Correct; they were all in it together.
When Trump was running I posted a segment of an essay by a journalism professor who snarled "don't you dare ignore us Trump". I knew at that time they were working with Hillary and the national security apparatus to take him out. They would lie, cheat, and beclown themselves to stop or remove him.
I was not a Trump man at the time. But I knew where this was heading - and it went there. Now the media is stripped bare for all to see. Sadly, much of the country still refuses to believe their lying eyes; it's easier to pretend then face so grim a reality.
Illusions are often pleasant. But in the end they will only hurt you.
The reality is this isn't our country - it is theirs. Or so they believe. They were not going to let us take it from them.

I was originally a Cruz guy -- although I knew he was basically unelectable because -- well, he's not exactly Mr. Warmth. (I still like him.) But when Trump got the nod, I was "all in."

I was a Cruz man too and suspected Trump was an agent provocateur there to split the GOP. I thought they pretended to hate him to build up his bonafides with the conservatives. I was wrong.
While he made a lot of mistakes (and still does; he just doesn't think ideologically) he had our best interests at heart and did try to restore the country. His policies were good, by and large.
Yeah; Cruz is no warm fuzzy. He'd been good on SCOTUS.
