Who says banks, insurance and mortgage companies are heartless and hard to work with? Here's an absolutely AMAZING fact. With tens of millions of beachfront properties in the US alone, from Malibu to Martha's Vineyard, not one--not ONE!--has ever been declined the services of any of those institutions, stamped "rejected" owing to those properties obviously being doomed to go underwater by "sea level rise." What champs of those companies to take it on the chin like that!

It's why houses in flood plains are generally cheaper than those that are not. It is much harder to get a home loan for a house located in a flood zone. And you pay more. But beachfront property?
