Why should generals have eternal appointments? These clowns can't win wars; we've lost every war we've fought with the exception of the fight against ISIS under Trump, at least since Gulf War I. If a sports coach had that kind of record he'd be long gone.
If an employee of a corporation lost the amount of money and hardware they lost in the Afghanistan withdrawel they would be fired.
But here we are with the very same people running the military after having done an atrocious job over the years. All the generals seem to care about is social engneering.
I guess fighting climate change or racial discrimination is easier than actually facng down bullets. What does that make them? We used to call them cowards.

We started losing wars because we became overly concerned about avoiding civilian deaths, to the point where THAT became the main concern, rather than killing enemy combatants. We need to reverse our thinking.

Look at the casualties during the Civil War; Antietam saw
3,650 dorect deaths and another 17,000 wounded and that was just ONE battle. When we crossed the three thousand casualty landmark after a decade of the "war on terror" everyone wigged out.
Patton, like Grant, believed you take less casualties in the long run by taking some now. How do you pull off a band-aid? Fast and one sharp pain or slow and agonizing. Better to do it quick.

Agreed Dana. He was old school and that didn't sit well.
BTW In my comment I meant to say the Battle of Antietam. Forgot to mention that! That was just ONE battle in the Civil War.
