The Ugliness of Atheism

On Facebook Mary Kay Barton [posted about a [link=https://bit.ly/3HxTSef?fbclid=IwAR1i3ZmmeMxzVyX-jNGaEWWTiIQ8HXGijUfyh3EYg-nPC4LMJNK-3WhtOQo]pro-abortion statue and about the ugliness of modernism.

I replied:

They hate beauty because they first hate God, the source of all beauty and kindness and joy. So they build monuments to their own monstrosity. Evil walks among us.

An atheistic buffoon named Caleb Lassiter Lassitered out at me:

Your imaginary friend isn’t real. Grow up.

I liked being so well tee'ed up! My reply:

Caleb Lassiter And you are certain of that exactly how? Who needs to grow up?

Throughout history people have believed; you atheists are a very small minority and you have zero proof of your extraordinary claim.

You know more than Galileo, then Newton, then Robert Boyle, James Clark Maxwell, Michael Faraday, George Mendell, etc.?

To quote Henri Poincaire "To doubt everything, or, to believe everything, are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.".

A mature and wise person would actually think on this and not merely spout off God-hating platitudes which deny His existence sans evidence to the contrary. There is considerable evidence for His existence - the Big Bang, abiogenesis, the Anthropic Principle, the Golden Ration in nature, etc. all suggest the existence of God. Basically you and yours plug your ears "I can't HEAR you!" because God's existence is inconvenient for you and you are probably angry with Him so you do what you can to strike out - by denying His existence.

Foolish; it's like denying gravity exists. Step off a cliff and you learn it does very quickly.

Every civilization has embraced a God or gods. There are some that did not, and they fell quite quickly. The most recent example being the old Warsaw Pact countries, which sneered at the idea of God. Where are they now?

Your attitude is precisely why art is so ugly these days. It is a reflection on the soul of modernity, which is blackened and ugly itself in it's denial of the source of beauty.

Mary Kay Barton adds:

Exactly correct Tim. #23 of the Communist Manifesto that was read into the Congressional Record in 1958 reads:

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

And I reply:

Exactly Mary Kay! Art doesn't necessarily follow life- it can lead it. That is why our modern art is so ugly; gangsta rap, stick figure painting, overly sexualized everything. The radical Left knew that if they could move art they could move society.
