The Trump Endgame

Timothy Birdnow

So what do these prosecutors hope to achieve with the endless multiple indictments of President Trump?

Yes, the dream is to see him frog-marched to Federal or state prison, but that would just be the cherry on top.

Smith and Bragg and whatchu talkin 'bout Willis know most of these indictments won't stick as all of them are clearly bogus. But they will jury shop and judge shop and find at least one jury that will convict Trump on at least one charge. One is all they need.

See, in a  number of  states you cannot get on the ballot with a felony. If Donald Trump is convicted his name will not appear on the ballots of some key swing states. It's true in my home state of Missouri. The statute states:

"No person shall qualify as a candidate for elective public office in the state of Missouri who has been found guilty of or pled guilty to a felony under the federal laws of the United States of America or to a felony under the laws of this state or an offense committed in another state that would be considered a felony"
Statute 115.306
End excerpt.

So Donald Trump could not win Missouri, except through a write-in vote, and even then the state law may well be used to deny him a slate of electors.

And it won't just be in Missouri. Iowa has a similar law. So does Maryland. So does Wisconsin. So does Michigan. So does Arizona.

And a number of other states have unclear statutes.

Normally this would be a good thing, but the Left, ever eager to subvert any law to their advantage, has used this to try to steal yet another election.

The only bright spot here is that many of the states that are currently in dispute may wind up with Trump on the ballot because the Left pushed reforms through that restored felon voting rights and right to run for office. Florida is a prime example; the Florida Democrats may have shot themselves in the foot with this.

At any rate this is unquestionably election tampering. Why didn't Bragg or Smith or Willis bring these charges two years ago? Why did they wait until a year before the election?

This stinks of Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama was a vote thief; it's what he did for a living when he worked for ACORN and Saul Alinsky. And Obama never actually won an election until he won the Presidency; his political victories always consisted of clearing the field and running unopposed.

He used the rules to win (steal) his first election. https://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/29/obamas.first.campaign/

When he was elected to the U.S. senate Obama pulled a dirty trick; he got a court to unseal the divorce record of his rival, former Illinois governor Jack Ryan. Ryan's wife (the Star Trek Voyager actress Jeri Ryan) had made some unsavory accusations against Ryan, common in a contested divorce. But Obama used it to force Ryan out of the race at the last moment, guaranteeing his victory.
https://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/06/25/il.ryan/

In other words he cheated. But then he knew how to cheat, making his bones in Chicago.

So this whole Trump prosecution business fairly reeks of Barack Obama.  This is exactly how he would have played it. (What kind of human being is Barack Obama? The man has no soul.)

And it was Barack Obama who initiated the Russian Collusion hoax, tasking the FBI with investigating Mr. Trump. https://conservativebrief.com/fbi-official-75630/?utm_source=CB&utm_medium=DJD&fbclid=IwAR37sEnAgEzYKDrirLK4Af33Y14bd_bmrPHad-WkIuEos4BSPXnlad4EhDQ]

Obama has been behind this all along. He promised to fundamentally change America and he stayed in Washington to see to it that his plot come to fruition (ex-Presidents customarily leave town and return home so as to avoid overshadowing the current President.)

And if by some miracle Trump dodges all the indictments, they can just make more. And if he is still elected they can always go to the final solution.

In 2008 Alaska Governor Ted Stevens, a RINO Republican but a Republican, was indicted on bogus charges. The prosecution ran amok, hiding exculpatory evidence and generally indulging in horrendous prosecutorial misconduct. Stevens was convicted and run out of town on a rail. The Democrats stole the Senate seat. His convcition was overturned, but what did it matter? They won, he lost. The GOP remained silent and did not retaliate in kind. That taught a valuable lesson to the Democrats. They pulled this again and again. They destroyed Missouri Governor Eric Greitens in much the same way and there was no pushback. https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2018/05/the_great_greitens_railroading.html

This coincided with the destruction of Todd Akin in Missouri, of Roy Moore in Alabama, and a ferocious assault on Brett Kavanaugh. Of course the Democrats had gotten away with this in the past, with Clarence Thomas, with Robert Bork, with James Watts. They had endlessly investigated George Bush Sr. and Jr., as well as Ronald Reagan, and had driven Richard Nixon from office as well as Vice President Spiro Agnew. They knew then nothing would happen to them. Now they are weaponizing the law itself and still no response from the GOP.

It's an asymmetric war being waged and the Republicans STILL aren't in the fight.

I don't know what it will take to get the GOP to take a stand. Stealing electins doesn't bother them. Nor does the prosecution of their members for illigitimate reasons. Nothing seems to light a fire under these people.

Trump is the only guy who was willing to fight. He's likely to die for it, either metaphorically or in actuality.

At any rate, the prospects are gloomy indeed. Another candidate will lose, I have no doubt. But they will stop at nothing to stop Trump from returning. Sadly too many in our own party refuse to fight back even now.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on the legal actions against President Trump and the potential implications for elections and political strategy. The connections drawn between past incidents and the current situation highlight the intricate nature of the political landscape and raise important questions about the role of legal actions.

2 Trump may not survive this! What's happening here is the exact same thing that used to happen in the USSR, with "enemies of the State."
Likely, we will never see a fair election in this country again! Those who are saying we've become a banana republic are too soft. We have become a Communist Dictatorship!
Pray for Trump and his family, and pray for the country! It's all we have left to do.

3 The qualifications for President of the United States are set by the US constitution. No state may alter them. The Missouri ban of felons from the ballot applies only to state office and cannot, by law, apply to federal office. Federal courts, including the Supreme Court have ruled on this repeatedly. States cannot set rules for federal office. Period.

4 Bill, what they are doing is deciding who will appear on the ballot, not who may run in this instance. Keep a guy off the ballot and he'll likely lose - except in a few rare instances where there have been successful write-in campaigns.

Since states handle that end of things they can in fact do this.

It may be the Trump people can challenge these laws in court, but it's doubtful they will get a final ruling from SCOTUS in time. Trump will likely be convicted late in the campaign. So even if SCOTUS rules he can be on the ballot it will probably be after the election. Better luck next time, old chum!

Remember, there are third parties who regularly run candidates for President that never get on the ballot. The Constitution Party for example. You can't say they didn't have the right to run so they can't seek redress from the courts. They were just left off the ballot because of state qualifications.

5 Thanks Nicholas!

6 Dana, I agree. This is essentially a Communist takeover of America, and it happened while our champions slept. Even now many on OUR side (supposedly) hate Trump so much they won't stand up for him. This is disgraceful. It's how nations die.

Yes, we all need to pray for him and for the United States of America.
