The Trouble With Solar

Here's a short-but-to-the-point article in Power Line that points out one of the key problems with solar power: Solar panels don't generate electricity at night, nor do they during the day when they are covered with snow. As they are at this time of year in Minnesota.


Something else not mentioned in the article: there's not much you can do with the land underneath the panels. You can't grow food crops, for example. You may be able to graze cattle, until Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez does away with them. Oops, I forgot; the panels will cut off the sunlight and the grass will wilt and die, so the cattle -- and any other animals in the area that rely on grass for their daily meals -- will starve.

Oh, well. . .
