This followed the curse that said childbearing would be a very painful affair. Almost always people focus on the child bearing and ignore the second part about the man ruling with a rod of iron. But what does it mean?
It means that women will want what they have always wanted since Eve usurped Adam's role as head of the family - power. All women seek power in the relationship to a greater or lesser degree (and lesser usually is found in religious families, not among the secular). Until we empowered the law to a point where it can interfere in the matters between husband and wife women couldn't grasp this power because the man was physically and emotionally stronger, by and large. But now, with technology and an all-pervasive government, the women have been able to create a society where they can rule the roost. But what is the result? Are they happy? No, because that's not how Nature and Nature's God made them. Be it Divine providence or a million years of evolution, women were intended to defer to the men in the end.
They don't like it. But does a man who works in a coal mine like his lot in life? His wife may work too but probably under better conditions. Many a man has worked himself to death to provide for the family his wife gets to enjoy.
Some men may like these "strong, confident women" but most don't want a rival, but rather a lover and wife. Who wants to work all day to come home to a woman who sees you as an enemy? It might be exciting, the war of the sexes, for a few months but that fades. So it comes down to the man either surrendering and becoming one of her girlfriends or his standing firm and living in constant turnoil.
Feminism has upended our natural sexual roles and the power shift is in nobody's interests, even if it is what a number of women think they want.
Andy Griffith once said of the young but it's true of all of us to a degree "they will grab the first shiny thing that comes along and by the time they realize there's a hook in it it's too late". Many things that seemd quite desirable wind up being a source of misery to us. Shoot; Satan himself saw the shiny bright dream of a life outside of the Will of God and hooked himself and the angels (and people) who were foolish enough to listen to him. I doubt Satan is happy about his choices - he is just stubborn enough to refuse to admit he was wrong and ask for forgiveness.
That is feminism in a nutshell. It's the elevation of a sin, one not mentioned as such in the Bible perhaps but it's a sin nonetheless. (There are Biblical passages about how men and women are to behave but they are often disregarded by the Church these days.) Sins are just things that God does not approave and He doesn't approave them because ultimately they will hurt us and those around us. Feminism has caused untold misery over the years. Broken homes, venereal diseases, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, abortions, women working themselves like donkeys, a horrible twisting of the social fabric to promote "gender equity". And marriage is disappearing as the young, seeing the misery of their parents, don't want any part of that. But they don't realize it's not the marriage that's the problem but the feminist views of society that have redefined the rolls of the mother and father and broke a system that worked.
And as the numnber of desperate and deviant children are raised up they metastasize the problem that created their misery in the first place. Feminism and Leftism in general is purely evil and leads to suffering and pain and despair.
If one wants to be happy one must first admit who you are. Feminism has co-opted that, but the reality is God made them male and female, as the Bible says, and who we are is tied to those rolls in no small part. A woman may desire to act in a masculine fashion, but that will not serve her happiness because she's not a man. The same holds true of trans "women" who desire to be female but are in the end men. You can pretend to be something you are not but you are living a lie, and that lie will make you miserable. The Truth shall set you free.

I thought so Dana. Sadly many women - even good women - might get mad about it (glad my wife doesn't read the blog) but it had to be said. I think most women just wanted to be treated likethey had a brain and were equal partners in a marriage originally but feminism is female supremacism, not a search for equal partnership. That was inevitable, I fear. And now the balance is out of whack, with men being feminized and castrated to a large degree.
As Robert Duvall' s character says in Broken Trail "you can't understimate the hold that little split-tail has on a man". Men will do anything to keep the bufffet open for business.
