The Glass Brain

When Mt. Vesuvius erupted and destroyed Pompeii in 79 A.D. it also destroyed the seaside resort of Herculaneum. Well, some guy got his brains turned to glass, or at least a similar material, inside his skull.
He was identified as the custodian of the College of the Augustales, so he was an egghead before Vesuvius made him a glass head.
I bet he'd be a Democrat today.
I've heard of a glass eye, but a glass brain?
