2 Absolutely Bill!  These things are killing all sorts of native critters. I saw a special on them; they can kill a full grown alligator!  Biologists are particularly worried about the rare American crocodile which lives in the swamps down in Florida. Now, I have no love for gators or crocs, but I don't want somebody's giant pet killing them off.

On the same show they had a king snake trying to kill a BABY python by squeezing it. King snakes are the largest snakes in North America. The baby python was fine and the King Snake had to give up. That means basically these pythons have no natural predators and are largely at the top of the food chain. That's a bad thing.

I'm glad they are doing this. I know it's always open season on these snakes (being an invasive species) but there needs to be something to get everyone in the game.
