Weiss Made Special Counsel in Hunter Biden Case

Merrick Garland, the Consiglier of Joe Biden, has appointed David Weiss as Special Counsel to investigate Hunter Biden.
It was Weiss who offered the plea deal to Hunter Biden that would let him off the hook. Now he's the special counsel.
Just another coverup to take this off the table and immunize Joe Biden.
I caught NBC News reporting on this and even THEY could see the obvious; Weiss offered a deal to Biden, which means he was satisfied there was nothing more to find. Now he wants to be given more authority to investigate. It doesn't take a genius to smell the stink of corrption and a setup. Even NBC had to admit this point.

But Weiss can't be the Special Counsel. Garland seems not to know the rules, or is counting on others not to know them. Special Counsels cannot be members of the government. But Weiss works for the DOJ.

Dana, doesn't Weiss work for Delaware rather than the Federal government? Would that make a difference? I don't know the rules.
But I wouldn't be surprised if they simply ignored them as they do everything else that is inconvenient.
It's obvious why they did this; the investigation will preempt the House investigations, and much of the evidence will be sealed and witnesses gagged. It's a way to slow the House investigation down until after the election at least. And maybe stop it entirely.
This is why we need many impeachments. Garland needs to be first on the list.

Weiss is a US Attorney, nominally appointed by the president and confirmed by Congress. Appointing him Special Council is very much illegal. Garland knows very well that this is the case and is spitting in the eye of the courts and the American people - knowingly and deliberately. This is what Democrats do.
