1 Now, that's funny! I'm glad my coffee mug was safely on the desk when I read that. But then, I'm one of those dumb old people who's actually smart enough not to have coffee in my mouth when I see her name (or her acronym) in print.
Smart? She's so dumb I'd think she'd have a permanent headache! "Takes time to read and understand world history? Pardon me while I roll around on the floor laughing for awhile!

2 I made the mistake of engaging in conversation with one of these airheads a while ago, responding to a post regarding something that she was porposing and which she said was, "not a radical proposal."
I responded in support of the proposal, saying that it actually was radical, providing the definition of the word "radical," and saying that we cannot solve big problems with conventional thinking. I went on to say that such "thinking outside the box" was precisely what we needed to make changes that are needed.
I don't recall what the proposal was. Doesn't matter. She didn't seem to notice that I was supporting her, only that I had contradicted her claim that the proposal was "not radical." She took issue with the definition I provided and said that that was not what she meant by "radical."
I asked her what she did mean when she used the word, because if we were going to have a conversation, we could do so only if we agreed on the meanings of the words we used. She disagreed with that concept as well, and said that she could not tell me what she meant by "radical," but she knew what she meant and it didn't matter whether I knew what she meant or not.
I would suggest that these people are not smarter than anybody.

3 Notice above that she knew what she meant when she used the word "radical" but admitted that she was unable to convey that knowledge to me. Brilliant.

4 Bill, you might as well have been in conversation with Humpty Dumpty -- the Lewis Carroll version. Or the Supreme Court Justice who said he could not define pornography but could recognize it when he saw it.

That, er, person you were talking with is the kind of person we have greatly to fear, because they vote. And I'd say that SCOTUS Justice was equally to be feared, because in his job you'd certainly hope a person could at least define what he's ruling on.

5 Bill, that conversation gave me a headache!  Young people these days are apparently not taught logic or rhetoric.

6 Or much of anything else either, Tim. The Left has achieved the goal it started out on years ago.

7 Yep. Sadly, ignorance is NOT bliss as the young are angrier and more dissatisfied than ever.

The classic line from the move Animal House is pertinent here:

"Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son".  Add angry to that and you have the perfect Millenial.
