from The Blaze:
A 13-year-old Democrat is running for governor in Vermont in hopes that he will get to sign legislation to ban semi-automatic weapons, WNNE-TV reported.
....
He’s allowed to run for office because Vermont laws do not specify a minimum age to run for governor.
END OF QUOTE
Well, he's the same mental age as Bernie Sanders.
A WORD FROM dANA mATHEWSON: It's easy to discount this kid. But many intelligent adults really don't understand what's going on here. For one thing, they really don't understand the problems with the Background Check system -- how it is that not everybody who should be in the NICS database actually IS in the database (you DID catch how President Zippy and his sidekick Holder ordered the removal of 500K names -- I believe most if not all were illegal aliens -- from that database while they were in office) and you're also aware of the reindeer games played (again at Zippy's and Holder's orders) that kept people like the Parkland School shooter from being entered. And a liberal friend of mine who was just visiting me tonight INSISTED (I don't believe her, but Eddie will have the straight skinny) that some states do NOT require background checks for sales at gun shows (I believe this is only Leftist propaganda, frankly).
And far too many people believe that the AR-15 is a fully-automatic rifle, or at least a "lethal killing system." Well, it IS the latter, like every other gun in existence. But suddenly they're getting all lathered up because an AR-13 was used in ONE school shooting. Generally pistols are used. Frankly, my dear Scarlett, I don't give a damn WHAT gun was used; it's all beside the point. School shootings are the least deadly shootings we have in this country because there are so few of them. Any given weekend in Chicago is far worse; heck, any given DAY in Chicago is worse. A drive on a Los Angeles freeway is worse. Five times as many people are killed each year by knives as they are by guns.
I could go on and on, but why bother? I'm preaching to the choir here. But anytime any of you hears somebody praising these kids, please step up to the plate and disagree with him.
