BTW, I seem to have read somewhere that peanut allergies in kids are minimizing these days. I didn't read the article, not having such problems in my family. But I wonder what's causing the improvement?

Growing up the neighbor kids put peanut butter on waffles and that was great! Of course my mother wouldn't let us do it.

I can't remember the last time I had waffles, but I know we sure haven't made 'em in years. We used to have a Belgian waffle maker but it didn't survive our last move, mainly because we hadn't used it in umpteen years.
Waffles and pancakes are not "big" in this house.
