Ann Coulter makes an eloquent case for the President to use the military to build a border wall.
From the article:
This is the precise opposite of the Constitution’s words, framework and intent.
Starting wars was supposed to be difficult. Defending the nation was supposed to be easy. Indeed, repelling attacks on our border is so important that both the legislature and president are given authority to do so.
But today, it’s considered perfectly normal that U.S. troops are fighting in 14 countries that most Americans couldn’t name, while our border is wide open.
[...]
By the way, what, precisely, is the "military purpose†of building schools in Djibouti? How about building walls, schools, bridges, hospitals, roads and water purification systems in places like Vietnam and Iraq?
Our military did that!
The U.S. Navy Seabees and Army Corps of Engineers have built all kinds of non-military infrastructure in, among other places, Djibouti, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Somalia, the Congo, Cambodia and Grenada — even in little Micronesia (population: 100,000).
A couple of years ago, an American sailor who had just helped build a school in Ban Nong Muang, Thailand, was proudly quoted in Seabee Magazine: "My recruiter told me to join the Seabees. He said they build schools in foreign countries for kids.â€
The U.S. military does these things in other countries but, we’re told, can’t build a wall in our own.

His journey to Jimmy Carterism is nearing completion. The once-proud king of negotiations appears to be a shell of his former self, signing on to the despicable deal made by his own party and the Open Borders socialists of the Democrats. It was so bad that Rush Limbaugh - who tried vainly to defend Trump on Friday (and wound up sounding like Karl Rove or some other apologists for the cowardice of the GOP) then announced he wasn't even going to show up for work on Monday. There really was no way to defend Trump's complete surrender in this border wall fight.
Trump, the supposed Great Negotiator, got hornswoggled.
I posted about the deal yesterday; it is full of poison pills, a veritable Walgreens of evil medications. First, they got Trump down from 25 billion to 1.3 billion, and then they only allow construction in Texas. There is a lot of private land in Texas and the bill requires they build there first while the public land must undergo strict environmental impact studies. The Rio Grande is settled heavily by Mexicans, and they are a solid Democratic voting block (they elected Beto O'Rourke, for instance.) The landowners along there may well refuse. Oh, and this bill gives the right of refusal to local governments, making it almost certain that very little of the wall will be built and what is build will be completely ineffective. Meanwhile this amnetizes some of the really bad criminals coming in, because it stops deportation of any "sponsor" of an unaccompanied minor. All the gangsters have to do is claim that status. It doubles H2B visas, meaning twice as many people will be allowed in to take labor jobs from American minorities and young people and perhaps overstay their visas. And it reduces the number of beds available at detention centers, so as to force "catch and release" policies back on ICE. It was worse than the dirty trick played on Ronald Reagan. And, by signing this, Trump has undermined his argument that we have an emergency at the border; he is acknowledging that the problem has been adequately addressed. more...

Sock! Biff! Pow! If they'd only use the same clear-sighted analysis when examining anything President Trump says or does. Well, we know that's too much to hope for.The typically liberal New York Times Editorial Board blasted Democratic leaders in a scathing piece on Thursday about Amazon backing out of plans to bring 25,000 jobs to the Big Apple – which the paper calls an "embarrassment to the city.â€
Mayor Bill de Blasio responded to the news that Amazon backed out by declaring,†"You have to be tough to make it in New York City,†which is a statement the Times didn’t appreciate.
"What a strange thing for the mayor to take pride in. It’s certainly true that you have to be tough these days. But that’s because the subways don’t work, the streets are gridlocked, the housing is unaffordable, the shelters are overcrowded, and the schools are segregated and often inadequate,†the Editorial Board wrote.
The board then reminded readers to "think how much tougher it’ll become for the typical citizen,†as opposed to "the ones who ride in chauffeured government cars†if the city develops a reputation of "for the smugness of its politicians and their hostility to business.â€
The Times then admits the deal had issues, but it feels that doesn’t justify the shock loss of 25,000 jobs and roughly $27 billion in tax revenue over the next 20 years.
"This embarrassment to the city presents a painful lesson in how bumper-sticker slogans and the hubris of elected — and corporate — officials can create losers on all sides,†the Editorial Board wrote.
The paper then noted that "elected officials who identify as progressive painted Amazon as a rapacious engine of inequality,†while few were actually interested in trying to improve the deal and instead spent their time grandstanding.
"They missed an opportunity to try to get the company to help address housing and infrastructure problems that the development, for all its benefits, would exacerbate,†the paper wrote.
The Editorial Board then mocked de Blasio for claiming that Amazon’s competitors will realize New York City’s talent if the tech giant doesn’t.

There is also still too much we don’t know about the role top aides to then-President Barack Obama and higher-ups in the Justice Department played in spying on the Trump campaign and leaks of classified information for partisan purposes.
In short, what is arguably the greatest scandal in the history of America remains mostly hidden from the public. That shroud of secrecy piles one scandal on top of another.
Fortunately, the McCabe reminder is a timely one, coming on the same day that William Barr was confirmed as the new attorney general. Barr is just the man to get to the bottom of the unprecedented plot to swing an election and later to remove a duly-elected president.
Barr, who was AG under the first President Bush, also will oversee special counsel Robert Mueller’s seemingly endless probe and, hopefully, bring it to a conclusion.
McCabe is talking because he’s peddling a book and, just as Comey the Snake before him, is aiming his sales pitch at anti-Trumpers. He used an interview with CBS to offer more details of a discussion within the FBI and Justice Department to use the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
McCabe said that the effort took shape immediately after Trump fired Comey in May 2017 and that numerous people were involved, including Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
McCabe’s version of events dovetails with a New York Times report last September that Rosenstein met with McCabe and others and offered to wear a wire in meetings with Trump to get incriminating information, a hint that McCabe was the prime source for that story.

Beto O'Rourke, the loser in Texas, wants to tear down the walls we already have to keep out illegal aliens.
From The Hill:
MSNBC host Chris Hayes posed a question from Rep. Dan Crenshaw about whether O'Rourke would get rid of the wall if he could "snap your fingers" and make it happen.
"Yes. Absolutely. I'd take the wall down," O'Rourke said on "All In" during an interview near the border on Thursday.
O'Rourke, who represented El Paso in Congress for three terms, added that he believes city residents would pass a referendum to remove the wall if it were put up for a vote.
Even if what he says is true and El Paso would support a referendum to tear the wall down, it doesn't belong to El Paso but the United States and it protects the whole country. Maybe he ought to ask for a national referendum on it?

Good news!
https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-dhs-guts-task-forces-protecting-elections-from-foreign-meddling
These taskforces - ostensibly designed to fight foreign interference in our elections - are instead primarily a tool designed to shut conservatives mouths.
From the article:
The task forces, part of the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Agency (CISA), were assembled in response to Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. One focuses in part on securing election infrastructure and the other focuses on foreign influence efforts, including social media disinformation campaigns.
Nobody has ever alleged that the Russians changed a single vote, but rather that the claim is "disinformation" which, as it turns out, is just another word for free speech, or at least it used to be. See, the Democrats refused to believe people rejected their Leftist vision and Hillary Clinton, so they have created the bogeyman of "Russian meddling" to explain why they lost.
These programs served the purpose of putting Americans back in the pockets of Big Media. That was their entire goal.
"We have to do more awareness building in this country as we’re just deluged with information,†he said. "We got to have people thinking, ‘Where is this information coming from? And why is it coming to me?’â€
Krebs is the head of the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Agency (CISA), an organization under the Department of Homeland Security.
See, he doesn't like us "deluged with information" because, hey, information is dangerous. Better we see what our betters want us to see.
Given the censorship on Facebook and Twitter and other social media platforms as well as at Google, I welcome any and every opportunity to get contrary information. If it takes the Russians to get word out so be it! This is America, not Goebbles Germany.
Don't doubt it; this site fell drastically in traffic after Google changed their algorithms to stop "fake news" even though our news comes from credible sources elsewhere. And we receive zero funding from anywhere. But that didn't stop the masters of the internet from largely dropping us down the electronic black hole. Ditto other conservative sites like The Gateway Pundit, who was once near the top for news sites but is now nearly impossible to find on Facebook or Google searches. See, they didn't LIKE the content, so they banned it.
Read here, here, here, and here if you doubt this is happening. The tech giants have waged war on conservatives, with the help of the government, to silence our voices. We were too effective in that last election.

The GOP has sold us out yet again with the bogus Border Wall deal. Conservative HQ gives us the details:
2) Liberal local officials have veto power over wall: Actually, on second thought, it’s likely that not a single mile of fence will be built. Section 232(a) of this bill states that "prior to use of any funds made available by this Act for the construction of physical barriers†the Department of Homeland Security "shall confer and seek to reach mutual agreement regarding the design and alignment of physical barriers within that city.†With whom must the feds consult? "The local elected officials.†Now you can understand the brilliance of limiting the wall to the Rio Grande Valley. These are the most liberal counties on the border (thanks to demographics of open borders itself!), and there is practically no local official who supports the wall in these counties.
3) This bill contains a blatant amnesty for the worst cartel smugglers: Section 224(a) prohibits the deportation of anyone who is sponsoring an "unaccompanied†minor illegal alien – or who says they might sponsor a UAC, or lives in a household with a UAC, or a household that potentially might sponsor a UAC. It’s truly difficult to understate the betrayal behind this provision.
[...]

It’s truly difficult to understate the betrayal behind this provision....
5) Doubling low-skilled workers: This bill (p. 1,161) doubles the number of H-2B non-agricultural, unskilled seasonal workers who will continue to be a public charge on America. This gives you a glimpse of what is driving this amnesty bill on the Republican side.
[...]
This is just a cursory glance through the bill. Taken together, these provisions will aggravate the criminal conspiracy of the cartels and continue the invasion. Just this week, 1,800 family units came in during one 24-hour period, a new record. The message of this bill is to come here and seek bogus asylum or to grab a kid and you and others will get amnesty. Plus, there are no wall or policy changes to mitigate these effects.
Moreover, this bill will likely override Trump’s executive powers because of the sneaky limitations on wall construction. This is the sort of omnibus bill that ensnared Reagan in Iran-Contra. Signing this bill will undermine his case for an emergency at the border both legally and politically.
I am certain the Republicans negotiating this thing knew what they were doing. This is an attempt to put something on Trump's desk so they can blame him for not signing it rather than actually trying to work with him. Or he'll sign it, giving them exactly what they want.
This is beyond disgraceful and everyone who has had a hand in it needs to be targeted in the next primary.

James Pinkerton, a fairly bright guy and one of the editors at the American Conservative, penned a reasonably lucid piece on the stupidity of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Soylent Green New Deal. But in the latter part of Pinkerton calls for planting trees to solve the "problem".
From the American Conservative article:
Trees are, in fact, valuable in the fight against climate change because they provide a "carbon sinkâ€: that is, through photosynthesis, they pull carbon out of the atmosphere. A living tree is about 15 to 18 percent carbon, and according to Scientific American, there are some three trillion trees in the world.
In fact, every living thing, flora or fauna, also contains carbon—and so that’s a lot of sunk carbon in the planetary biota. In fact, the National Academy of Sciences estimates that all the life forms on earth hold about 550 gigatons of carbon (a gigaton is a billion metric tons).
For purposes of comparison, humans have released somewhere north of 1,500 gigatons of carbon into the atmosphere over the last century and a half. In other words, the total of organically captured carbon is about a third of what’s in the atmosphere. And so we can readily see: if more carbon could be captured organically, that would have a major impact on the carbon load in the atmosphere.
I can understand Pinkerton's reasoning but cannot concur.
Let me offer exhibit A.
From an article in Livescience by Jamie Workman, writer for the Environmental Defense Fund,"
That policy has radically altered our forest landscapes, where fires set by lightning or Native Americans had always limited forest stocks to roughly a few dozen trees per acre. All that changed in 1910, when a series of huge wildfires led the federal government to declare war on wildfires through a program that now costs more than $2 billion a year.
The result: roughly 112 to 172 more trees per acre in mountain forests of the West. This process of unnatural afforestation (the establishment of trees or tree stands where none previously were) may sound green and benevolent, but the reality is quite different.
The result?
That adds up. Helen Poulos, a fire ecologist at Wesleyan University, and I have estimated, conservatively, that excess trees in the 7.5 million acres of Sierra Nevada conifer forest are responsible for the loss of more than 15 billion gallons per day, or 17 million acre-feet of water per year. That's more than enough water to meet the needs of every Californian for a year.
Metastasizing native tree growth also physically alters the temperature, chemistry and biology of the landscape. It crowds out indigenous plant and animal species. Shade tolerant species take over. Deprived of low-intensity, naturally occurring fires, aspen, lupine, sequoia and fireweed can't reproduce. Deer lose edge habitat. Threatened owls and raptors can't navigate through increasingly dense thickets.
And, when the inevitable forest fires rage through over-forested lands, they burn hotter and faster, and are deadlier and costlier than other fires, thanks to all that extra fuel. They also spew huge amounts of carbon and asthma-inducing particulate matter into the air — a big fire is like setting a coal-fired power plant in the middle of a forest.
End excerpt.
So, the trees suck up water, block sunlight for other plants, and create a fire hazzard.
It should also be pointed out, as Ronald Reagan famously did (and was mocked for it), trees produce ozone, an air pollutant. In fact, Reagan was right to point out that trees are a primary source of air pollution in the United States. Even the New York Times concurs.
Workmans solution is the old fashioned chainsaw; cut down the little crap and haul away the waste products. In other words the exact opposite of what Pinkerton suggests.
Now, I'm not prone to buy into ideas proposed by environmentalists, but I believe Workman is right and in fact the huge fires we have witnessed out West are not evidence of Global Warming but of the very problem of over growth of trees. We have too many, not too few.
It also should be pointed out that the oceans are the world's primary carbon sink/oxygen producer and forest land is not in the same ballpark. Planting trees is a rather unhelpful effort.
But it's great for making baseball bats, boards, and asundry wonderful things we need and want. But in the end wood turns back into carbon dioxide.
In the end, this is a solution looking for a problem. The Earth is in a low-carbon-dioxide era, one of the lowest in geological history. In fact, there was five times more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere 250 million years ago than today, and life did just fine. Dinosaurs roamed the Earth, creatures much bigger and more active than anything currently alive.
And carbon dioxide reaches a wavelength saturation, meaning you only get about a two degree rise in temperatures before the whole thing craps out. Now, the alarmists and their computer models - the only evidence that they have - suggests this will lead to more water evaporating, leading to more CO2 to more water, a runaway greenhouse effect. But this ignores that increased water vapor in the atmosphere creates more clouds, thus blocking more sunlight. A cursory look at Mars suggest this is the case; Mars warms up, the air pressure rises, then wind increases, kicking up dust, blocking sunlight, and reducing planetary temperatures. In the end the planet returns to a static state.
Earth is a different place, certainly, but there is every reason to think there are negative feedbacks rather than all positive. History is on our side.
And so is the actual science; there has been no planetary warming since the late '90's, we are NOT seeing an overall loss in ice, neither in the Arctic nor Antarctic. There is no tropical tropospheric hot spot. Scientists STILL can't find the "missing heat".
In other words, we do not have a problem, but we have hysterical calls for desperate measures. And those measures will hurt the poor the most and do irreparable damage to the world economy.
Maybe if the Climate Change people would quit flying around the world to hold meetings and hump hookers we would have less greenhouse gas in the atmosphere? Just asking...

Another budget-busing bill from the San Francisco Bleat that has to be read to know what's in it. From The Daily Caller:
Republican Study Chairman Mike Johnson also confirmed that "as of lunch on Wednesday, members of the RSC, and to our knowledge, even members of the conference committee, had not seen the text.â€
"It has been reported that [House Majority Leader Steny] Hoyer has said if the bill is dropped today we will consider it tomorrow. This is reminiscent of the, ‘you must pass it to find out what is in it,’ Obamacare debacle,†Johnson said to TheDCNF. "This bill is expected to be well over 1,000 pages, and we will potentially have less than 24 hours to digest it. This is absurd.â€
Now is the time for the veto pen, if you ask me...

Daren Jonescu writes about that pretty pink tower at Life in Limbo. From the post:
At the time, I merely found the image a revoltingly clear representation of the hateful, militant, and deliberately abrasive minds that had supported this law.
But then, reviewing Chapter Seven of Brave New World, I came across something quite remarkable.

Congressional negotiators have produced about what we all expected in the frenzied effort to keep the government open and fund a border wall. Politico tells us:
In exchange, Democrats agreed to drop their demand to restrict the number of people who can be detained by Immigration and Custom Enforcement at a time. Negotiators agreed to fund a total of 40,520 detention beds for ICE, a roughly 17 percent reduction from current levels, the aide said.
But one Republican source was quick to dispute Democrats' account, saying the $1.375 billion in barrier funding can be used for "new miles of border wall." The same Republican source suggested that the deal had enough flexibility to actually reach the president's requested level of 52,000 beds, far above the negotiated level.
Details of the final deal may not be released until Wednesday, which has both parties aggressively attempting to spin the proposal as a win.
As I pointed out, this deal is being negotiated by the worst RINO Republicans in Congress: Alabama Sen. Richard Shelby, West Virginia’s Shelley Moore Capito, North Dakota’s Sen. John Hoeven, and Missouri’s Sen. Roy Blunt. Is it any wonder they have come up with a niggardly billion and chump change here?
Congressman Bill Posey chronicles government waste that nobody seems to care about. So does Tom Coburn. Protecting America's border is far, far more important, and a drop in the bucket to many of these ridiculous projects (like collecting urine or studying romance on the internet.)
Oh, by the way, we will be paying furloughed government workers over two billion, more than Trump is going to get for the Wall.
If Trump accepts this he's a fool, and will not be re-elected. This is not a serious proposal, but a face-saving surrender by the GOP.
I think Trump made a huge mistake re-opening the government in the first place. He had the Democrats starting to waffle (other than Pelosi) and they should; the federal workers are a primary constituency of the Democratic Party and when they stopped getting paychecks they started getting mad. They were not willing to be sacrificed on the altar of illegal aliens. But Trump surrendered just as the pain started to hit. As Sun Tzu said, you do not venture a short way into enemy territory. A shallow penetration leads to dispersion. No; if you go you go all in. As Saul Alinsky said "if you push a negative long and hard enough it can break through and become a positive". Based on these two admonisions we should understand that Trump needed to hang tough. He didn't; he threw in his hand just as crunch time came.
So now he needs something to save face. I fear he may take this horrible deal, and the Democrats will crow about suckering him.
If we are serious about protecting America we need a real wall. If nothing else it presents a psychological boundary making it plain to invaders that they are doing something wrong. Now they can just walk into the country without any sense of having violated anything.
Why do people put up cyclone fences? Picket fences? determined people can get over them quite easily. They are put there to make a statement "that side is yours, this side is mine". Even if they don't stop people (and the Great Wall of China certainly stopped Atilla and his Huns) they at least present a psychological barrier. A nation needs that.
If we don't have a border we don't have a country.

The petition 'Scientific Dissent from Darwinism" has topped a thousand names just in time for Darwin Day (February 12).
The article states:
The signers of the Dissent list have all risked their careers or reputations in signing. Such is the power of groupthink. The scientific mainstream will punish you if they can, and the media is wedded to its narrative that "the scientists†are all in agreement and only "poets,†"lawyers,†and other "daft rubes†doubt Darwinian theory. In fact, I’m currently seeking to place an awesome manuscript by a scientist at an Ivy League university with the guts to give his reasons for rejecting Darwinism. The problem is that, as yet, nobody has the guts to publish it.
Indeed. I enjoyed a swarm of Darwinian bees once when I wrote about the weaknesses of Darwinian (as opposed to Evolutionary) theory and offended the "Prophet" Pizzy Myers. The rage that emanates from these people - and their unwillingness to actually debate the issue but rather to attack - makes it clear that this is NOT about the science but about a philosophical/religious/political belief. Most true believers in Darwinism are atheists, and they use it as a club to beat religious believers.
It's good to see courageous scientists take a stand.

Coincidences do happen in life, but when they happen in politics one should be very wary; more than likely they were engineered to serve a purpose.
In a huge coincidence, the Democrats, led by "crazy eyes" Alexandria Ocasio-cortez, have put forth a blueprint for socialism under the banner of a "Green New Deal" They are calling for, among other things, the elimination of air travel, forcing America to use 100% "renewable" energy, meaning wind and solar, while at the same time "transitioning away from nuclear power", the only non-emitting energy source we have (wind and solar still require the emissions of greenhouse gases as they have to be backed up with traditional coal or gas fired plants). She wants to minimize meat eating, and reduce cow flatulence (I guess she will be feeding Beano to the herds.) She wants other things, too, such as a guaranteed job, universal health care, family leave, etc. In other words, this is her jolly green socialist wet dream. Kind of a Soylent Green dream, if you ask me.
Even the very liberal Washington Post called it unworkable.
BTW - Occluded Cortex had a FAQ page that mentioned such goodies as guaranteed income for "those unwilling to work" but she has since taken it down and claimed it was a "fake". Strange; it appeared on her own website ...
But isn't it a coincidence that this massive policy initiative - created out of thin air by a woman whose IQ is barely larger than her waist size - should come just as Americans attitudes towards Global Warming, ooh, I mean "Climate Change", should suddenly take a hard left turn?
Yes indeed; just in time to promote her cause, the good people at PEW come out with a poll suggesting Americans - and the world - are far more concerned about Global Warming than we all previously thought.
From the Reuters story: more...

Cherokee Lizzy Warren has been jumping through Sacred Hoops these days to dismiss the notion she has openly - and repeatedly - lied about being an American Indian. She is now saying she never really said it, or that she only made casual mention. But did she?
I came across this 2012 interview with the Cuckoo Nest Indian where she stated:
First off, someone concerned about a partial ethnicity is not going to say "part Cherokee and part Delaware" but simply lump them together under the general heading "Indian". The story starts with a funny smell.
Second, how did the old man's parents "know" about the old gals' Native American heritage? Unless she told them there was little reason for them to suspect.
Seems to me Cigar Store Liz is the one doing the telling. We now know she's only 1/1,024th Native American; less than most average white bread whitees. I mean she's a cracker baked with fully bleached flour, a pure vanilla ice cream bar. I mean this chick could give lessons in Whiteness to Fred MacMurray's character Steve Douglas or Hugh Beaumont's Ward Cleaver. Hitler could have used her in promotional material for Aryan purity. I doubt the woman even bleeds red; she's probably all white corpuscles and when she cuts herself brie cheese and chardonnay pour forth.
We know Big Hairy sqwaw used her "Heritage" to get hired at Harvard Law, and likely scammed other goodies by virtue of her bloodlie, er, bloodline.
This illustrates the stupidity of Affirmative Action in general; it is such a great thing that people are faking it in order to advance in life. If discriminating against someone is wrong, why is it fine to discriminate FOR them? In the end you are just switching targets.
Apparently Lizzy didn't want to be a target. Sadly, she targeted everyone else while she fibbed about her redskin genes.
Being something requires more than a costume and wishes. Most of us grow up and stop playing Indian...

Anyone wonder whatever happened to Sharyl Attkisson? The former CBS reporter had her computer hacked, her e-mail read, and was spied on in general by the Obama Administration. So, whatever happened in her case?
Conservative Hq has the story:
In short, the government withheld the names, and now argues the lawsuit should end because Attkisson and her attorneys haven’t learned the names. That effectively prohibits citizens from obtaining justice when government is the lawbreaker.
Appeals Court judges who heard the government’s argument in the case seemed incredulous at that logic, but that doesn’t mean Ms. Attkisson will prevail.
So she can't sue because the government won't give her the names to file against. Cute trick; it would wind a normal American in prison.
But, but, but, the ACLU is on the case, right? Journalism associations are helping her, aren't they?
Nope.
The article continues:
Although Ms. Attkisson’s supporters are bipartisan believers in press freedom and constitutional liberty, the obvious inference one should draw from that is the national press and civil liberties organizations are unwilling to take the case or assist Sharyl Attkisson because it involves wrongdoing by the Obama administration.
And Jeff ZZZessions served out his term without lifting a finger in this case. Nor has anybody else. The Deep State protects it's own.
This used to be America, a place where government could not spy on you without due process and cause. Obama and his henchman, '70's porn star wannabee Eric Holder, systematically eradicated our freedoms in their quest to "remake America" into a Soviet republic. They almost succeeded; had Hillary Clinton won we would all be singing the Internationale or finding ourselves in internal exile in a camp in North Dakota or whatnot.
Liberty isn't killed so much as dies of indifference. Sadly, America has become indifferent to the fundamental freedoms that made her what she is. Shame on this country!

Why should we all hope Earth will cool? Because nobody with any trace of human decency wouldhopethe Earth will actually suffer catastrophic warming.
