New York HAg, er, AG, Letitia James, has filed a brief asking SCOTUS to dismiss the suit filed by Missouri's Andrew Bailey to force the delay of sentencing for President Trump and to lift the gag order.
Bailey, the Missouri Attorney General (AG) filed in court because Missouri voters are being disenfranchised by New York. Trump cannot make his arguments to the public without falling afoul of the partisan hack judge in his case. And sentencing Trump before the election is nothing but an attempt to suppress votes for the former President.
New York's High Attorney General (HAG) campaigned on the promise she would "get Trump".
There is no way in knowing how the SCOTUS will jump on this. John Roberts could go either way. So too could Amy Coney Barret and Brett kavanagh.
Judge Merchan, who has run this proceeding more like Judge Roy Bean than like a serious jurist and who repeatedly denied Mr. Trump basic rights to defend himself properly, could vacate the conviction but I wouldn't hold my breath.
