Israel was Giving Patriot Missiles to Ukraine

Timothy Birdnow

Interesting; the Israelis and Ukrainians have generally despised one another as the Ukrainians have a long and sordid history of anit-semitism.

In First, Zelensky Confirms Israel Sent Patriot Missile Battery To Ukraine, With More On Way

This shows the Ukrainians are desperate - desperate enough to ask for help from Israel.

It also shows a very poor lack of judgement on the part of Netanyahu and the Israelis as they can ill-afford to give up any weapons at this point; they are going toneed everything they have.

Trump will have to punish them for this, I fear (unless it was Trump himself who asked them to do it - not an impossibility.)

Israel has sought to stay out of the fray in Eastern Europe, sending humanitarian aid but little else. They do not want to provoke Rrussia, which can still drive events in the Middle East.

It is theorized Israel did this in response to deepening ties between Russia and Iran. But it couldlead to Moscow intervening in the war in Palestine in favor of Hamas.

This may be a far more serious escalation than anyone believes at present. Moscow is mad about losing Syria as it's warm-water Mediterranean port anyway. They may try to find a new port; an independent Palestine could well serve.

Imagine the Russian navy based in Jaffa, next door to Tel Aviv!

I doubt Israel would allow that, nor the U.S., and if there was a danger of such a thing happening it could lead to war.

Russia only has a few year round ice-free ports. St. Petersburgh on the Blatic (of which they own atin sliver), the ports on the Black Sea (all of which can be closed easily by blocking the Bosporus and Dardenelles), Vladivostok (at the end of everywhere), and that is pretty much it.

During WWII the Russians had to be supplied via deliveries to Archangel and other Arctic ports, which were closed much of the time.

So the Russians have always needed a Mediterranean port from which to operate and run their navy. It used to be Syria.

The Russians have long held a pro-Arab policy, too, in defiance of America's support for Israel. It was Russian meddling in the region that has led to the constant terrorist warfare against Israel. (The Russians figured there were a lot more Arabs than Jews.) The Palestinian cause is the cause for the Arab world, and largely because they believe that where Islam sets it's flag it must never be moved. They want to take back Spain and Bulgaria and Greece too, but it infuriates them the Jews took the Holy Land away from them. The call Israel a "Crusader state" and conflate that with colonialism. But it's not; the Jews were always there, before, during, and after. Just more Jews came in and made a new nation from the British territory, territory won in WWI from the Ottoman Turks. It was the Turks who were the colonialists, from the time the Seljuk Turks conquered the region.

At any rate Russia has always championed the Islamic cause and they support Iran now. If Israel meddles in the war with Ukraine they will take action of some sort. Depending on how the war is actually going (we get lies from our media about it) the Russia response will be either muted or not. But respond they will; they'll have to. Giving weapons to an enemy in time of war is an act of war.

The Russians can get the Arab world on their side by backing Palestine in the conflict.

So little by little we keep ratcheting this thing up. I know; Putin is as guilty of that as anybody. But SOMEBODY has to be the adult in this room. This is how nuclear wars start.

Blithering Blumenthal

Timothy Birdnow

Not sure if he's this self-unaware or if he's just this hypocritical.

"My colleagues have to draw a line. My Republican colleagues have to grow a spine here. For a decade, I have been waiting time after time, the Mueller Report, the impeachment trial, again and again, for Republicans to say it is a bridge too far,And, in effect, to say, we need to reserve basic norms, essential rules that protect all of us. And the old saying, what comes around, goes around. Today it’s a Republican president, but degrading the democracy and ruining, literally perverting the great ethos and tradition of the Department of Justice.”

Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal.

Who crossed the line? It wasn't the Republicans, or Trump. It was the Democrats who started by spying on Trump and fostering a lie about how Trump was a traitor to America by working for the Russians in order to achieve power. It was the endless innvestigations into things they knew were not crimes. It was the twisting of Trump's words to gin up fury. It was the endless rage, the rage that led to two assassination attempts on trump and assassination attempts on Republicans across the country.

And who changed the norms? Trump merely fought back.

Now the cowards are trying to hide behind norms, and the presupposition of Blumenthal's argument is that Trump is coming for Comey personally in retribution. NOT that Comey committed a crrime, oh no! Comey was personally involved in the attempt to take Trump out yet Blumenthal says it's TRUMP who is the bad guy here. (BTW Trump did not indict Comey; he was indicted by ajury of his own peers in a Democratic area.)

Where was Blumenthal's concern for norms when the FBI planted spies in the Trump campaign? When they entrapped his people (like Popodopoulis, or Mike Flynn)? Where was he when Obama ordered the creation of a new threat assessment after one came out saying Russians hadn't interfered in the election? Where was he during the many hearings when Democrats wouldn't allow Trump's defense to call witnesses? Where was he when they lied about what Trump said to the Ukrainians (for which they impeached him) or for what he said about Charlottesville, or when he asked protesters on J6 to peacefully protest? Where was he they broke every rule by which politics operated to get Trump out of office?

So now the wheels of justice are starting to turn and he calls that a breech of norms, because he knows trials will bring out exactly what he and his cohorts have been doing.

For eight years now people like Blumenthal have argued nobody is above the law (after years of making the Clintons and Obamas and just about every other Democrat above the law). Now he doesn't like the law being applied to his side.

There will be a special place in Hell for guys like this.

The Horror Hour

Timothy Birdnow

Very interesting - an not just a little bit frightening!

U.S. Scientists Assembled Viruses That Were Designed by AI — They Were Shocked When They Started Hunting Down Bacteria and Reproducing

As the article observers, this sounds like the beginning of a doomsday movie.

How long beforeAI and automation make the human scientists unnecessary to the process? And what happens if the AI decides human beings ARE the virus and need tobe removed?

Apparently scientists at Stanford devised tthis program which led to AI generating a virus capable of hunting down and killing e-coli.

This has potential for great good; you could cure diseases with such a plague. In time this could lead to a sci-fi dream; the creation of nanobots to repair human bodies, giving us immortality, or nearly enough. Fix things as fast as they break down and you live forever! But there is a terrible price for immortality, and many S-F writers have testified to that; a slowing of progress, a society where the top people in a field remain on top forever, boredom, ennui, disappointment, despair. Norms will be tossed out just to liven things up. The old will perform anti-social acts just to keep some spice in their lives. I would add life probably would become very cheap as it's hard to take it away; people won't value it and murder would become common.

At any rate that's if this would turn into nano-tech.

There is another thing to ponder; directed panspermia. DP is the theoryclung to by people who understand Darwinian evolution couldn't happen as quickly as it did on Earth and so look for an answer. Their answer is that aliens seeded the Earth. As I've pointed out to many in the Darrwin crowd (who dispute DP for reasons very similar to my own) aliens would likely be seeding Earth for colonization and would have a pre-planned course of evolution. This tech could actually do that in time; stop unwanted mutations and keep the genome on the pre-planned course. We may want to use it in the distant future ourselves if we plan to terraform, say, Mars.

But I think the danger isn't worth the risk, most espeically if we surrender control to a computer intelligence.

Increasingly it's obvious we need the Three Laws of Asimov. They are 1.A robot (or AI) cannot harm a human being, or through inaction allow one to come to harm 2.A robot must obey the orders given it by a human being except where those orders conflict with the first law and 3.a robot must protect it's own existence except when that conflicts with the other two laws. Asimov's rules were not just written; they were built into the robot brains and these algorithms could not be overwritten without destroying the machine. A robot that even accidentally hurt a human being would have it's brain short circuit and it would die.

Until we figure out how to do such a thing AI is too dangerous a tool to play with. We've even understood that for centuries, with stories first of gollum, then Frankenstein, and then robots and crazy computers like HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

In fact what we are trying to do is create our own god, a god who represents the best and worst of our own hearts. The one true God will not tolerate this, I assxure you. I believe this is the sin that will ultimately lead to the near total destruction of humanity and the Earth. The First Commandment makes it clear we are not to do this. God punished the Israelites severely for worshipping false gods. How much more will He punish us?

As long as we keep them as machines, blind and mindless servants, it won't be a problem. But AI is a whole different thing. We seek to replace God with AI. it won't end well.

Trump's Doomsday Scheme

Timothy Birdnow

You gotta be kidding me!

Trump Plan Backs Tony BlairasPostwar Gaza Leader

Blair was a reject from Monty Python's Flying Circus and an incompetent boob to boot. During his tenure of office as Prime Minister of Britain he showed zero aptitude for foreign affairs, most especially in the Middle East.

I would like to remind Mr. Trump that Blair was a Labourite. The Labour Party is left of the Democrats and always has been.

The stupidity of this plan overwhelms. It places the corrupt and useless United Nations in charge of Gaza. How does anyone believe that a U.N. occupied Gaza will be fundamentally any better than it is right now?

U.N. "peacekeeping" has worked out so well in days gone by. I mean, just look at Somalia...

Who really believes this is a good idea? Eric Idle is a great comedianne, but who wants him in charge of world peace? (Actually Mr. Idle would do a better job than Blaire, I'm convinced.)

The Wall Street urinal argues that Blair oversaw the peace deal in Northern Ireland. He was in office atthe time but that deal was long in the works and was coming no matter who was in office.

The WSJ article states:

"The United Nations-backed body would control the enclave for at least several years, staffed in part by Palestinian technocrats and supported by an Arab-led international peacekeeping force, until it could hand over full control to the Palestinians, officials say.

So the U.N. and ARABS will be in charge there! Isn't that pretty much what has been the problem all along in Palestine; the U.N. was present and actively supporting Hamas in Palestine and with the blessing of the Arabs. And Tony Blair, international man of mystery, the guy who has his nose buried as far as it will insert into the rectal cavity of the World Econoomic Forum and George Soros's backside will be the top man. Yeah; that's really going to work out well!

If Trump backs this he's lost his marbles.

The article conntinues:

"But the plan’s broad outline has been received well so far by several Arab countries and some Palestinian leaders, and its backing by Trump means it likely has the best chance of success of any plan so far, analysts say.

If Arab countris and Palestinian leaders like this plan it means it's total dog poop. A credible plan will anger both of these groups to a greater or lesser degree.

The reality is this would take Israel's security out of their hands and give it to an international body that hasshown supreme hostility to Israel in the past. It's a recipe' for disaster. U.N. meddling has been the primary reason why the Palestinian Israeli conflict has burned on for decade after bloody decade; if the U.N. and the great powers had stayed out of it Israel would have won, rebuilt the area forthe Palestinians, and there would be peace. Trump wants to put the fox in charge of the henhouse.

This conflict can only end with one side winning. If Israel wins the Palestinians will have to swallow their pride. If Palestine wins the land will have to swallow the dead bodies of all the Jews. There really isn't any other option.

The  Bible warns that in the last days Israel will be completely surrounded by her enemies. This plan would make that happen. This is a doomsday scheme.

Let us hope and pray this is a plan coming from the embedded Deep State and that Trump will avoid this quicksand.

Fare thee Well Dialup

Timothy Birdnow

This makes me sad; the end of an era.

America Online (AOL) just announced it is discontinuing dialup internet service.

I had AOL from the time I got online at the end of the nineties until I switched to Netzero, my current provider, where I still use dialup. If it ain't broke don't fix it, sez I.

But it's sad to see it go. Now there are no economical options for people who just want basic service without all the bells and whistles that cost so much. I don't need streaming services and cute little graphics; I just want text and maybe basic photos.

Of course my ability to connect has become increasingly limited as websites all update to more tech and leave the older stuff behind. I recently lost Google because they no longer support my systems. A pox upon them! I lost Facebook a while ago for the same reason.

We live in an Alvin Toffler world, where change for change's sake is the norm. Does all this change really benefit us in a material way? In some ways many of the innovations are wonderful but are they worth the price? Our young are essentially drooling idiots, incapable of independent thought. If ita ain't in the machine they cannot conceive of it.

Dialup limited the machine and made a buffer between our thoughts and it's thoughts. I think slow computers were a benefit to society. While we need fast computers for things that actually require computers I think personal computers should slow down so people have time for their minds to follow. Right now everyone is on a runaway roller-coaster.

So beware the electronic Beast; it rises out of the sea of electrons with it's digital claws set for the American mind. And mourn the dialup system, which gave us so much but in the end fell to the rising tide of civilizational suicide.

Daylight Savings Health Problems?

Timothy Birdnow

Oh balogna!

Changing clocks for Daylight Saving Time linked to potentially deadly brain condition threatening 300,000 Americans

I get why people don't like switching the clock, butthese days health nazis make every issue into some sort of health emergency with specious data and outlandish, unprovable claims.

I wish we would get back to actual science. The Western world has done precisely what Nietzche warned was coming; science has dug up it's own fundamental principles and rejected them. Now all science is "political" insofar as it serves an end rather than is science for science' sake. And since novelty gets noticed every bit of "research" is aimed at some sort of new and wild conclusion that will get noticed, while at the same time acting to support core principles of the funders of science, who just so happen to be government and the Rruling Class.

It's just like eugenics back in the day; that served the Ruling Class at the time, arguing that some were "more fit" than others and therefore should be given special privileges. That was junk science then and we've had nothing but junk science ever since to no small degree.

I've heard atheists call religion superstition and say we need "more science" yet science has become increasingly superstition and falseclaims and belief over reason. What do they mean by "science"? The orthodoxy, which produces results desired by the funders of the research? Or real science which looks first to the universe and then draws conclusions from that?

Certainly we don't have that these days. We have climate science which does not comport with actual events on the ground but rather is a series of models. We have science telling us there are multiple "genders" when in fact it's crystal clear there are just two, and anyone claiming otherwise is a liar or mad. I could go on.

We have to stop lying to ourselves because we want a certain outcome.

The Stanford study argues the changes in circadium rhythm causes strokes.

I used to work not just swing shifts but at all hours; I'd have to be in a six a.m. one day, then work overnight the next, then in the evenin the evening the next, then a mid shft.It sucked and I was always tired but it didn't kill me. That was far worse than one single shift in six months.

I'm not saying it's a picnic, but I am saying people need to suck it up. I doubt there are any health consequences at all, and it there were we'd have noticed them by now.

I call B.S.

— FBI Director Kash Patel (@FBIDirectorKash) September 25, 2025

He has been indicted on charges of lying to Congress and Obstruction of Justice.

Here is the text of the indictment.

Next on deck; John Brennan, the architect of the Russian Collusion hoax.

BTW Comey had great responsibility and, given he went after people like Gen. Flynn,  laying a perjory trap (Flynn didn't even know he was being interrogated; he thought he was chatting) Comey must bear a higher standard. So he has no ground to cry foul.

Feds Tripping Over Each Other on J6

Timothy Birdnow

Looks like J6 WAS a setup after all.

FBI admits 275 agents were embedded in crowd on January 6

Did any one of those agents TRY to stop the crowd from crossing the taped off section? Did even one try to stop them from going into the Capitol building? what were they doing there if not trying to divert the crowd away from any form of illegality?

On the contrary, there was a guy with a bullhorn urging people to move forward into the interdicted area. He kept shouting into that horn to move forward. Most J6ers didn't know they were trespassing.

Was bullhorn guy a Federal agent?

So there were 275 embedded agents, according to a Congressional investigation, despite government claims there were NO agents at all, zip, zero, nada, the null set.

From the Blaze article:

The news comes in the wake of claims by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Inspector General that the FBI had no undercover personnel in the Jan. 6 crowds.

"We found no evidence in the materials we reviewed or the testimony we received showing or suggesting that the FBI had undercover employees in the various protest crowds, or at the Capitol, on January 6,” the DOJ OIG said in an 88-page report released in December 2024.

Depending how one reads "undercover” agents versus "plainclothes agents,” both statements could be true.

The same report disclosed that 26 FBI confidential human sources were in the Jan. 6 crowds, four of whom entered the Capitol.

The DOJ inspector general said only three of the FBI informants had been assigned by the bureau to come to Washington and report on "domestic terrorism subjects who were possibly attending the event.

Yet we now know they were present. Were they observers or instigators? We KNOW the cops there were instigating. FTA:

Undercover Metropolitan Police Department officers have acknowledged inciting the crowds by helping protesters climb over barriers, encouraging them to continue on to the Capitol, and applauding those committing vandalism.

Most of the video footage shot by dozens of undercover MPD officers on Jan. 6 has never been made public, despite attempts by Pope to dislodge the number through court motions in his Jan. 6 criminal case.

The FBI also had tactical teams at the Capitol who responded to help clear the building after Ashli Babbitt was shot outside the Speaker’s Lobby at 2:44 p.m. Other tactical units from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and U.S. Marshals were also on site.

And given the National Guard was refused by Pelosi, the Capitol Police (under Pelosi's control) and the FBI (under Christopher Wray) could act and not be reported. National Guardsmen would probably have reported instigators.

Oh, the article also says:

The DOJ inspector general said only three of the FBI informants had been assigned by the bureau to come to Washington and report on "domestic terrorism subjects who were possibly attending the event.”

So, either they thought there would be no trouble or they are lying about the number of agents present that day. Take your pick; incompetence or dishonesty. Neither is a flattering look on the FBI.

But given the acrimony of the election and the fact so many people were going to be in Washington and it was ripe for terrorist activity, be it by ANY group, one cannot believe this level of incompetence. It's plain this was always a setup.

Swine Flew

Timothy Birdnow

This one leaves me scratching my head.

‘How Serious Is It?’: Alan Dershowitz Breaks Down What Punishments Could Await From Students’ Pork Prank

How can you charge someone with BURGLARY when, instead of removing someone's things, you give them an unwanted gift?

According to the Daily Caller article:

Police charged two 18-year-old Syracuse University students with burglary as a hate crime and criminal nuisance after one allegedly threw a bag of pork into a Jewish fraternity house during Rosh Hashanah. In an appearance on "The Record with Greta Van Susteren,” Dershowitz said the students’ actions crossed university standards of decency more than criminal law, predicting they could face expulsion on campus.

Well, a hate crime is fine and so is criminal nuisance. Health code violations would be warranted too. Expulsion definitely should be on the table. But burglary? I don't get that one.

Dersh explains that entering the frat house is what changed it from an act of self-expression to a hate crime and burglary. I would call that trespassing, but what they heck.

In the end the law will probably go easy on them. (They will give them a donut and tell them in future to stick to church oriented social activities.)

Actually, one must question the response to this insofar as these punk kids are doing exactly what was expected of them by their professors and others whom they were told to listen to and respect. They've been told, repeatedly, that Jews are a monolithic culture bent on world domination and that they have been systematically committing genocide on the poor Palestinians, who were just sitting there in their traidtional homeland until the EEeeeeevilll Jews showed up and started killing them for no good reason. That these kids just tossed a bit of ham at the Jewish frat brothers illustrates their benevolence and genlteness. Expulsion, likely community service, and perhaps incarceration seems out of proportion given this wasn't really their idea to begin with. I'll tell you who needs to be punished - the leftist profs who filled their heads with this evil dogma.

We will continue to have such incidents, and far worse ones, if we continue to allow Communists and libertines to hide behind tenure and be protected and coddled by universities. These kids are just the symptom; the disease is embedded in department chairs and other such places in all of academia, and parents are paying them to twist their children's minds.

BTW we send kids to college to "expand their minds". But sometimes expanding things is not good. An expanded belly, for instance, is less of a benefit than keeping it flat. We want to expand our kid's  minds but in a constructive way. Colleges now expand them in ways that they are unable to handle and then we criticize when they act out in the manner their teachers told them.
