The Russians bribed the Clintons to consummate the Uranium One deal, according to The Hill.
From the article:
"An FBI informant connected to the Uranium One controversy told three congressional committees in written testimony that Moscow routed millions of dollars to America with the expectation it would be used to benefit Bill Clinton's charitable efforts while Secretary of State Hillary Clinton quarterbacked a "reset†in US-Russian relations.
The informant, Douglas Campbell, said in the testimony obtained by The Hill that he was told by Russian nuclear executives that Moscow had hired the American lobbying firm APCO Worldwide specifically because it was in position to influence the Obama administration, and more specifically Hillary Clinton.
[...]
"Republicans are seeking to use Campbell’s account to expand their investigations beyond the 2016 election and Trump to possible questions about Russian graft during the Obama administration.
They note that the FBI found Campbell’s undercover work valuable enough to reward him with a $50,000 check in 2016. "
End excerpt.
The longer this goes on, the more it comes to the crux of Hillary and Obama. They may regret having started this "Russian collusion" investigation, since they themselves are up to their eyeballs in Russia Borscht.

Let's see how the donkeys explain THIS away!
I was wondering how long it would take before Zippy's name -- or in this case, acronym (potus) -- became implicated in this mess. And in texts between two rabid Trump-haters, no less. Do you remember the famous line from Watergate days? "What did the President know and when did he know it?"

And why not? Especially since it will annoy the heck out of the Left. I wish I could go and see it -- I haven't seen a decent parade in years, though that's partly because of the parking issues.
From Power Line:
Trump’s Parade: Greatest Troll Ever?
What a great headline: Trump’s ‘marching orders’ to the Pentagon: Plan a grand military parade. It is almost too good to be true:

But the idea of the Democrats continuing to step on rakes is right up there, as is "Nancy Pelosi, the gift who keeps on gibbering..."
David Dickinson replies:
I saw a comment this morning along these lines:
Pelosi stood and spoke for 8 hours in support of illegal aliens yet she refused to stand for even 8 seconds in support of Americans whose children were killed by illegal aliens.

The essential mechanism of democratic socialism, which Tocqueville explained perfectly with his warning about the threat of soft despotism, is the nanny state’s inviting web of progressive "help,†which gradually lulls well-meaning but compromised citizens into the immobility of moral paralysis, until they are ready to be devoured by a government with an endless appetite for human blood.
Take the case of the various grants and subsidies progressive states offer to "assist†private citizens and organizations in their efforts to do seemingly productive and beneficial things. These subsidies would immediately strike a rational adult as evidence of tyrannical manipulation, had we not all been inured to the concept over many generations of ever-expanding practice. Today, however, having become so inured, applying for such money seems not only justifiable, but almost the heart and soul of good citizenship.

In the United States and elsewhere, lobotomies were once seen as the cure-all for somemental illnesses.
Dr. Walter Freeman, an earnest advocate of experimentation on the human brain in order to "cure†mental illness, developed an inexpensive way to lobotomize mentally ill people. He inserted a kitchen ice pick -- later refined into an instrument called a leucotome -- into the eye orbit, punched the pick through with a hammer and swished the object back and forth in order to sever the part of the brain deemed responsible for mental illness, or even just bad behavior.

Stupor Bowl 52 saw a 3% decline in ratings from last years game show, and was the lowest in viewrship since 2009, despite a booming economy (which generally favors frivolity in the populace.) According to CNN Money
" The game, which saw the Eagles bring home their first Super Bowl trophy, brought in an average viewership of 103.4 million for NBC. That makes it the tenth-most watched program in U.S. television history. The viewership peaked at 112.3 million from 10 to 10:15 p.m. EST, near the end of the game.
The number is down 7% from the 111.3 million that tuned in for last year's Super Bowl, which saw the Patriots come back to beat the Atlanta Falcons. And it makes the game the least-watched Super Bowl since 2009."
End excerpt.
This despite the possibility of a record setting Patriots triumph as well as a record for QB Tom Brady, history in the making (had they won).
The article continues:
"The league saw its viewership dip roughly 10% overall this season. And broadcast TV as a whole has seen its numbers shrink this year as well, with its ratings typically falling more than the NFL's have."
End excerpt.
I boycotted it, except to flip it on for occasional updates, and I did wind up watching the last two minutes since it was in doubt. Funny; growing up, the Superbowl was rarely a good game, usually a blow out, and yet in the last decade or so it has been one of the best games of the season. Coincidence? I don't think so; the League clearly has taken steps to keep the game close. In that regard it is becoming increasingly like pro wrestling, a scripted affair. Maybe not fully scripted, but there clearly is an attempt to pick winners and losers and to manipulate the game. And we know for a fact that the New England Patriots have cheated on numerous occasions, stealing playbooks and planting clandestine surveillance that would make the Comey FBI jealous.
I'm surprised viewership wasn't even lower. And the NFL has it coming. Americans expect patriotism from our fellows, especially from those we bless with our hard earned cash. Insulting the National Anthem and by extension the entire country does not deserve to be blessed by us, or by the League that so wants our money.

On the leadup to the release of the House Intelligence Committee summary report (tagged a "memo" by the mainstream media to discredit it) there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth about the wrecklessness of releasing a document that could "compromise national security" . Democrats were beside themselves in demanding it remain classified, and the media had conniptions about Trump's unpresidential partisanship in releasing this damaging document. It was Armageddon, we were told, and Trump was the Worst President Even for allowing exculpary information to be released about a partisan witch hunt intended on brining down his Presidency.

You'll recall that, some weeks ago, a state employee in Hawaii sent out a live alert warning that Hawaii would be hit by an incoming ICBM. It created a near-panic and wasn't corrected until more than a half hour later. Now there's been another false emergency alert. These things are dangerous, costly, and unacceptable. From NBC News:OK, whodunnit? The NWS? They're supposed to be a professional outfit. Some residents along the East Coast received a false tsunami warning on Tuesday morning as part of a monthly test by the National Weather Service.
A tweet from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Charleston, South Carolina, said the alert was sent around 8:30 a.m. ET.
"We have been notified that some users received this test message as an actual Tsunami Warning," the NWS tweeted, adding that a tsunami warning was "not in effect."
In a statement to NBC News, the NWS said that a routine test was sent out and that the agency is investigating why it was communicated as an actual tsunami.
"The test message was released by at least one private sector company as an official Tsunami Warning, resulting in widespread reports of tsunami warnings received via phones and other media across the East Coast, Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean. We're currently looking into why the test message was communicated as an actual tsunami warning, and will provide more information as soon as we have it," the NWS said.
The push notification sent to phones in South Carolina was reportedly sent by the AccuWeather app, according to The Post and Courier of Charleston.
AccuWeather also tweeted that the notification was a test, not an actual warning.
COMMENT by William Katz, of Urgent Agenda: A presidential commission is required to look into all emergency services and their communications systems. Fortunately, no one was killed or seriously injured as a result of this latest blunder, but we can easily imagine serious accidents and deaths as people panicked and tried to get away from the incoming "tsunami."
Not acceptable. Serious action required.
I agree. Why, it almost appears that somebody, somewhere, is trying to cause trouble.
