This hits the nail on the head.
From the article:
I don’t know about you, but that’s made me police what I say less. If I can’t win, why bother even trying? And that, in essence, is the solution– but I’ll get back to that.
Political correctness is nothing new. But it’s clearly been escalating in recent years.
For instance, we’re now supposed to believe that gender is a social
construct, BUT you can get gender confirming surgery by altering your
sex organs. So gender doesn’t correspond to sex, but by changing sex
characteristics
And when someone declares themselves the opposite gender, we are expected to pretend they have changed sex– a biological impossibility, since sex is denoted by X and Y chromosomes, which at this point in scientific development, cannot be changed.
It’s basically Orwellian double-think, where you are supposed to believe two contradictory "facts†at the same time. But just saying all this would make countless SJWs label me "transphobic,†as if I had some problem with the people themselves, as opposed to the psychological operation being run on the masses.
Which, by the way, the victims I am most concerned about are the young, vulnerable trans people convinced to make permanent body and life altering medical decisions– many who later come to regret it– egged on by people who don’t care the slightest about actually helping these people feel more comfortable in their own skin, and only care about pushing a social agenda."
The trans people are suffering, as truly as a schizophrenic or a depressed person suffers. But our response is radically different; we are complicit in their disease, not treating it. And why? So much of this is about fundamentally transforming our civilization and creating the socialist world-girdling utopia about which the Left has always dreamed.I would point out what we are witnessing is called monism. The idea is that all things are interconnected and cannot be taken outside of a larger context. This has been at the root of so many terrible ideologies, from Marxism to Fascism, to Nazism. If you read Mussolini's The Doctrine of Fascism you will see this thinking plainly; Mussolini advocated a society that is intimately involved in all aspects of life. The Nazi top brass were all members of the Thule Society (except perhaps Hitler, as no records show he ever joined) which was a Theosophistic movement that taught all religions were essentially the same and borrowed heavily from all of them. In short, the Thule Society was monistic, and Nazi philosophy was heavily monistic. I need not even mention the Communists, who wanted a world that was entirely monistic.
That is essentially what political correctness and "woke" culture is today. It's the mixing up of different things under the political umbrella to make them indistinguishable and thus manageable by the Left. It's their tool to attain power. It's why Barack Obama made it NASA's mission to do Muslim outreach, or gave firearms to stolid government bureaucrats. There is no categorizing in this mindset. EVERYONE is intimately, intrusively involved in everyone else's business all the time. That way nobody can stray from the purity of Progressive thought.
The article states:
Yep. Americans are divided, which is the key to victory for the Left.
They knew what they were doing when they began pushing these mask mandates and "shelter in place" orders.
But the real kicker in all of this was how COVID-lockdowns have made us compartmentalize. The politicians have tried to convince us to shun the family, friends, and support groups we do get along with.
The amount of fear being spewed from the corporate media made families fight over who was invited to holiday parties, and who was the dirtiest among them, likely to spread COVID."
And we've created a situation where people with no connection to the authorities are yelling at - even assaulting - people for not wearing masks or social distancing.
In other words, we have a tattle-tale, brutish culture now amazingly similar to what the Bolsheviks had in their heyday. You have to fear being denounced by your neighbors.
In the Book of Revelation it is said Christ will destroy his enemies "with the sword of His mouth and the brightness of His Coming". What does that mean? In my mind it means His words will cut and His Truth will shine forth. Truth and disdain for political correctness are our weapons. They can perhaps shut our mouths through violence but as long as those mouths refuse to tell lies they are powerless. Deep down they know it, which is the whole point of cancel culture.
