Donald Trump has foolishly sent out Kwanzaa greetings, and Ann Coulter takes him to task in an essay at Human Events.
From Ann's screed:
By that criterion, Karenga’s United Slaves was perfect.
Despite modern perceptions that blend all the black activists of the ’60s, the Black Panthers did not hate whites. Although some of their most high-profile leaders were drug dealers and murderers, they did not seek armed revolution.
Those were the precepts of Karenga’s United Slaves. The United Slaves were proto-fascists, walking around in dashikis, gunning down Black Panthers and adopting invented "African†names. (I will not be shooting any Black Panthers this week because I am Kwanzaa-reform, and we are not that observant.)
It’s as if David Duke invented a holiday called "Anglika,†which he based on the philosophy of "Mein Kampf†— and clueless public school teachers began celebrating the made-up, racist holiday.
Everett/Karenga also chose Christmas time because he wanted to compete with Jesus. He thought Jesus was "psychotic" and Christianity a white man's religion. So he essentially is the spirit of anti-Christ. He could just as easily chosen Juneteenth or picked a day in the spring or autumn. But he chose Christmas to set up a counterfeit religious heritage.
And hardly any black Americans celebrate this phony holiday. According to this article from back in 2012:
In 2006, a poll from the National Retail Federation found that only 2.3 percent of African-Americans celebrated Kwanzaa. That number has slipped in recent years. In fact it's estimated that only 500,000 out of America's 40 million blacks currently celebrate the holiday.
End excerpt
Texas A & M sociologist Stjepan Meštrović argues that Kwanzaa is a post-modernist construct intended to create a fake replacement for disdained traditional values. Since traditions are "racist" and "sexist" and must be eschewed, they must be replaced with something harmless. He's correct on that.
Coulter continues:
The FBI fueled the bloody rivalry between the Panthers and United Slaves. In the annals of the American ’60s, Karenga was the Father Gapon, stooge of the czarist police. Whether Karenga was a willing FBI dupe, or just a dupe, remains unclear.
[...]
Karenga’s invented holiday is a nutty blend of schmaltzy ’60s rhetoric, black racism and Marxism. The seven principles of Kwanzaa are the very same seven principles of the Symbionese Liberation Army, another invention of The Worst Generation.
In 1974, Patty Hearst, kidnap victim-cum-SLA revolutionary, famously posed next to the banner of her alleged captors, a seven-headed cobra. Each snakehead stood for one of the SLA’s revolutionary principles: Umoja, Kujichagulia, Ujima, Ujamaa, Nia, Kuumba and Imani. These are the exact same seven "principles†of Kwanzaa. (And here’s something interesting: Kawaida, Kwanzaa and Kuumba are also the only three Kardashian sisters not to have their own shows on the E! network.)
Kwanzaa praises collectivism in every possible area of life. It takes a village to raise a police snitch. When Karenga was asked to distinguish Kawaida, the philosophy underlying Kwanzaa, from "classical Marxism,†he essentially said that, under Kawaida, we also hate whites.
[...]
Kwanzaa was the result of a ’60s psychosis grafted onto the black community by the founder of a murderous black nationalist cult with the FBI’s seal of approval.
Kwanzaa emerged not from Africa, but from the FBI’s COINTELPRO.
End excerpts.
Kwanzaa is nothing but Marxist, racist, revolution wrapped in an African blanket. President Trump had no business addressing it at all.
I get it; he's been making a bid to peel off more black voters from the Democrats. But this isn't going to help any; most Presidents since Bush have paid it lip-service and there is no benefit gained. It is just more swampiana and if Trump really does represent change - as he so often has claimed - he would dismiss Kwanzaa as a swamplander fad, like pet rocks or WIN buttons (remember those from the Ford era? Whip Inflation Now!), or the nuclear freeze movement.
Trump is strangely willing to bend knee to the forms and protocols of the ruling class. I wish he would actually become more ideological - and quit listening to his daughter and her Establishment wannabee husband.
