The Wages of Feminism

Jack Kemp

Even back after high school, in the last half of the 1960s, I was friendly with my high school homeroom teacher, a shop teacher and a Jew. He had married young to a daughter of a butcher. They had a daughter and the wife, whom I had met once or twice, had gone for a masters' degree and decided to divorce her husband. As he told me, a wealthy woman in his suburban town had said to him that his wife was lucky to have such a decent guy as her husband. Perhaps she thought that with a masters' degree, all the Manhattan hipsters and "sophisticates" would want to run to marry or have a long term relationship with a woman pushing 50 when there were so many young career women in NY in their 20s, 30s and 40s. And these younger women whose family had wealth and roots in a nice home (one would not be exaggerating much by calling their childhood homes "estates").

This public school teacher husband didn't fool around with other women, was a caring father and husband. Who did she think was going to marry her now at 50 - Robert Redford? Steve McQueen? Prince Charles?

Dennis Prager recenty had a single career woman call his radio program concerning this feminist fantasy life. Here are some introductory excerpts and the link to the article.

BEGIN QUOTE

A few weeks ago, a woman named Jennifer called in. For reasons of space, I have somewhat shortened her comments. Every young woman should read them. This is precisely what she said:"Dennis, I want to get right to it. I'm 50 years old with four college degrees. I was raised by a feminist mother with no father in the home. My mother told me get an education to the maximum level so that you can get out in the world, make a lot of money. And that's the path I followed.

SECTION OMITTED

"I want to tell women in their 20s: Do not follow the path that I followed. You are leading yourself to a life of loneliness. All of your friends will be getting married and having children, and you're working to compete in the world, and what you're doing is competing with men. Men don't like competitors. Men want a partner. It took me until my late 40s to realize this.

1 Echoing the earlier posting on how "equality" must die, which this is very much an example of, women are so hardwired for hypergamy that this pushing 50 years old woman threw away her existing life, did incalculable damage to her family, to pursue men who'd never even give her a second glance.  Feminism of course elevates that to a highest principle, and thus the West is utterly doomed, whatever follows might be called Western but will have little direct continuity with what we call the West today

I have to agree with Jim of Jim's Blog, who's latest posting, "Reacton 101: The reactionary red pill on women.", is precisely on this topic.  Read it, probably weep, but tell me there's any way we're going to get this under control, return to families that work, that don't routinely trash their children, even have them in the first place and in sufficient number for the middle to upper classes, and thus a society that works, without resuming the system where women are literally owned by a particular man at any point in time modulo widows, where those men are allowed to use any sanctions up to and including physical force to keep them in line.
