It appears an investigation of Ukrainian influence is revving up at the DOJ.
From the article:
The Justice Department wrote a letter responding to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler after he demanded answers last week regarding news that the President’s "personal lawyer,†Rudy Giuliani, was relaying information on the Biden’s to the department.
Jerry Nadler claimed the DOJ accepting information from Giuliani "would seem to be a significant departure from traditional channels,†and says it raises "conflicts of interest-both for the Department, generally, and for you [Barr], specifically.â€
In the response, the DOJ confirmed a new investigation into Ukraine, and revealed that Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen has picked U.S attorney Richard Donoghue to supervise all investigations into Ukraine by federal prosecutors.
According to the DOJ, Richard Donoghue will "assist in coordinating … several open matters being handled by different U.S. Attorney’s Offices and Department components that in some way potentially relate to Ukraine."
