The Fall of the American Republic

Future historians will note this election as the fall of the American Republic. Like Rome continued to exist technically after Odoacer was proclaimed emperor in 476, it may not have been perceived as the end but it was and the same is true for America. The Constitution, the rule of law, the integrity of the Courts and the Congress no longer matter. We are now an empire, one run by power and wealth.
