The Trump Administration is still promoting DEI in spite of making a show of ending it.
This has been ongoing for generations now. We've had set asides for minorities in government hiring now since the Second World War and for decades the government denied "race norming" despite the fact that the civil service exam was required for most positions and a disproportionate number of black folks wound up getting the jobs. When smoking gun proof was finally found they admitted to doing it - and said they wouldn't quit. The public let it slide and thus emboldened the Left to do ever more egregious discriminating against the majority.
Now even Donald Trump won't try too hard to stop it.
Until we cut off the head of the serpent the body will just regenerate. We have to destroy these programs in their entirety. I'm not sure why the people who surround him want to save this stuff but apparently they do.

You and I and everyone else we know would dearly like to end these programs. It's just that once you go about actually trying to do it, you find just how impossible it actually is. And it doesn't really have anything to do with discrimination. It has to do with how government programs work. I'm sure the Founders never intended government to work this way...

True enough. The problem is government isn't business and doesn't work like one. Rather it is immortal, as Rreagan so eloquently put it. But it can be done. Sadly there are still way too many holdovers in the Administration. Hegseth or any of the rest can have good intentions but be undercut by the Democrats who will foot drag, hoping to wait the Administration out.
