Now they are saying that we are destroying the planet by pumping groundwater. We have, they claim, pumped so much groundwater that, "Earth tilted nearly 31.5 inches east in the last thirty years" as a result. It gets farther and farther distanced from reality.

Yeah Bill; that's the impetus for this "saving water" mantra even here in the eastern part of the country where our problem is usually flood and not drought. Of course, if you control water you control the population and they know it. Again, it's the hydraulic empire theory in practice.
