that is labeled history and yet, within those pages are some of the most distorted facts that it boggles the mind when one comes across the truth of the matter; in fact it shakes us from our former comfort and requires that we make the decision to either continue to blindly believe or to step into areas foreign to our neatly packaged view of history.

There are many contentions regarding history, most are simply accepted as fact, as truth, indeed as history; yet when we stumble upon a fact or several facts that do not conform with our accepted view of history it exposes us to the most wondrous opportunity to explore an entirely different world, the real world.

Prejudice, Race, and the Hustle

Just an observation about an understanding of race and my own ignorance.

This afternoon, while heading northbound, and waiting at the crossing of a major boulevard, I observed a car in the crossroad turning lane to come southbound. There were two black teenagers leaning into a man’s car in the turning lane and gesticulating. I assumed that they were harassing and looking to shake down the old white driver. In an instant, a fire truck for paramedic service appeared, horns blaring. The fire fighters scrambled out and spoke briefly with the young men. The young men stood back as the fire fighters took command of the situation. As I slowly drove across the boulevard, I could see the old man rubbing his eyes and he seemed befuddled. Perhaps a vision problem ? Perhaps an escemic stroke ? Who knows.

To my shame. I mistook the actions of the young men in a negative light. Obviously, they were attempting to lend aid.

Dallas Stephens interjects:

Idle thought. Turn the clock back to the 1950's. What would you have thought was happening if you'd witnessed the exact same thing then? Fast forward to today: post-gangsta music, movies, videos & culture - after decades of media focus on the worst side of black-life in America? Seems to Bubba that things 'changed' the second the war on poverty was launched that wrecked family's in the inner city. Next came forced integration, white flight, the murder of MLK & Malcom X - and race riots for the first time. Soon, with few fathers left at home, schools gutted of achievers, declining tax bases, the entitlement mentality launched & gutted neighborhood economy's, schools were dumbed down as expectations were lowered., Then came the war on drugs that brought gangs, 'jobs' (aka crime) and an identity to lost inner city kids. Yeah, we've come a long way since John Carlos raised his fist on the winners podium at the Olympics. Some like Bubba would say it's no accident that perceptions have changed. Others would say unintended consequences to well-intentione

It is a sad but inevitable development that we jump to the worst stereotyping in such a situation. I remember when Jesse Jackson said he would be relieved when he heard footsteps behind him in a dark alley and turned around to find it was a white person coming up behind him; he himself was admitting that there is so much more danger from the black community. I remember the Kari sisters; that happened in my own neighborhood and my mother taught those girls at St. Jerome.

These girls and their cousin went out on the abandoned Chain of Rocks bridge over the Mississippi to look at a poem about racial tolerance they had graffitied on the bridge deck (everyone wrote graffiti on that bridge).

Some black teens came along, raped the girls, and tossed them to their deaths in the dark river below. The cousin survived being thrown off the bridge. Now, these girls assumed the best and got the worst.

But it is a cautionary tale; you have to assume the worst these days. And it's not just black kids, but anybody who you don't know but who may be able to overpower you physically. Those girls should never have been on that bridge. They should not have engaged in conversation with those men. They made multiple mistakes out of ignorance. That ignorance was a reflection of the modernist "tolerance" movement that promoted the idea that everyone is essentially good. They aren't. Those girls paid with their lives for a liberal concept..

I'd even go so far to say that Luis Farrakhan is more right than wrong. Both he and Malcom preached individual responsibility while naming names for the one's who caused the debacle. Malcom blamed white liberals. Farrakhan blames Jews and Whitey, and when seen from 'his' perspective, it's hard to argue with him. On the other side of the coin are those like Sharpton & Jackson who turned race and racism into big bucks for themselves by preaching more entitlement. Can't blame them either since exploitation is one of the world's most lucrative industries.

Tim replies:

The black community just followed the line of least resistance. In the end it is white liberals who caused all this. They set the rules of the game. They destroyed black families. They promoted a culture of dependency. They rigged it so no matter what a black person did it would never let them escape the soft bigotry. Now the black community is trapped on a liberal plantation and there is no way off. It was a snare and it is a snare for the rest of us, as they are coming for us all in time. The blacks simply were the tool used to promote things. And they were vulnerable enough that they couldn't prevent it. How do you turn down "help" when offered? Who wouldn't accept the set-asides and fianancial assistance offered by the liberal Democrats? But there was a terrible price to be paid, and we now see it in it's full glory. But there are still a lot of great black folks out there, ones who know this is wrong. As Dallas Stephens says, the Farrakhans and Malcolm X's are right in many ways. They see the system was gamed to their ruin. Sadly, they generally don't promote what they need to promote, which is the old Booker T. Washington philosophy of self-reliance, hard work, and, well, just being superior. It was a tough prescription, but Washington's call was the right one. Unfortunately it fell on deaf ears as the NAACP promoted political power over economic success. Now most "black power" types are socialists who want to destroy the country. It should have been the opposite; they should have been capitalists who sought to build.

This election marked the end of the American Republic. We now live in a nation not governed by the Constitution and rule of law but by an oligarchy which will do anything to remain in power - with the full backing of all media at this point. It's as bad as the German Odoacer being crowned Emperor in Rome in 476.

This will almost certainly "turn kinetic" in due course. The progressive left knows what awaits them if they fail; so they'll embrace violence, and subvert the justice system to serve their interests in order to jail or "disappear" their opponents, rather than allow that to happen. The conservative right knows that'll be their tactic; so they'll adopt a more robust defense of themselves and their positions, up to and including physical resistance to oppression.

I expect a lot of this to play out in the so-called "Red states", where state governments will seek to pass laws restricting federal agencies from unrestricted operations in their state. The central government will, of course, retaliate, and will have the force of federal law on its side. Irresistible force, meet immovable object.

However, much will come down to the individual level. If local officials seek to enforce a progressive left-wing edict, they'll have to be resisted by locals who refuse to allow tyranny to rule over them. Based on my experience in the Third World, I have little doubt that'll turn physical in short order. When officials know that enforcing an unpopular law or dictatorial edict might get them shot or burned out of their homes, they'll be a lot more circumspect in doing so. No matter how much I hate it, that's the reality of the matter. I've seen it in several countries so far, and I see no reason why it won't come to our shores before long.

So, when you talk politics in the USA today, bear in mind that it's not just politics. It's a conflict for survival.If we all come to our senses and seek mutual accommodation, that can be mutual survival . . . but that's no longer likely. The progressive left has gone all-in on seizing and maintaining control, at any cost. They're maintaining a puppet President in power, a man mentally incompetent to and incapable of exercising that office, because they can manipulate him to achieve their ends. They've shut off the capital city of our nation from its people, and are protecting themselves and their institutions behind barbed wire and military guards, to keep the people out and keep themselves in power. Those realities alone should illustrate that they're not going to give up, and they're not going to go away.
