Vote Early, Vote Often

Timothy Birdnow

Highest early voting taly in history in the New York City race.

What does that tell us class? It tells me the raasticals, er, radicals are flooding the zone with early votes so they have a commanding lead and won't need to manufacture so many fake ballots on election night.

I sincerely doubt these are people opposed to Mandami who are doing the early voting.Don't expect a surrge for Curtis Sliwa.

If I were Jewish and living in New York I'd get out of there as soon as this guy is elected.

I wish Eric Adams had been the guy everyone coalsced behind and not Andrew Cuomo. I suspect Adams could have beaten Momdani if that had been the case. I doubt Cuomo can win.

1 There was a great opinion piece in Fox News yesterday (no, I'm not going to search for it) BEGGING Cuomo to give New Yorkers reasons to vote for him -- because he has NOT done that and never will. If all those stiff-necked Gothamites could get themselves to vote for Sliwa, they might save the city.

Better yet, if Sliwa would fall on his sword and pull out of the race (like, two or three weeks ago), enough of his supporters MIGHT have switched to Cuomo to save the city.

And if wishes were horses, who knows who would ride?

2 Agreed all around. Cuomo was the worst pick for a knight on a white horse; he made a mess when he was in a high position before. And, as you say, he won't simply say why he deserves another chance.

Sliwa should have dropped out. His staying in does not speak well of him - especially as he has no credible chance of winning.

I believe the GOP should have gotten behind Eric Adams. He sucked but he was better than Cuomo and much better than Momdani. And since he owed his political survival to Trump and would then owe the GOP he would likely be the voice of reason in the insane tidal wave sweeping the city. He would have to advocate for the average New Yorker and not play to the lunatic fringe.

New York has survived terrible mayors before, but Momdani is of a whole order of magnitude worse. And he will energize the radicals across America, who have been desperate for a big win since Trump and the GOP won the day in '24.
