A few quick thoughts on the Baldwin shooting.
Even if Baldwin isn't guilty of reckless homicide he's still guilty of endangerment. And his prop master must face criminal charges.
But no doubt they will let him off and declare it "an accident". Well, did they let Derrick Chauvin off for accidentally killing George Floyd? Baldwin should face the same sentence as Chauvin.
Baldwin is a huge gun control guy. So why was he playing with a weapon when he believes they should be taken away from people?
BTW Baldwin called for Dick Cheney to be sent up the river when he accidentally shot a guy while bird hunting. Will he apply the same standard to himself now?

Dare we hope he learns anything positive from this experience? Like, "people who handle guns should know what they're doing?" People who drive cars have to know how to drive.

Ultimately Baldwin was the guy in charge. It was his project, so it is his 'nads in the nut cracker.
I agree; negligent homicide seems a likely charge. Not sure what NM state law defines it as, but I would imagine that would fit.

In the other articles, the lion's share of the blame goes to Assistant Director Dave Halls, who handed the gun to Baldwin and said it was "cold" when it was actually "hot." Halls comes under criticism for a number of things, and there had been three other "gun incidents" on the set already, which apparently are not being blamed on the inexperienced armorer. Halls' ass should be in a sling as much as, and maybe more than, Baldwin's.

Man, the facts keep coming out; before we know it, everybody on the set will be culpable one way or another.

Man, I wouldn't have wanted to work on that movie set for all the moolah in Hollywood!

I'm starting to thing of Casey Stengel when he first became the manager for the NY Mets: "Can't anybody here play this game?" (Though there were those who said that with Stengel's poor grammar, he probably said "Can't anybody play this-here game?") No matter. The principal is the same.

I feel kind of sorry for the armorer. She is finished.
