Trump's Policies Breaking Democrat Machine

Timothy Birdnow

Here is an analysis of the long-term impact of Trump's immigration policies on California and elsewhere. A study by the Brennan Center suggests CA could fall to Texas as largest state in the Union, and lose maybe three Congressional seats.

The machine the Dems built to gain eternal power seems to be falling apart.

I remember James Carville crowing about how the GOP was destined to become a minority party because of demographics. How's that working out for you Serpent head?

1 Correct me if I'm wrong (I NEVER am, and if I am I NEVER admit it, of course) but I'm pretty sure that Snakehead made those statements when the Trumpster wasn't president, especially this term. The way the ball is bouncing for Donald in 2025, there's not enough moonshine in all of Louisiana to get Carville drunk enough to make those statements nowadays. Partisan he may be, but stupid he's not.

2 You are right - as always Dana. Serpenthead thought his party was destined for absolute power THEN.

I argued at the time demographics is NOT destiny, that politics is about what people think and believe, and that changes over time. The African American community, for instance, was once wholly Republican because they ended slavery. Few voted Democrat. But then Roosevelt came along and they were seduced by his promises and have been faithful to the Democrats since the Great Depression. Now that seems to be ending as more and more black folks turn to the GOP because they are realizing the Democrats lied to them all these years, and do not care about them except on election day.

Carville seemed to believe people's voting is hard-wired and will always go a certain way. So bring in a bunch of Third World types and they will turn into loyal Democrats and the Jackass Party will have eternal power! It's wrong on so many levels.
