I was once working with a psychologist in a setting treating addictions. He said that I would never describe myself as being depressed, but that if I were depressed would manifest that depression as anger.


I kind of see Greta, being deprived of the childhood to which nature entitles her, having been removed from her friends, and not able to do the social things that her former friends are doing, as being profoundly depressed and manifesting that depression as anger.

She is a victim of child abuse.

2 Agree totally, Bill. And because she's not in a position to get back at the perpetrators, she blames someone/something else. This sort of situation is certainly common enough. And usually the victim, especially when this young, is the only one who can't see it.
