U.S. Sending Fighters to Persian Gulf

War is looming all over the globe. While most attention is on Ukraine and some on Taiwan, Iran is pressing and war could well break out there.
For instance, the U.S. is sending F-16 fighter jets to the Strait of Hormuz to protect shipping in the Persian Gulf from acts of piracy by Iran.
These will augment a group of A10 attack aircraft patrolling the strait.
This while Mr. Biden is busy trying to renegotiate the Iran nuclear deal.
Last week Iran tried to seize two oil tankers moving through the strait, firing on one of them.
Why is Iran doing this now? Because they have a strategic partnership with Russia and this is honoring their treaties with Putin. Also, they see they have a golden opportunity now that America is focused laser-like on Ukraine.
This could spiral out of control fairly quickly. If the Israelis feel threatened they could launch a strike against Iran and then the fertilizer will surely hit the fan.
War is looming all over the globe. And this because Mr. Biden has been weak and vacillating and showed he couldn't handle an international affair (like the Afghanistan withdrawel.) At the same time Biden is being belligerant, in Ukraine, in China, etc. and it's the perfect storm; a belligerent weakling. This is the stuff of disaster.
Such weakness and stupidity as displayed by the current Administration is just begging for attack.
As Mr. Biden ratchets up his war in Ukraine things will become ever more tense. Sooner or later somebody's going to light the fusz.

The A-10 was first in service in 1976, the F-16 in 1978. Not to say that they are not decent aircraft, but...

They are pretty old for sure Bill. But so much of our equipment is these days.
