Who’s Putin’s mouthpiece?

Dana Mathewson

John Hinderaker writes in Power Line:

Despite the fact that public opinion is unusually united on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, quite a few people are being accused of sympathizing with Russia, parroting Putin’s propaganda, and so on. Some of these people have been accused–absurdly, I think–of treason. More about this later.

For now, let’s ask another question: who are those who actually have been mouthpieces for Putin and his predecessors, echoing Russian propaganda to the benefit of Russia and the detriment of the United States? The answer is, environmentalists. We have written about this a number of times over the years, for example herehere, and most recently here.

Now the estimable Dan Crenshaw offers a timely reminder:

Dan's got it right! Go here https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2022/03/whos-putins-mouthpiece.php for the entire article.

1 That is exactly right Dana; the Russians were huge promoters of the global warming scam in the West so they could take out the competition - and it worked. Environmentalists have been their biggest boosters.

BTW I've been seeing that a lot; anyone who tries to be even-handed on this gets accused of being a Russian troll. Happened to me yesterday.

Sheesh.

2 Nobody seems to get what's really going on, but they sure have loud opinions about it!

3 They sure do Dana. Opinions on this are like butts; everyone has one and they generally all stink.

4  If anyone read my comments they think I was sleeping with Putin. What Im trying to do is add the needed paint to the picture so its complete. And that would make me a Putin sympathizer.

5 Yeah Bill; you can't be even-handed on this subject lest you be called a comsymp.

My brother is a professional historian and his field is the 20th century. He tells me that this is exactly how it was on the runup to WWI. Anyone expressing even handedness in the issue was branded a Kaiser kisser.

William Jennings Bryan quit Wilsons cabinet because Wilson was so determined to blame Germany for everything in the war and excuse Britain. It's like that now.
