The Devil and Jon Stewart

Timothy Birdnow

It is a terrible thing to face the realization that what you truly believed your whole life has turned out to be false and that YOU are actually on the side of evil.

Jon Stewart Tries to Downplay Motives, Wonders if Shooters are F-ing with us

Ri-ight. These shooters were fully prepared to die a horrible death for their cause but they took the time to frame the Left. And their social media was set up for years to frame the left. And the Kirk shooter was banging a dude in a dress and an animal costume to frame the left.

Stewart cannot face the fact that it is his side full of animus and hatred.

The mirthless comedian/pundit said:

"Doesn’t anybody think it’s [bleep] weird that these people just started writing on bullets all of a sudden like that’s the most effective way to get out their deeply held political beliefs? ‘Anti-ICE.’ Nuff said. Or is there the slightest possibility that these people are [bleep] with us.

The very fact that they are all writing on bullet casings (not bullets as perhaps Stewart believes) is proof of the monolithic nature of leftism and how they all suffer group-think. Oh, and it IS perhaps the best way to get their point across as those casings will be held in evidence and there is no way to misinterpret or to hide or lose them.

Stewart then said:

"What kind of [bleep] psychotic internet culture—what’s happening? Can’t we just go back to the cinnamon challenge? Is that so hard? What is wrong with you people? Look, we would definitely have a healthier political discourse if we weren’t constantly calling each other fascists and communists and Nazis. But we’re the only place in the world where this shit happens all the time. But we are not the only place in the world that name calls.

At least he realizes the internet culture IS psychotic, but he fails to realize why. It's because it's a LEFTIST internet culture. I suppose he doesn't reemember the Reign of Terror in France after the Revolution, nor the monstrous murder spree of the bolsheviks or in China after the Revolution.

I suppose he doesn't remember Trotsky, who was murdered by Stalin's agents in Mexico? In fact there are assassinations all the time, and especially by the Left.

Stewart then played a clip from CNN:

"John Quincy Adams taking aim at [Andrew] Jackson, asserting that Jackson didn’t know how to spell, was too uneducated to become president, while newspapers portrayed his wife, Rachel, as a short, fat dumpling.”

Personal insults are very different from accusing the other side of being Nazis, as the article points out; one must kill Nazis because they will start a new holocaust if not stopped. But this statement is also just plain stupid; anyone remember Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton? Burr killed Hamilton in a duel over insults from the latter. And during the Revolution there were all sorts of angry mobs going after British apologists with ropes, or with tar and feathers. Britain's governor of Massachussets Thomas Hutchinson had his hom burned down and was pursued with people with rope who wished to hang him. This is nothing new.

Anyone remember Abraham Lincoln? James Garfield?

The reason it's worse now is that every crazy in America can communicate instantaneously and they feed each-otther's delusions. But in the end this is nothing new - neither here nor anywhere else.

Stewart is trying to triangulate - to position himself as a "centrist" when in fact he is justifying the unjustifiable. He cannot face the fact that his side is just evil.

1 Those who have spent the largest part (I didn't want to say "best") of their lives smack in the middle of the left really can't process the evil that they are part of, can they? When it suddenly hits 'em in the face like a spotlight, they try every dodge they can think of to excuse it or to deny it, but it's still there for all of us to see.

2 Actually, the picture I saw had writing extending across both the bullet and the casing, meaning that it was on the cartridge. The whole thing indicated to me that we have less of a political problem than we have a severe mental health problem.

3 I agree Dana. They have lived their whole lives under the assumption they are the good guys and we are the haters. Now it's obvious the reverse is true and they can't accept that; it goes against everything they have believed all their lives. It's like a devout Muslim who denies terrorism is the fault of Muslims and then he sees some Jihadist blow up a kinderrgarten; he simply denies the bomber was a Muslim because he always believed Islam was a religion of peace.

Bill, I didn't see that but I'm sure you are correct.I'm not sure I understand your reasoning in saying this is a mental health issue more than a political one (after all, he did write "catch this Fascists" on one of them.) No doubt mental illness plays a big part in it.

4 Also, Tim, don't forget that most likely, nobody from the generations that postdated Benito Mussolini really know what the term "fascism" really means. I think that's proved when you hear the word tossed around by every Democrat in the country. They all just think it has some sort of negative context.

5 Agreed Dana. And it is a testament to the uselessness of the American educational system and the laziness of the young. Benito Mussolini wrote a treatise called The Doctrine of Fascism where he explains exactly what he was seeking to accomplish, so there is no excuse. But you're right; Fascism to the young is just a mean stupid poopey-head!
