Clearly the Japanese think there is a future in coal. Why?

Well, it'll be cheap now that the rich nations have stopped using it out of concern about Global Warming.

And after Fukishima the Japanese are concerned about building nuclear plants on a typhoon plagued volcanic island.

Don't look at what people say, look at what they do. China is still using coal, and so is India. Now Japan. How long before the pendulum swings back?
