The New Democrats and their Vision of the Future

It seems to me that modern day Democrats have adopted the post modern belief that there is no overarching moral obligation. The only relevant criteria is power (and pleasure).

The modern Left comes out of the tradition of radical atheism and a belief in the malleability and objectivity of reality. As a result they believe reality is democratic, and what we think of as real is merely what a majority of the people believe. It can be changed if enough people change what they believe.

Without an outside definition of reality it then becomes a matter of power; who holds it, who wields it, and who imposes it. They figure if they have the power they can change the world. Power is all that matters. There are no moral codes to be followed because those are mere tools of the old order to control the masses.

You can see that clearly in the Communist Manifesto:

"There are, besides, eternal truths, such as Freedom, Justice, etc., that are common to all states of society. But Communism abolishes eternal truths, it abolishes all religion, and all morality, instead of constituting them on a new basis; it therefore acts in contradiction to all past historical experience.”

The current ruthlessness of the Democrats shows they are now Communists and not left-of center republicans.

The ends now justify the means, no matter how vicious or evil.

Bob, says: "Apparently, they think a relaxation of criminal law enforcement will win them votes in certain key demographics."

I refer you to Saul Alinsky ""rubbing raw the sores of discontent." You do that by creating chaos in society and you do THAT by starting a crime wave. The public, desperate for order, will accept any draconian steps necessary to restore peace.

This is a trick of the Left as old as they are. Hitler used it. Lenin used it. Every tyrant has.

I would argue the enormous influx of aliens transcends electoral politics. It is about replacing America with a new nation, one that will allow them to reign over them. Read what an aid to former Mexican President Vicente' Fox said of the push to bring in aliens. He was puzzled by the fact the GOP was as eager. These people see themselves as the new Founding Fathers, creating a new America, one that rejects the principles of the old Republic.
