The incomparable Victor Davis Hansen asks "why did Biden do it" over the open border.

He nails it in many ways (as usual with VDH). Political power, growing government, a sense of "equity", internationalism, and pure spite are all reasons he offers up.

He doesn't bother mentioning commercial interests, which are also a powerful reason. the "universal free trade" schemes put in place since the first Bush Administration makes cheap labor absolutely necessary, and outfits like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have been strong advocates of unrestrained immigration even though that hurts American workers. Big tech also has been a strong supporter of The Great Replacement so they can get cheap labor; they have forgotten that Henry Ford paid his employees more so they could afford to buy his products, apparently. Now it's just about the bottom line. And, as Joe Biden suggested, the displaced should "learn to code" - even though they probably won't get a job because some Indian Kaffir has been imported on an H1B Visa to take the job.

I think he needed to concentrate on the last more; much of this is purely revolutionary, an attempt to destroy America and the rest of the West and build a new world empire. Nothing new can emerge, they believe, until the old order is gone. This is the thinking of the anarchists, who were actually communists but believed by sowing anarchy they would destroy the old order and the new communist one would emerge. George Soros is one such - a socialist who also loves anarchy and cultivates it by sowing discord and chaso. The Biden border policy (and indeed the border policies of Obama, Bush, and Clinton) all smacked of this. Bush, you ask? Yes, Bush too. Bush was a one world guy who saw borders as a relic of the past. His own company Arbusto Energy was started with the funding of Saudis, primarily Osama Bin Laden's own brother. To Bush and the other elites borders are just inconveniences. And all his friends and big donors wanted it that way.

Bush Sr. softened Reagan's border control policies (Reagan cracked down, but got swindled by Congress who promised an end to illegalimmigration if he granted amnesty to those here then they kept the borders open) and Clinton killed it. Biden just metastasized the problem (he made Obama look like strict).

At any rate there are multiple reasons for this. I would argue the Ruling Class in Europe and in the Americas want an end to the old order, to rebuilt Nimrod's Biblical empire (he was the guy who built the tower of Babel). This is all part of the utopian scheme to recreate human civilization "the great reset". You can't have a reset with the same people; you have to change 'em out. The elites want to change out America, to put a new, more easily manipulated class in charge. They damned near succeeded with this scheme too. And they won't give up; it will be a fight after Donald Trump is gone.

There is no greater religious fervor than that of the revolutionary; they have committed themselves to a dream of "making a better world" and in their single-minded quest lose any and all discernment, all wisdom. That is the Left in modernity entirely; extraordinarily capable at getting what they want but completely clueless of why they should or should not want it. But they are energized, and while they are now depressed they will be re-energized, especially if and when the GOP returns to their vomit like a dog. We have to remain on the offensive, and for decades. Unless we remember who we are - and that especially includes our Judeo-Christian faith - we will lose. They have a dream, and truly believe they are making a better world. Sadly most on our side are simply fighting for the status quo, or out of petty self-interest. We can't win without a deep core faith to inflame us.

There is a reason why Jesus told his Apostles to shake the dust of any town that didn't receive them off their feet and move on; Jesus wasn't interested in cajoling anyone. He knew a strong, fervent kernal was what was needed,not an amorphous luke-warm rabble. Now it's the Left that is has the kernal and we are the amorphous rabble. But with Trump that could possibly change - if we fan the fires of fervor. And to keep those fires alive we need more than just slogans or even historical attachments; we need our old faith. Onward Christian soldier!

Without that they will win, and they will resume the invasion of America and Europe, and we will cease to exist as a People.

One last mention of the Bible; in the Old Testament God gave Israel a strict warning as they were about to enter the Holy Land. He warned them that the temptation to sloth was going to be great, and with sloth would come a cooling of faith in Him, and an adoption of the clearlly more enjoyable pracitices of the Canaanite peoples (things like the cult of fertility for Baal, which involved lots of sexual antics while Yahweh was more austere and prudish). He warned "the land will vomit you out as it did the Canaanites". It did too - twice. I fear the land is vomiting US out because of our heresy and apostacy. This nation was consecrated to God and He protected it. Read about Washington during the Revolution - he was clearly protected by the Divine. Read about what happened to the British when they seied Washington D.C. during the War of 1912; the city was surrendered to the British (who burned much of it) without a fight, but the British actually retreated from the city in complete dissaray. Why? God Himself fought for us and drove the British out. He poured out His wrath in the form of tornadoes, hail, lightning strikes. The British soldiers fled in terror, and those who had been there warned God was protecting Ameria and Britain would be well-advised to leave America alone.

That was then. Since then He has blessed us with wealth beyond our imagining, with power, with peace. And how did we thank Him? We kicked Him out of our schools, out of our public properties, and we we came to act just like Canaanites, with sex becoming our god. Well, the land began dry heaving.

We've been given a reprieve; we need to turn away from our vomit and He will restore us. Sadly the younger generation seems to think the God of our fathers is just a silly myth.

In the end the greatest nation in human history will fall because we refused to stop others from simply taking it from us. And we'll do that because we will have rejected our role in history and our faith. Nobody will care enough to stop the barbarians when they come. First we created barbarians within our midst. And gave them power.

The Germans were put in charge of border security by Rome and look how that turned out.
