Here is the real-world proof that U.N. Agenda 21/30 is being implemented in California and across the nation. The high rise living units being built in small suburban communities is exactly what the Agenda 21 crowd mandated.

The illustration accompanying the article is quite instructive; it shows a massive high-rise next to a mall of quaint little shops. The high-rise stands there like a castle tower, or a Muslim minaret - something built by a conqueror to cow the public into submission. 

Yes, this is about money and about integrating neighborhoods, but it's also about political power; this was Barack Obama's scheme to build big high-rise section 8 housing in suburban, often Republican districts so they can water down the Republican vote. It was a form of gerrymandering only instead of redrawing the districts you move people.

And, as I have said in days gone by, this fits with the "15 minute city" putting large numbers of people in small spaces so they need not drive anywhere. Put them into pens, like cattle.

My home town of St. Louis should have taught everyone this is a terrible idea. We had a series of housing projects (which is essentially what this is) that failed spectacularly. The most infamous one was Pruitt-Igo, a big housing project that became synonymous with Hell. The sparkling new "decent" apartment complex quickly degenerated into a drug and crime-infested hellhole, and even the police stopped responding to calls from within it's walls. (Eddie Murphy did a stop motion animated t.v. series called The P.J.'s which was pretty much based on it.) Within just a few years Pruitt Igo was condemned and demolished.

So the city fathers went to plan B which was a mixed use community called Laclede Town near St. Louis University and the theater distric. Nice little duplexes with lots of fresh air, because we all know the problem in the ghetto is not enough fresh air. These were supposed to be half public assistance and half regular people, because the problem of poverty was just not enough social contact with the working class! Of course it went about the way you would expect; the place turned into a crime riddled hellhole in just a few years. They did attract a few working class folks at first but those quickly moved out as the complex was overrun by crime and drugs. They eventually tore down all of Laclede Town, giving St. Louis University lots of room to expand (and making the campus safer).

These things were all attempts at "15 minute cities" where people could live, shop, and work within fifteen minutes, even if they didn't drive anywhere.

Such places CAN work if they are expensive enough to keep the trash out; rich people don't tear up their own neighborhoods. But you move the poor and homeless in and the place goes to pot because there is a REASON why people are poor and in America it rarely is because they can't find work. The poor in America are usually poor because they are trapped in a pattern of thinking that eschews education, eschews hard work, eschews sobriety. They usually pop children out like bowel movements, with no way to support the children.

I used to see it all the time when I was a property manager. It was heartbreaking many times as the children had no chance at all in life. I wrote about my experiences at Orthodoxy Today years ago. Poverty in America was a mindset, a survival strategy that involved simply giving up and letting the government care for you. You party to forget your shitty life and spit out kids because they bring more money from the government and you live in filthy shitholes because it's easier than working and trying to make a life for yourself. That is one of the problems; it's much harder to be in the working poor than in the welfare class and so why bother? But there is a terrible price to be paid.

At any rate these are not the people you want as neighbors, and move them in next door and you are just asking for trouble. They are loud, get into fights, and they steal. Then when the good folks who rented or bought next door to them leave more criminals and institutional poor move in and eventually the whole thing collapses. So the state tears down the property and builds somewhere else, in some other decent neighborhood, and the whole process starts anew.

I used to live in St. Louis County (I'm now in the City) and there was a nice, working class neighborhood called Glasgow Village. This featured small but nice frame houses and it ended at the city limits of St. Louis, which had a long arm extending north into St. Louis county so the city could maintain ownership of a water treatment plant near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Glasgow nestled right up against that arm of the city. And it was perhaps the best property in the whole of St. Louis because there was a bluff with a spectacular view. An amusement park - Chain of Rocks Funfair Park - sat atop the bluff (and they had a roller coaster called Mini-Mouse which, while very small and tame, had a wicked turn right over the bluff, suspending you in mid-air for a times). The city decided to build a small apartment complex for section 8 people. Then a mysterious fire burned down Funfair Park and the city built a new group of public housing on the site of the old amusement park. Instead of building high-end homes to enjoy the view (there were some halfway down the hill where it wasn't a bluff - high end homes on private streets) they put in public housing.

You can see where this is going. Glasgow began becoming increasingly "integrated" with people on government assistance and it became increasingly crime-riddled. The white working class moved out and it is now the worst community in the whole St. Louis area. At least one in five houses is now vacant and boarded up. Crime is rampant and there are constant shooting there. I used to live just outside of Glasgow and my brother lives there now, and he said he doesn't go outside after dark anymore. He used to go running at night for exercise but he would be in great peril. You can hear gunshots all the time around there now.

That is what this "affordable housing" brings. It's what "15 minute cities" give you.

There are people who like that, like the danger of living in a bad neighborhood. But most people just want peace and quiet when they get home from work, and want their property to hold it's value.

The fundamental assumption of the Liberal is tha Man is inherently good and that to fix problems like urban ghettoization one need but change the environment for the underclass and they will naturally rise up, learn from those who were more successful. The reality is the opposite; Man is inherently evil, as the Bible says, and rubbing elbows with the unsuccessful will drag people down. You turn working class people into thugs and criminals when you integrate the impoverished underclass with the working class.

Of course the Liberals also enjoy the pleasure of schadenfreude as they love rubbing our collective noses in it. That is the cherry on top of their policies! But their policies are lies straight from Hell and always have been.

This will ruin the good communities we have, and further erode our culture (which for the Left is the whole point). America was built on small communities, clean and prosperous. The Left seeks to destroy those so they can create a new America. They use the poor as one of their weapons.

But in the end it brings only ruin. And they can then sit amid the ruins, amid the ashes and debris, and thin themselves gods and kings.

Well, for once I side with their mantra - no kings. They need to go back to their homes in Hell.
