Barr Probe of Russiagate now a Criminal Proceeding

Timothy Birdnow

No wonder they are so panicked!

DOJ Inquiry Into Origins Of Trump-Russia Probe Is Now A Full-Blown Criminal Investigation

From the article:

The shift, reported by The New York Times, opens up several investigative techniques for John Durham, the U.S. attorney from Connecticut who is leading the investigation.

Durham can now subpoena witnesses, present evidence to a grand jury and file criminal charges if needed.

The Times report cites two anonymous sources familiar with the investigation for the change in tactics.

Attorney General William Barrtapped Durham earlier this year to lead an inquiry into FBI and CIA intelligence-gathering activities related to the Trump campaign.

The noose is tightening on the Deep State, and they will fight back with all of their might. This should make for some real fireworks in the upcoming months.

Who is Jack the Dripper?

Timothy Birdnow

Gateway Pundit has a rundown of possible "whistleblower" leakers.

In a hit piece on conservatives Yahoo repeated that Mike Cernovichtargeted an individual who worked for former National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster, claiming the individual wanted to ‘sabotage’ President Trump and also claiming he is ‘pro-Ukraine and anti-Russia’.

Funny, when you click on the name ‘Eric Ciaramella’ in the post above, you get this –

Cernovich reported in June, 2017, that McMaster promoted Ciaramella in spite of being connected to Susan Rice in Obama’s White House –

West Wing officials confirmed to Cernovich Media that Eric Ciaramella, who worked closely with Susan Rice while at NSC, was recently promoted to be H.R. McMaster’s personal aide. Ciaramella will have unfettered access to McMaster’s conversations with foreign leaders.

(Yesterday Ciaramella’s old boss, McMaster, was in the news siding with the whistleblower.)

Politico shared this about Ciaramella, in a hit piece claiming Trump supporters in the White House claimed people like Ciaramella were ‘deep state’ – they may have been right – [emphasis added below]

Trump political appointees were believed to frequently talk to journalists who worked for conservative media outlets. For months, those outlets published names of career Civil and Foreign Service officers in the NSC and other government agencies whose loyalties they deemed suspect. Career staffers who had joined the U.S. government many years, sometimes decades, earlier were suddenly cast as Obama loyalists determined to derail Trump’s agenda as part of a "deep state.” The people targeted included a State Department civil servant of Iranian descent who’d joined government under the George W. Bush administration; a highly respected Foreign Service officer who dealt with Israeli issues; and an NSC staffer who dealt with European and Russian issues. The latter, Eric Ciaramella, reportedly left the NSC after receiving death threats.Another staffer targeted by conservative outlets was Fernando Cutz, a Latin America expert and top aide to McMaster; at one point he had to temporarily get police protection. (Cutz was malignedby conservative websites in part because he earned a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas’ Clinton School of Public Service, thus supposedly linking him to another Democratic president.)

Also, others have noted Ciaramella was Obama’s NSC Director for the Ukraine. This connects him and his team at the NSC to Joe Biden. Biden was Obama’s lead in the Ukraine so it’s implausible that Ciararmella and his team were not connected to Biden. Schiff’s leakers are connected to Biden also.

According to Politico Ciaramello quit the NSC in the past couple of years and returned to his ‘home agency’ –

We have our #Whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella. https://t.co/sTMcN6GlqShttps://t.co/KHFzOUPc4W https://t.co/3s02our4iN pic.twitter.com/guehIKgPZB

— FOOL NELSON (@FOOL_NELSON) October 10, 2019

And, we also know that Ciaramella attended a dinner in DC with James Clapper, James Comey, Italy’s former Prime Minister Renzi who is connected to Obama and the Russia Collusion hoax, John Kerry and others. Were the origins of the Schiff hoax concocted at this meeting –

This was the dinner in Washington organized for Renzi on October 18, 2016. Among businesses and journos, we strangely find James Clapper and James Comey, an abnormal number of DHS and even Centro Studi Americani. 🤔

Jim (both) anything you wanna tell us?https://t.co/lhykOQchjG pic.twitter.com/WKR49cJLIB

— Giulio Occhionero (@g_occhionero) October 11, 2019

There are many connections to the Deep State’s actions in the Ukraine and Obama during his tenure. The picture below shows numerous individuals connected to Obama and the Ukraine. Charles Kupchan is identified below (see more on him here) and he has been suspected of being connected to the whistleblower as well. He was reportedly Ciaramella’s boss for a time –

Kupchan is personal friends with Hillary’s ‘fixer’ Sid (Vicious) Blumenthal, per Blumenthal’s own words in an email released by WikiLeaks –

great Find!
Charles Kupchan is best friend of Hillary Clinton "fixer" Sid Blumenthal

the list of TRAITORS planted inside the Trump Admin by the Deep State grows longer day by day…

maybe I should write a Thread on these Traitors… with the full list https://t.co/w79nAUuQE9

No Such Thing as Cold

Timothy Birdnow

A recent Popular Science article asked Whi is space so cold if the Sun is so hot?

Why is space so cold when the Sun is so hot?

I posted this simple explanation:

"Cold" does not exist. It is a function of lack of energy - and what we think of as cold on Earth is a function of air and water and whatnot, matter at lower energy states, absorbing heat from us. But in the end it is a dearth of energy. In the shadows in a vacuum it is cold because there is no, or little, energy transfering. It's a world of difference in sunlight. That's why the Moon fluctuates between two hundred fifty degrees F. below at night and two hundred above during the day; the ground radiates heat away during the night and absorbes it during the day.

Massachussets Democrat Bill Would Make it Illegal to Call Someone a "Bitch"

First offense calls for a $150.00 fine. Second offense can be as much as six months in prison.

I guess this guy doesn't have any rappers in his district.

Question; are Republican women exempted as objects of this law?

And what of the phrase "son of a bitch"?  The rock band Aerosmith had a song by that title. Will they be arrested if they go  to Massachussetts?

Washington Delende Est

Timothy Birdnow

Now here is something I've proposed for a long time; our very own Republican Senator Josh Hawley wants to kick the bureaucrats out of Washington!

From the Federalist:

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) have proposed new legislation to move 90 percent of federal agency jobs out of Washington, D.C. The "HIRE” bill aims to move jobs into the heartland and economically-distressed regions throughout the country.

Just one day prior to the bill’s release, Hawley received backlash from mainstream mediaoutlets for defending the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s decision to move two sub-agencies to Kansas City, Missouri. Hawley was berated from insults ranging from "phony” to anti-Semitic.

Look, there is nothing about the District of Columbia in the U.S. Constitution. It was done as a matter of convenience in a time when the individual states took great pride in themselves - and all wanted to be the seat of power. That isn't so important these days. Money is. And when you send all your money to a central point like Washington you create a system guaranteed to be both corrupt and oppressive.

I want our representatives in the House and Senate to work from their home districts and not D.C. as well. I see no reason why we cannot hold a virtual Congress. This would help reduce the influence of lobbyists and take a lot of the money out of governing. It would further break the social pressured; now there is an inner clique and if you don't behave you get kicked out. That sounds like little but in fact it is a powerful incentive to get Congressmen and Senators on the "right side". They didn't go to Washington to be ostricized. Also, it would reduce the authority the Parties have on their own members, who would be more accountable to the voters.

Getting the bureaucracy out would be huge as well.

Washington Delende Est! As long as Washington remains the seat of all power and money it will continue to govern against the will of the People and against our founding documents.

Democrats Stifle Free Speech

Timothy Birdnow

What part of  "shall not be enfringed" is tripping them up?

Democrats’ Election Bill Allows The Government To Define ‘Legitimate News’

From The Federalist:

The House will vote today on the SHIELD Act, a Democrat-led and misguided effort to deter foreign interference in American elections.

[...]

One of the major problems with the SHEILD Act regarding free speech is a provision that allows the federal government to determine what is and is not "legitimate journalistic activities” for the purposes of protecting them from the provisions of the act. The obvious problem with this is that should the federal government decide a journalistic activity is not legitimate, it will have broad powers to silence it.

In addition to this concern, the bill creates a wide array of hoops for United States citizens wishing to engage in political speech to jump through. By making it more difficult to purchase online ads, the bill threatens to chill speech. Regular Americans should not fear federal prosecution for engaging in the political process.

It is not only the GOP that opposes these illiberal elements of the bill, and the bill itself, but also the ACLU, which in a statement said, "The SHIELD Act, as it currently stands, strikes the wrong balance, sweeping too broadly and encompassing more speech than necessary to achieve its legitimate goals.”

[...]

The Democratic bill frankly looks like a rehashing of the collapsed allegation of collusion against the Trump campaign. In short, it is a solution to something that we now know was not the problem.

Read it all at the Federalist.

Trump Proposes Bible Ed in Schools

This from our old buddy Tim McNabb:

OK - some of you should think this through before losing your collective minds...

Western Civilization is THE most successful organizing force, bringing the most blessing and the fewest curses. Western Civilization is built upon moral principles found in Judeo-Christian precepts (not exclusively, but as a practical matter in modern times)

Learning the source document of those precepts is not a bad idea.

Remember kids, Christians are real assholes, but to murder on an industrial scale you need to ut atheists in charge of government.

Trump wants Bible Classes in Schools

A word from Timothy Birdnow:

The Bible was taught in schools until the Progressives removed it out of a horrible misinterpretation of the First Amendment, which says "Congress shall make no law concerning the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". That has nothing to do with teaching the basics of the Judeo Christian faith, or discussing the ethics thereof, or discussing the history of religion. The "separation of Church and State" is a phrase that came from a letter by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Church, where Jefferson spoke of "a wall of separation" between Church and State, and that for the protection of the Church, not the empowerment of the State. Jeffereson was encouraging the good folks at Danbury to embrace   the Constitution.

It was a protection FOR religion, not a club with which to beat religion.

Birthing Black Holes

Timothy Birdnow

It appears the Hubble Space Telescope has seen a supernova blink out, suggesting it actually caught the creation of a black hole.

From Astronomy Mag

When a massive star expends its fuel, its core collapses into a dense object and sends the rest of its gas outward in an event called a supernova. What’s left is mostly neutron stars or black holes. And now, Hubble seems to have seen a supernova blink out — suggesting it captured the moment when a black hole took over.

So Hubble may have captures the birth of a black hole!

So what exactly happened?:

While some supernova events are explosive and leave clouds of debris for thousands of years (aka nebula) like SN 1054, the star in question seems to have begun to explode and then had all its gas sucked right back into the black hole at the center. This can happen when the core collapse of the star is especially massive. Rather than exploding, the gas collapses directly into the core of the star.

Read the whole article; it's fascinating.

So what is a black hole? I wrote about it a few years ago in the old Birdblog. Click the More button to reread an old classic. more...

Faithful Catholics Throw Amazonian Idols Displayed in the Vatican into the Tiber River

Dana Mathewson

Many Roman Catholics, and probably most non-Catholics, are unaware of what's going on here. I was not. But this matter deserves to be brought up. The current Pope is, one may say, a bit too "diverse." Faithful Catholics are becoming fed up.
The Amazon Synod has been full of scandal. It started when the opening ceremony in the Vatican garden was full of earth worship and what appeared to be idol worship happening right in front of the pope with his blessing. One doesn't have to be an art major to recognize ancient fertility goddesses.

The ensuing outrage that occurred among traditional Catholics went unanswered by Rome. In the face of this silence, unidentified Catholics took matters into their own hands and walked into the church next to St. Peter's where the images were displayed and removed them and threw them into the Tiber.

This is exactly what the prelates who refused to explain themselves to the faithful deserved. The responses given to questions about the idols were completely incoherent. Life Site News reported,

The precise identity of the mysterious carved female statue used in a ceremony in the Vatican Gardens is still unknown as the Vatican insists it signifies "fertility and life,” while volunteers where the statue is on display describe it as "Mother Earth” and "Pachamama.”

In response to a question from LifeSite at Friday’s synod press briefing, Paolo Ruffini, president of the Amazon synod’s information commission, reiterated that he believed the unclothed pregnant female statue, which indigenous people also carried in procession into St. Peter’s Basilica and has appeared frequently during the synod, represents a "symbol of fertility and life.”

Pachamama, or Mother Earth is a pagan idol. Period. There is no argument otherwise. It is the same fertility goddess to which ancient cultures sacrificed children. This is not a depiction of Mary the mother of Christ, as some have claimed. And if it were supposed to be, it would still be a scandalous depiction, violating the Church's standard of modesty and stripping Mary of her dignity by removing her clothes. Depicting Mary as a different race is common and acceptable. Depicting her as a naked fertility goddess is not. But even the bishops don't claim it is the Virgin Mary.

Bishop David Martínez de Aguirre Guinea of Peru tried to explain it, badly.

Probably those who used this symbol demonstrated, wishes to reflect fertility, to women, to life, the life presence among these Amazonian people … and Amazonia is meant to be full of life. I don’t think we need to create any connections with the Virgin Mary or with a pagan element.
[...]

The far left, neo-marxism taking over the Catholic Church has reached a boiling point and the faithful appear to have had enough. We have been watching bishops dither around, excusing themselves from investigations when it comes to sexual abuse, refuse to answer legitimate questions about the change in the death penalty teaching, divorce, and now idol worship. They're out of their minds. It's time for action. Congratulations to the brave souls who acted in the footsteps of Christ who took a whip and drove the unclean things out of the house of God. Father Mark Goring has posted a great video about what has occurred saying he is surprised it hadn't happened sooner.
An excellent article, complete with videos. I urge you to read it. To an extent it mirrors events in the Protestant churches as church leadership forgets what Christianity is all about. https://pjmedia.com/faith/faithful-catholics-throw-amazonian-idols-displayed-in-the-vatican-into-the-tiber-river/

It's getting more difficult to write satire

Dana Mathewson

Those among you who are fans of The Onion can, I'm sure, relate to me when I say that for some years now it has often been difficult to read some of their articles and distinguish them from "real news." Such is the pretty pass the Left has gotten us to.

Now it's getting that way with the great satire site, the Babylon Bee. I just encountered one there titled "Liberals Clarify They Only Want Black Voices To Be Heard When They're Saying Liberal Things." Hey, we've known that to be true for some time now.
After some confusion was expressed by casual observers of apparent hypocrisy in their denunciation of Dave Chappelle's most recent comedy special, liberals from around the country clarified that they only want black voices to be heard when those voices are saying liberal-approved things.

The offended white progressives asked black comedian Dave Chappelle to "keep it down" and "maybe not talk so much" after his comments made them feel uncomfortable, sources confirmed Thursday.

Yep! Please go here https://babylonbee.com/news/liberals-clarify-they-only-want-black-voices-heard-when-theyre-saying-liberal-things to read the examples. It's a short article. While you're there, take a look around.

Venus Envy

Timothy Birdnow

Proctor and Gamble has taken a proctological gamble. The makers of Always feminine hygiene products has removed the Venus symbol from the Always packaging at the demand of confused activists.

From Newspeak, er, Newsweek, er, Newsweak:

Procter & Gamble (P&G) announced it would remove the symbol from its packaging after a number of campaigners said that the image was not inclusive of transgender individuals who were assigned female at birth and use the sanitary products.

A number of feminists voiced their displeasure with the decision and said they would boycott the brand from now on, with some stating the move was part of a concerted effort towards the "elimination of women's biology."

The decision to make the change came after Ben Saunders, an 18-year-old trans activist from the U.K. who was named campaigner of the year by the LGBT charity Stonewall, wrote to Always on Twitter to complain in June.

Always sanitary products
Always sanitary products will no longer have the Venus symbol after transgender people complained the packaging was not inclusive of transgender individuals who were born female that still required to use their sanitary products.Always

Saunders' request was followed by similar calls from a trans activist known as Melly Boom on Twitter, who asked why it was "imperative to have the female symbol on their sanitary products?"

They added: "There are non-binary and trans folks who still need to use your products too you know!"

Really?

First, if a trans is born a man but believes he is a woman then he still won't have a period and will have no need of this particular product. If he is a woman who thinks he is a man then he may need this product, but then he STILL is just a woman dressing and acting like a man. Either way, there are no actual men in need of this product. And even if we accept the argument that "transgendered men" have periods, doesn't that argue that a.they need hormones to stop it and b.they are at least still BIOLOGICALLY women - until they stop having periods? If they have periods they can get pregnant and have babies (possibly). That makes them women. There is absolutely no reason for P and G to acquiesce to these cross dressing activists.

Maybe I will sue for the right to wear a colostomy bag, or to have artificial legs marketed to people with two of them?  As to the latter, there actually ARE people who don't think they should have certain limbs and seek to cut them off. They are called xenomelia, or Body Integrity Identity Disorder. They are mentally disturbed individuals who "see themselves as legless" and so why should THEY be discriminated against by the makers of artificial limbs? Shouldn't prosthetics be marketed to them as well?

For that matter, there are people who dress up as babies and wallow around in their own filth in cribs. It's a condition called Infantilism. Shouldn't Gerber take that cute little baby off their products?  It's discriminatory against fifty five year old truck drivers who like to use their products while pooping their diapers.

Proctor and Gamble should be ashamed of themselves over this. And they aren't going to increase sales by one penny, as the people demanding they remove the Venus symbol are not buying feminine hygiene products anyway.

It amazes me how political correctness has come to dominate big corporate culture.

Be that as it may, I find it delicious that the Feminists are angry about tthis pucillanimous move by P and G. The article continues:

Feminist campaigner Julie Bindel told The Mail on Sunday: "Removing the female symbol from sanitary towel packaging is basically denying the existence of women. We're now moving towards the total elimination of women's biology. The women's symbol has been used by feminists for decades.

"This is pure cowardice and virtue signalling from these big corporate brands who are capitulating to the trans agenda."

She's right, and for once I find myself on the side of the Feminazis; it is a full frontal assault on femininity. But what right does the feminist community have to complain? THEY argued there was no qualitative difference between men and women for decades  (but that the female role was superior as a social construct) and they wielded femininity as a weapon of the war between sexes, and now that sword is proving to be double edged. Having won the war, women are now finding men wanting to be women. They have claimed "men are pigs" and "toxic masculinity" is such a problem, so why be surprised to find men horning in on their feminist turf?

You've come a long way, baby! Is this actually where you hoped to be?

So now feminine men are making an end run around feminist women. You demanded the right to usurp the male role, now you don't like it that some men are usurping the female. Turnabout is fair play, m'dears!

Warren wants the Fox in the Henhouse in Education

Timothy Birdnow

So, put the people who broke it in charge of fixing it? Isn't that exactly what you WOULDN'T do in any situation? Would you go back to a doctor who made you sick? To an accountant who got you put in Federal prison for tax evasion? I mean really!

Elizabeth Warren promises to fire Betsy Devos and replace her with an Education Secretary who "will listen to our public school teachers"

Meaning she wants a union thug in the position, one who will implement all of the  radical Progressive ideas like Common Core, transgenderism, and the rest. And the parents and the general public who fund education will get no say.

Shoplifting rises as Enforcement Drops

Timothy Birdnow

Here is the winner of the Captain Obvious award:

Shoplifting soars as prosecutors back off

From the article from CWB Chicago:

A CWBChicagoexamination of Chicago Police Department data found that retail theft cases are up sharply in recent years across the city and in its busiest shopping corridors.

The increase comes as Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx makes a public effort to back away from retail theft prosecutions. Attorneys in Foxx’s office are instructed to not pursue felony charges against shoplifting suspects unless the value of the pilfered merchandise exceeds $1,000. That’s three times the $300 felony threshold set by state law.

Since Foxx was elected in November 2016, retail theft reports are up 20% across the city. Along the posh Rush Street shopping district, reported incidents have more than doubled. And on State Street, famed in movie and song for its shopping opportunities, retail theft cases are up 32%.

Whoda thunk it?  Why, nobody ever knew enforcing the law actually made crime go down!

Mitt Romney using Fake Twitter Account to Attack Critics

Timothy Birdnow

Warner Todd Houston directs our attention at this:

Utah Sen. Mitt Romney Caught with Fake Twitter Account Used to Attack Detractors

This from Tim:

Romney is a sneaky, underhanded weasel. We should be grateful he lost the election, I suppose. While we would not have moved so far left with his mitts on things, we still would have continued the endless leftward roll. It was the embarrassment of  the GOP's last two nominees - McCain and then Romney - which started the rebellion against the Ruling Class RINO wing. Whether you love or hate or are indifferent to Donald Trump, at least you have to admit he was an attempt to break the ankle of the boot on our throats. THAT was long, long overdue. America needed to rebel against those who have killed the golden egg laying goose a long time ago.

The Scopes Monkey Trial....Again

Timothy Birdnow

Today marks the anniversary of the death of John Scopes. You may remember him; the Dayton Tennessee school teacher who answered the ad to test Tennessee's law banning the teaching of Darwinism as Gospel in public schools (the Butler Act). The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sought to challenge the law and Scopes answered their ad, agreeing to be the face of the "resistance". William Jennings Bryan prosecuted the case, and Scopes was defended by Clarence Darrow. The case was made famous by the propoganda play "Inherit the Wind" which falsely portrayed Bryan as a religious nut who was humiliated by Darrow on the witness stand. The reality is Bryan argued the case from the perspective of States Rights, and Darrow did get some barbs in after calling Bryan to the stand but Bryan held his own.

At any rate, during the Great Darwin Battle over a decade ago (in which I got into a nasty fight with some radical Darwinists, most especially the God-hating atheist P.Z. Myers) my brother Brian - a college history professor - wrote about the Scopes trial. I thought it would be helpful to reread it. Click on the More button below to read it all.

Kurdish female politician, who worked to unite Christians, Arabs, Kurds, executed in Syria

From the article:

Hevrin Khalaf, a female politician who worked to unite Christians, Arabs and Kurds in Syria was among nine individuals executed by a Turkish-backed group in the northeast region of the country, according to a human rights monitor.

Khalaf, the 35-year-old Future Syria Party’s secretary-general, was "taken out of her car during a Turkish-backed attack and executed by Turkish-backed mercenary factions,” along with her driver, said the political arm of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, local media reported.

"This is a clear evidence that the Turkish state is continuing its criminal policy towards unarmed civilians,” it added.

On Twitter,Brett McGurk, the former special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL, spoke of Khalaf’s efforts to foster tolerance in Syria and condemned her death as a "war crime.”
