James 1:7-8 : "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.”
I've been asked of late why I put so little faith in House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. The passage from the Book of James explains why.
McCarthy is a double-minded man. He frequently plays both sides of the issues. See here and here and here for a few examples. McCarthy's "business as usual" debt ceiling deal, for example, showed he's of a double mind.
I would remind everyone that McCarthy was a supporter of Donald Trump until he wasn't. He blew with the wind on that. See this. McCarthy urged Trump to resign over the J6 self-guided Capitol tour, for instance, showing he's not a fighter nor a very bright man.
The fact is the Freedom Caucus resisted McCarthy's elevation to Speakership precisely because they knew him to be vacillating.
And McCarthy was besties with Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor, both of whom lost all the respect from the GOP and even their own constituents. They called themselves the "young guns". If you can judge a person by the company they keep then McCarthy is a Neocon - as were both Cantor and Ryan.
I would remind you of what McCarthy said about the impending indictments of Donald Trump. He specifically states Americans shouldn't protest a Trump indictment.
Yes, this might have been sound strategy to avoid giving the Biden junta an excuse to circumvent the Constitution and stifle free speech. But it bespeaks a cowardly man afraid to take a stand against a very dangerous move by political rivals.
McCarthy just doesn't have enough spine.
McCarthy also has ties with people like Frank Luntz and he attended the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos.
so he's one of the internationalist types. Anyone who deals with Klaush Schwab and the WEF is my enemy.
I would point out that we've seen his ilk in times past and inevitably they betray us when push comes to shove. Paul Ryan is a prime example. Mitt Romney. John McCain. John Boehner. The list is very long and I could spend hours on it.
McCarthy has only done a reasonably good job because he's had a sword of Damocles hanging over his head. At any time any member of the House can declare the Speaker's seat open and remove him.
But Mr. McCarthy will have to show his allegiance to his true masters, the WEF and the Ruling Class. Conservatives are simply an irritant to him he must appease for now.
McCarthy was funded by a group of RINO donors to infiltrate and destroy the MAGA wing, according to Rolling Stone.
So I do not trust him. He serves two masters and he will love one and despise the other. History teaches us that the one he will love will be the one who can most benefit him - and that will be the Ruling Class. He'll end up despising us for taking the bread from his mouth.
The only way McCarthy is going to be faithful is if we make him. Mark my words.
